VIETNAMESE AMERICAN PLACE MAKING IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA*

ABSTRACT. Vietnamese Americans have made places for themselves in Northern Virginia by reconfiguring the geography of the suburban places they inherited, including former high-order central-place nodes. Vietnamese American residences, churches, cemetery plots, and other distinctive ethnic markers are by and large dispersed and rarely noticeable. Their retail districts, however, serve them in multiple material and symbolic ways, not unlike suburban Chinatowns.

阐述了农业生态旅游业的概念以及成都近郊农业生态旅游业的发展状况及其特点，综合分析了影响成都近郊农业生态旅游可持续发展的一系列问题，并针对这些问题提出了可持续发展对策。     

The working class, minorities and housing in Paris, the rise of fragmentations

Which places are left to minorities in the housing and labour markets in metropolitan Paris? Over the last two decades, job structures have evolved dramatically, eroding the formerly prominent Paris working-class, shaking the social and political roots of its identity. These indicators would lead one to diagnose a growing fragmentation of metropolitan society. In the political debate, the burning issue of the crisis of suburbs has replaced outdated debate of the class struggle. This paper aims first to re-examine the interactions between social status and national origins, then analyses the housing conditions of different social strata, and finally demonstrates the pre-eminence of social status over national origins in the pattern of residential segregation.     

近40a来西安市区与郊县气温变化特征对比

利用西安市区及郊县国家级一般气象站1971年12月至2011年11月的年、季、年代平均气温作为研究对象,采用一元回归线性拟合、距平分析、变异系数、冷（暖）冬期、突变检验等分析方法,分析总结近40a来市区及郊县的气温变化特征：（1）市区及郊县的逐年平均气温均呈上升趋势,且市区增温速率高于郊县0．27℃／10a;（2）市区逐年极端最高气温基本持平,逐年极端最低气温明显升高;（3）市区及郊县1990年代前升温缓慢,1990年代后升温迅速;（4）市区和郊县的年平均气温升高主要来自春季和冬季升温的贡献;（5）市区及郊县冷冬基本都出现在1980年代中期之前,暖冬均出现在1990年代末以后,且市区冬季气温距平上升率高于郊县;（6）郊县的突变时间早于市区。     

THE NEW CORPORATE LANDSCAPE: AMERICA'S FASTEST GROWING PRIVATE COMPANIES

Analysis of the location of the fastest growing private companies in the United States suggests that a new corporate landscape is emerging. During the 1980s this corporate landscape has increasingly been dominated by companies in the service sector rather than in manufacturing. Sunbelt metropolises, especially in California, are more favored locations for the fast-growth firms than for the traditional Fortune 500 industrial and 500 service corporations. The fast-growth firms are also more likely to locate in suburban areas than the traditional corporations. These service, Sunbelt, and suburban characteristics of the new corporate landscape are interpreted as a consequence of the restructuring of the US economy.

大城市近郊农地流转的时空特征及影响因素

以武汉市蔡甸区为例，结合多源、多时段的村级农地流转数据，采用探索性空间分析和多元线性回归分析方法，揭示大城市近郊农地流转的时空特征及影响因素。研究发现：① 流转规模呈跨越式增长，经历快速增长和短期减速增长两个阶段，流转速度受土地政策影响较大；农地流转的空间分布由随机转向集聚，高高集聚区由主干道沿线转移至以农业为主的平原街镇，低低集聚区由不显著到集中于城镇化水平较高的街镇；② 控制自然、区位、社会经济等因素后，发现流转主体、流转用途对农地流转具有显著影响。建议清楚把握农地流转时空演化特征，合理选择流转主体和流转用途，以优化大城市近郊的人地关系，促进城乡统筹和乡村振兴。     

Mountain Land Use Planning of Metropolitan Suburbs： the Case of the Jinyun Mountain and Its Surrounding area, Chongqing, China

Open space of metropolitan suburbs in mountain region, has been increasingly becoming the coupling mosaic structure of industrial actions and landscape behaviors. However, the local governments, when making land use planning, often aim at economic development, and rarely refer to the coordination of compatibilities and conflicts between industrial actions and landscape behaviors in the mosaic structure. In this study land use in the Jinyun Mountain and its surrounding area, Chongqing is adjusted by gray multi-objective programming approach and local-level decision-making process to cope with conflicts between objectives for human welfare and objectives for landscape conservation. The results indicate that： 1） the compatibilities and conflicts among different behavior characters and different landscape types result in the compatibilities of landscape to human behavior; 2） a land use planning in the study area is produced based on the sustainable land use and social-eco development, which pays more attention to the resources and environment constraints and economic objectives, and follows the distribution law of rare resources; 3） in the study area, cultivated land of 1,207.27 ha can meet the demands for food and byproducts by the residents there, orchard land and forestland of 632.55 ha, 2,276.61 ha, respectively can provide enough spaee for the local people to improve their living structure and meet their demands for reereational activities, and urban residential land, rural residential land, mining land and transportation land of 1107.60 ha, 120.27 ha, 162.48 ha, 100.91 ha, respeetively can satisfy the resident＇s eeonomie development and infrastructures; 4） the equilibrium among industrial actions, landscape accessibility and ecological conservation can be obtained by analyzing the possible impaets of human activities on landscape eeologieal proeess in open spaee of metropolitan suburbs in mountain areas.     

1988 年以来北京郊区城乡一体化进程及启示

北京城郊农业区在不同时期因产业化、城市化的不同而承担着不同的发展目标, 其城乡一体化的进程及空间格局也出现了差异。本文运用历史沿革分析和数理分析方法对城乡一体化的功能结构及空间分布进行了研究, 结果表明:自1988 年以来, 处于近郊至远郊内缘的农业区(23~57 km处)的产业化、城市化分别出现了辐射式→飞地式、等级转移式→团块+扇状式+辐射式的空间发展;不同时期生态、经济、社会功能的组合和实现情况各有侧重, 多功能评价值相应地在“W”、“M”型空间格局之间转变。总体上, 北京郊区农业区的城乡功能及其综合效益都在增强, 但相对而言经济功能的作用在降低, 生态、景观功能在上升, 社会功能存在波动但总体趋强, 城乡功能的空间布局更加复杂, 而且这种发展态势直接影响着北京“十二五”期间多层次、多中心的城乡一体化建设。     

北京郊区乡村旅游季节性特征及其影响因素

京郊地区乡村旅游发展迅速,已成为北京居民重要的休闲旅游目的地。本研究以2008-2010 年京郊乡村地区的旅游统计数据为基础,采用月度指数、快速样本聚类法和基尼指数等指标及方法,分析并测定京郊地区乡村旅游的月度分布特征、旅游季节划分以及旅游季节性强度等季节性特征。基础数据分析结果显示:京郊乡村旅游的季节性特征明显,在全年范围内形成旺季、平季和淡季3 个旅游季节,其中4-5 月、7-8 月和10 月是3 个旅游旺季,11 月到来年1 月是旅游淡季,其余月份为平季。然后,从自然因素(地理条件、气候条件)和社会因素(公共假日、社会关系和节事活动)等2 个主要方面入手,阐释了京郊地区乡村旅游季节性特征的影响因素,指出相对静态(可调节性较弱)的公共假日和相对动态(可调节性较强)的节事活动是京郊地区乡村旅游季节性特征的主要成因。
