地图符号及其本质的研究

本文探讨了制约地图符号设计的内在的基本规律,提出了地图符号的约定性原则和等价性原理。把作为地图符号的物质时象同传输过程中的地图符号区别开来,分析了地图符号的价值及价格,并对内涵地图符号和外延地图符号及其相互关系进行了研究,最后提出了新的地图符号分类原理。

A Research on the Nature of Map Symbols

The existing regularity which has an important influence on the design of map symbols is studied in this paper. The convention and the equivalent principle of map symbols are put forward and explained. The author differentiates the substantial object from the map symbol, and points out that the former is transferred into the latter only when the map communiction, i.e., the map symbol convention process, occurs.The conception of the value and the price of the map symbol is defined and elucidated. Based on the analysis of the connotation and the denotation of concept, the author explains the conception of the connotation map symbol and the denotation symbol, and analizes their " reverse-transferring " relationship. Finally, a new classification principle of map symbols is put forward by the author.
