| Abstract: | The related data of GPS networks in the Chinese mainland and its peripheral areas are collected from internet sites in the
paper. And various data fusion methods are presented based on the collected GPS data. Thus the unified horizontal crustal
velocity fields can be established in the Chinese mainland and its peripheral areas. The available data of 423 GPS sites are
applied to the velocity fields and its area gets to 1.2 × 107 km2. By analyzing the velocity fields, the basic spatial distribution feature of the horizontal crustal motion in the Chinese
mainland and its peripheral area can be obtained preliminarily. Meanwhile, the range of the velocity fields in the Chinese
mainland affected by the collision force of India plate to Eurasia plate and the problem of principal direction of the force
from India plate are discussed.
