DMC卫星影像及其灾害监测应用

DMC是第一个面向灾害监测的成像小卫星星座。目前由英国、尼日利亚和阿尔及利亚、土耳其各自拥有的一颗中低轨卫星组成,中国拥有的DMC+4卫星即将加入。本文介绍了DMC卫星传感器及其影像特征,并概述了DMC星座2004年3月组网运行以来,DMC影像在全球灾害监测以及对辅助人道救援行动中的应用案例,显示了DMC在灾害监测和资源调查方面的应用前景。

DMC imagery and its application to disaster monitoring

Disaster Monitoring Constellation (DMC) is the firstever microsatellite constellation bringing remarkable Earth observation capabilities to benefit worldwide disaster relief and humanitarian aid efforts. Four satellites from Algeria (ALSAT1), Turkey (BILSAT1), Nigeria (NigeriaSat1) and the UK (UKDMC) have reached the designed orbit and been phased around the orbit to image the surface of the Earth with a 24hour revisit. The fifth DMC satellite, DMC+4 from China will come into the orbit in the mid2005. The concept of DMC and the characteristics of the sensor and imagery are introduced.Several examples of DMC image application to recent humanitarian aid and disaster evaluation are presented, which suggest the great potential of DMC data.
