After analyzing the current situation of navigational channel resource in Xiamen Bay ,the urgency to exploit the deep water navigational channel in Xiamen Bay was described and the principles and pattern of resource development of deep water navigational channel in Xiamen Bay were put forward .These principles and pattern may provide scientific basis for resource development of port and navigational channel in Xiamen Bay.
