| Abstract: | color is one of the important target of evaluating a diamond on the "4Cs" ,and one of the important basis for determining the grade and price of a diamond as well.When we grade a diamond by color, there are four essential conditions listed below appropriate illuminant,standard comparison stones,perfect grading environment.and a well-trained person to grade diamonds. How to understand these four conditions accurately .which direct the operation in the process of grading practice in order to get objective and reliable conclusion of the color of a diamond. In the light of our study and practice,we analyze these four conditions and put forward some essentials which should be paid attention to. |
