La Morte du Sauget,un ancien méandre du Rhône: bilan hydrologique et biogéochimique

The ‘Morte du Sauget’, a typical oxbow-lake in process of eutrophication and encroachment, is located in the alluvial plain of the French Upper Rhône River. Studies during 1983 have shown that, although the ‘Morte du Sauget’ is seasonally inundated by the Rhône, the impact of flooding is only temporary and is minimized by the biological activity of the waters and sediments of this system.
