Abstract:
In order to verify the anti scour effect of the new Umbrella Suction Anchor Foundation,a wave-suction anchor-seabed interaction model was establishd by FLOW-3D.Based on the JONSWAP spectrum and the wind data of Yellow River Delta,the local scour characteristics of the umbrella suction anchor foundation(USAF)under random waves and non-cohesive soil were studied.First,the flow changes and the scour evolution around the anchor under random waves were discussed,and then the influence of the effective wave height and water depth on the local scour changes of the anchor were analyzed.The results show that the turbulence in the range of 0~3 m before the anchor and 6~12 m behind the anchor was intensified because of the presence of anchor,and its ability to transport soil particles was enhanced,which caused the local scour around the anchor.The anchor branches of USAF can reduce the soil erosion around the anchor and improve the stability.With the increase of the effective wave height,the erosion in front of the anchor(within 45°)was intensified,and the deposition range moved back.The change of water depth has a significant effect on the postpile vortex shedding.With the increase of the water depth,the post-pile vortex shedding was increased,which intensified sediment transport.
