摘    要:珠穆朗玛峰是位于我国西藏西南边疆的喜马拉雅山脉的主峰,也是世界的最高峰。该山脉自第三纪隆起以来,由于其显著的屏障作用,强烈地改变着西藏的自然环境,其影响甚至扩及全球,故对其进行古地理研究,了解其演变过程,对认识和改造自然界都是十分重要的。

Abstract:The data on the spore-pollen analysis of Quarternary deposits in Mount Jolmo Lungma region indicate that during the first interglacial period, i.e. Phari intergla-cial period (early Pleistocene), the southern part of this region, the Phari area, was characterized by a warm climate and a theropeucedrymion forest with broad-leaf species, such as oak, as the chief member. Later the mountain has been uplifted 1000 m or more. In the time of second interglacial age, i.e. Chiapu-la interglacial period (Middle Pleistocene), the northern part of this region was characterized in the Chiapu-La area by refreshing and humid climate and dense forest of spruce and in the Lake Poku area by a mild and humid climate and a theropeucedrymion forest with pine as the chief member. Since then the northern part has undergone an uplift of about 1600 m, so that the present natural conditions remarkably differ from the past.
