Abstract: | The theoretical probabilities of wet and dry spells derived from the Markov Chain Model were found to fit very closely the observed probabilities of various sequence lengths at Juba, S Sudan. Monthly variation in the probability values does not seem to follow a secular trend. Anomogram relating observed sequence length frequency of wet and dry spells versus those computed by Markov model is presented. |
