| Abstract: | This paper summarily reviews the progress and prospect of mantle geochemistry inthe past two decades in studying:(1)The average composition of the whole and/or region-al mantle in the Earth,(2)The relationship betweem mantle heterogeneity and regionaldistribution of deposits in the crust,(3)mantle metasomatism,(4)chemical geodynamics,and(5)physico chemical environment of the upper mantle. |
