| Abstract: | Dalongwan, located in Huinan County, Jilin Province, is a water lake. Various volcanic products including lavas and pyroclastic rocks surround the lake. This paper will focus the data from the field work to discuss the characteristics of volcanic geology and petrology in Dalongwan area, to approach the genesis of basic ignimbrite and breccia and to restore the volcano structure as well as the evolutional history of the volcano. Finally, it is concluded that the crater lake is a caldera. |
