台湾海峡西部海域晚第四纪地层

对台湾海峡西部海域的16个柱状岩芯进行孢粉、硅藻、有孔虫、¹⁴C和古地磁的系统分析测定,将本海域的晚第四纪地层自老到新划分为E、D、C、B、A层。研究结果证实了早武木冰期中晚期的琅岐海侵层（D层上部）、武木亚间冰期的福州海侵层（C层）和冰后期的长乐海侵层（A层）的存在,并首次发现里斯-武木间冰期的金门海侵层（E层）。研究表明,晚武木冰期吋本海域仍为浅海环境,沉积了“海峡海侵层”（B层）。

LATE QUATERNARY STRATIGRAPHY IN THE WESTERN TAIWAN STRAIT

The analyses of palynology, diatom, foraminifera, radiocarbon dating and paleomagnetism are made on sixteen piston cores collected in the comprehensive surveys on the Fujian coastal zone and the western Taiwan Strait by the Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration in 1984—1985 and the studies on the Late Quaternary stratigraphic division and correlation in the western Taiwan Strait are carried out. The results show that the Late Quaternary strata in the western Taiwan Strait can be divided into following formations in age sequence.Upper Pleistocene （Q₃）:Formation E in Riss-Wurm Interglacial Period, more than 70 000 aB.P. Sublittoral sediments, named as Jinmen Transgression.Formation D in Early Wurm Glacial Period, 70 000—42 000 aB.P. Terrestrial sediments in the lower section; littoral sediments in the upper section, corresponding to Langqi Transgression.Formation C in Wurm Sub-interglaical Period, 42 000—23 000 aB.P. Sublittoral sediments, corresponding to Fuzhou Transgression.Formation B in Late Wurm Glacial Period, 23 000—11 000 aB.P. Sublittoral sediments, named as Haixia Transgression.Holocene （Q₄）:Formation A in Postglaical Period, since 11 000 aB.P. Sublittoral sediments, corresponding to Changle Transgression. Further subdivided into Formation A₁ in Pre-boreal and Boreal, Formation A₂ in Atlantic and Sub-boreal, and Formation A₃ （Q₄³） in Sub-atlantic.
