西太平洋岛弧造山带形成机制的模拟实验

西太平洋一侧的岛弧都被一边缘海将其与大陆隔开,这些边缘海是因弧后扩张形成的。本文的目的在于根据弧后扩张的重力驱动机制,研究岛弧造山带的起源。作者按照相似性理论设计和进行了模型实验,观察到了在海洋岩石层消减和弧后扩张的过程中,原来的大陆边缘被分裂,分裂出来的大陆板片出现隆起、褶皱以致断裂,并且其向海洋一侧的边缘在平面图上呈现出凸向大洋的弧形。这些模型运动现象可用来解释岛弧地区的许多观测事实,因而可作为岛弧造山带成因的一种模式来提出,以供讨论。

MODEL EXPERIMENT ON THE FORMATION MECHANISM OF THE OROQENIC BELT OF ISLAND ARC IN THE WBSTERN PACIFIC

All arcs in Western Pacific are separated from their adjacent continent by marginal seas. These marginal seas were resulted from the backrc spreading. The Purpose of this paper is to study the origin of erogenic belt of island arc on the basis of the gravity driving mechanism of back?arc spreading. According to similarity theory, the authors achieved simulating experiment and found that the original continental margin was torn in pieces, during the process of oceanic lithosphere subducting, and the torn continental plates rose out of the sea or folded up or even fractured, and the ocean-ward side of the torn plates curved toward the ocean. The moving phenomena of. these models can be used to explain many observations in the arc areas, so it can be put forward to discuss as a model about the origin of erogenic belt of island arc.
