Government-based Tourism Mode in Japan and Its Policies as well as Effects

Tourism development modes are mainly composed of two types： market-based mode and government-based mode. Japanese government adopts the latter mode when developing inbound tourism, outbound tourism and domestic tourism. Based on the characteristics of tourism development in different periods, Japanese government has effectively boosted the steady development of tourism by means of legislating, implementing active financial policy as well as necessary revenue adjustment policy, enforcing international tourism cooperation and establishing and actualizing strategies and industry policies which rapidly propel the development of tourism.
