外语在现代社会中发挥着越来越重要的作用,外语教育规划应保持连贯性和系统性,使外语教育既有长期目标,也有短期的可操作性目标.回顾了新中国成立以来我国外语教育的发展,正反两方面的经验说明,外语教育规划应将当前局势需要与教育事业的长期需要协调一致,还应借鉴其它国家的先进经验.

Reflection on China's foreign language education planning

foreign language has been playing a key role in the modern society, which necessitates well-designed, consistent and systematic foreign language policy in education, so that there are long-term goals to pursue and short-term practical goals to accomplish in the field of foreign language education. The review of what happened in 1950's and 1960's seems to convince us of the need for a consistent foreign language education policy in which there is a balance between political needs and educational agenda. Meanwhile, foreign language education policy makers can also draw on the language use situation and language education in the world.
