| Abstract: | In this paper, various Underwater Vehicles successfully manufactured by JAMSTEC, including Remotely Operated Vehicle(ROV), Human Occupied Vehicle(HOV) and Autonomous Underwater Vehicle(AUV), are introduced, and the role played by these underwater vehicles in deepsea topography, geology, and biological oceanography is mainly described. |
