| Abstract: | A simple and easy method which directly determines the calculation parameters of Stokes fifth order wave. is obtained in this paper, by seeking the relation between given calculation parameters and the wave parameters. It overcomes the difficulty in solving the united equations established by the wave height difinition and the dispersion relation by means of the iterating method. In addition, a series of numerical tests are done. The suitable range of Stokes fifith order wave is suggested in view of the stability of calculation parameters and the precision of the results. |
