| 摘 要： | 对粤西电白、茂名、吴川一带发现的玻璃陨石(雷公墨),进行了年代和化学成分测定,证明它们和邻近的雷琼地区以至澳亚散布区内其它地区的玻璃陨石一样,是同一地质事件的产物。本文根据雷公墨所在层位,大体确定了若干第四系剖面的时代,为判断吴川-四会断裂带的近期活动提供了依据。

| Abstract: | The age and chemical compositionsof tectites which were discovered in Dianbai, Maoming, Wuchuan counties, West Guangdong Province, were determined. The results indicate that the tectites are similar to those discovered in the adjacent Leizhou Peninsula-Hainan Island region and in the Asia-Australian spreading regions. All of them were produced by the same geological event. Having determined the geological time in several Quaternary profiles in the study area based on the horizons of tectites in profiles combined with the research results in Leizhou Peninsula-Hainan Island area, the authors suggest that the significance of tectites in determing the geological time would be confined to that the sediment overlying or containing tectites belongs to Middle Pleistocene (Q2) or later. Based on these understandings and compared with the Quaternary sediments in the study area, the recent activity of the southern section of Wuchuan-Sihui Fault Zone is proven. |
