摘    要:本文以大量古生物、古文化遗址及测年资料,分析台湾海峡两岸受新构造运动影响和自更新世以来的古地理演变,从而证明了台湾是中国神圣领土不可分割的一部分。

Abstract:The two coasts of Taiwan Strait belong to continental-margin crust.In Pleistocene,because of Yanshanian-Himalayan movements in the continent and Penglai movementof Taiwan,the strait was in a state of continuous regression,and two coasts receivedgravel deposits of over 1000m thick.The biocoenoses changed latitudinally into S-N div-sion,and the mammalia traversed the strait from continent to Taiwan,Cave materialswere found on either coast, so the strait was in neritic facies for a longtime and withflourishing marine faunas. Coral-reef forest was also found along the coasts. In LatePleistocene,intense orogenic movement came to a stop,and sediments were nonmarinebut indicating a small-scale transgression,for marine fossils were discovered in strata80m above sea level at the west coast of Taiwa Strait,which gives the evidence thatthere was a short-lived marine transgression in Late Pleistocene. In Holocene,dias-trophism tended towards stability on either coast.In the strait,there were found a lot ofshell mounds and cultural legacy,indicating that transgressions and regressions werefrequent.In a word,the two coasts are sometimes separate and sometimes link up witheach other,and therefore Taiwan is a part of mainland China.
