| Abstract: | The singular value decomposition (SVD) between 500hPa height field over the Northern hemisphere and spring rainfall in Northwest China are performed based on 35 years of data from 1961 till 1995. The higher correlation region between the synchronous and preceding 500hPa height field and the spring rainfall in Northwest China are obtained. Coupling relation of both fields is analyzed. Both circulation feature and key region of forecast are found. |
