| Abstract: | A new model of geochemical element statistical distribution is suggested in this paper. If the element content is obtained from many geochemical processes, the statistical distribution type of it is usually normal. If the geochemical processes involved do not make the element content deviate from a central concentration,the distribution shold be normal. If not the case,the resulting type could be a mixture that included one normal component. This paper presents a basic formula for analysing mixed distribution by using robust statistical theory and a FORTRAN program to the new model. The effect of the model is demonstrated by examples. |
