Abstract:Using TM satellite data, the authors analyzed spectral curve features, chose the region of interest for supervising classification, vectorization and data conversion, and finally realized automatic interpretation of the rocky desertification spots on computer. This study indicates that the application of remote sensing technique to investigating rocky desertification is an effective means, which is characterized not only by short period but also by great accuracy.
