| Abstract: | The authors sum up many achievements in the computation of wave forces on small-diameter vertical cylinders using the Morison Equation.The authors expound the subject in the following respects:the drag force coefficient and the inertia force coefficient,regular wave forces and irregular wave forces,the second order wave loads and the linearization of the drag force, forces on arrays of cylinders, other approaches,etc.A systematic introduction to the present studies on this subject is made in this paper. |
