摘    要:南海北部滨珊瑚生长序列的X光数字图像分析和环境参数的相关分析表明,表层海温是滨珊瑚生长的首要气候因子,表层海温的季节性变化决定着滨珊瑚骨骼密度的季节性变化和年生长层的形成,高密度带形成于夏季而低密度带形成于冬季。年生长带的结构特征分析表明,季风环流控制的表层海流的性质和成分决定着年生长层的结构特征,微生长层的形成可能与潮汐和月光的周期性变化有关。

Abstract:The annual growth band alternatively formed from high and low density bands is the basal characteristic of the growth sequences of coral Porites. The growth sequences of the X-ray digital image analysis and the correlation between the growth parameters and environmental factors of the coral Porites in the northern part of the South China Sea indicate that the sea surface temperature is the main climate factor of the coral Porites growth, the seasonal variations of sea surface temperature determine the seasonal changes of skeleton density and annual growth band formation, consequently the high density band forms in summer and the low forms in winter. The structure characteristic of the annual growth band analysis suggests that the surface current properties control the primary characteristic of the annual band structure, through seawater temperature and composition etc. The periodic correlation between micro-layers within an annual band and lunar moving reveals their possible genetic connection through influencing tide process and light intensity. Abnormally increased density and seasonality, as well as distorted growth layers of coral skeleton in recent years indicate that with the global climate warming, the sea living environmental quality of coral Porites tends to become deteriorated in the northern part of the South China Sea.
