Finite element analysis of problems with infinitely distant boundaries |

| Abstract: | A method allowing for the presence of infinitely distant boundaries in prismatic bodies is developed. The method is closely related to the consistent boundary concept used in dynamic applications but the development presented is algebraic and context free and is thus applicable to a wide variety of geotechnical problems both static and dynamic. |
