河西地区水、土资源的合理开发利用

通过调查计算,评述了河西地区水、土资源状况及开发利用过程中引起的环境变化和存在的主要问题,提出合理开发利用水、土资源的建议和意见:1.以流域为单元进行水、土资源合理利用布局,2.以水定地、搞好水土平衡,3.提高单位面积产量,适当扩大灌溉面积,4.合理利用和改良草场,5.种草种树,保护植被,6.提高水资源利用率。

RATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LAND RESOURECES IN HEXI REGION

1. The Hexi region can be divided, from south to north, into three topographic regions: (1) Qilian-Altun mountain range, (2) Hexi corridor plain, (3) Bei shan and Alxa plateau. There are three inland water systems composed of 57 streams in the region. The total ground-water resource is 74.643 billion m3 in the mountainous areas. The total water resource is 69.960 billion m3 in the Hexi Corridor region. The total land area covers 270 197 km2, of which mountainous areas occupy 115 500 km2. There are 2233 km2 rainfed farmland in the mountainous areas, and 11.125 km2 irrigated farmland in the plain areas. The calcula:ed available quantity of water" and 'usable quantity of net water" in the three inland river basins are 67.845 billion m and 46.169 billion m3 respectively. The irrigated area might be increased by 1.5?.0 million mu (0.10?.13 million ha) in Heihe basin arid Shulehe basin. 2. Several suggestions on rational developoment and utilization of water and land resources in Hexi region are: (1) To Carry out rational land utilization and distribution by taking total basin as a unit; (2) To fix farmland by the balance between available water and land resources; (3) To raise the yield per unit area i?existing farmlands, and to expand irrigated areas, according to available water resources; (4) Rational utilization and improvment of grassland; (5) To plant grasses and trees so as to protect and to improve farmlands and pasture-lands; (6) To increase the utilization rate of all natural resources.
