Trace element geochemistry and genesis of the Pindos ophiolite suite

Abundances of major elements, rare earth elements, transition metals, alkali metals and alkaline earth metals have been measured in a representative suite of samples from the Pindos (Greece) ophiolitic complex. Our data indicate that the igneous members of the complex are genetically related. An ocean floor origin of the complex is suggested.
