Abstract:Bachimen landslide, located in Fujian Province, China, is the current largest landslide occurred during the highway construction; monitoring is the important content among landslide dynamic design and information construction. A large scale monitoring system is built in this landslide, this paper discusses the monitoring system design, in situ layout of monitoring facilities and testing methods in detail. Monitoring items consist of surface displacement, horizontal displacement of landslide body and anti-sliding piles, soil pressure behind anti-sliding piles, tensile force of anchor cables, cracks and underground water level. Based on the synthetic analysis of typical monitoring results, sliding direction, slip surface, displacement of landslide body, the variation of anchor cables’ force and underground water level are all obtained, which provides direct proofs not only for dynamic remedial design, but also for the safety construction. Furthermore, the monitoring system makes it possible for the landslide deformation and residents’ on the landslide are all far away from abnormal serious condition. In the result, the remedial construction keeps safe and engineering cost is greatly saved, which will provide significant reference for those relevant landslide monitoring projects.
