青海共和盆地的风沙堆积

我国沙漠主要分布在青藏高原以北干旱内陆盆地区域。在高原内部,除柴达木有广泛的风沙堆积外,青海东部共和盆地也是沙丘分布比较集中的-个区域。自1981年夏季以来,笔者曾数度涉足共和盆地,对盆地内风沙堆积获得一些初步认识。鉴于在中国沙漠研究中,共和盆地的沙区尚无专文系统报道,现根据野外考察和室内分析资料整理成文,以供沙漠研究与治理部门参考。

Aeolian Sand Deposits in The Gonghe Basin,Qinghai Province

There are broad deposits of aeolien sand in the Gonghe Basin of Qinghai province, It is a sand region which is the southern most of latitude as well as the highest altitude of desert zone in China.There have mainly two dune types, i e. crescent dunes and longitudinal dunes. The grain size and heavy minerals analysis indi cate that the source of sands is from the alluviall acustrine deposits of early-middle Pleistocene(Ql-2), It is widely distributed and has megathickness. In this basin, the sand dunes are formed of two different ages.From determination of Radiocaobon dating:They are formed in two dry periods of the late Pleistocene and Holocene, which are relative to Late-wiirm Glacial period and third stages of the Neoglaciation ageft
