Abstract: | As a new kind of composite pile for the soft soil foundation treatment, concrete-cored DCM pile is composed of two parts: the inner precast concrete pile and the external DCM pile socket. Load transfer mechanism of concrete-cored DCM pile is studied with in-situ test method and elasto-plastic finite element method. The results show that the upper load is carried by the inner concrete-core, external DCM pile and surrounding soil of pile, while the inner concrete-core is the main. Lateral friction resistance between pile and soil decreases with depth increasing, and the lateral friction resistance between concrete-core and external DCM pile has a shape of “S” with depth increasing. Load-bearing characteristic of concrete-cored DCM pile is similar with rigid pile and different with flexibility pile, and the concrete-cored DCM pile can be regarded as pure friction pile. |
