2000年1月16日在江苏岸外条子泥沙洲二分水滩脊选取三条断面,进行底质沉积物采样及滩面高程测量。共采集样品27个,对其用激光粒度仪进行粒度分析,发现沉积物的粒度参数、粒度组分及其分布均具有一定的变化规律,且与滩面高程变化具有很好的相关性。  相似文献

A data-driven model has been developed to analyse the long-term evolution of a sandbank system and to make ensemble predictions in a period of 8 years. The method uses a combination of empirical orthogonal function (EOF) analysis, (to define spatial and temporal patterns of variability), jack-knife resampling, (to generate an ensemble of EOFs), a causal auto-regression technique, (to extrapolate the temporal eigenfunctions), and straightforward statistical analysis of the resulting ensemble of predictions to determine a ‘forecast’ and associated uncertainty. The methodology has been applied to a very demanding site which includes a curved shoreline and a group of mobile nearshore sandbanks. The site is on the eastern coast of the UK and includes the Great Yarmouth sandbanks and neighbouring shoreline. A sequence of 33 high quality historical survey charts reaching back to 1848 have been used to analyse the patterns and to predict morphological evolution of the sandbank system. The forecasts demonstrate an improved skill relative to an assumption of persistence, but suffer in locations where there are propagating features in the morphology that are not well-described by EOFs.  相似文献

The role of Coriolis in sandbank formation due to a headland/island system   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Tidal flow past a headland was modelled and the resulting sandbank formation due to bedload transport by eddy systems was examined with particular emphasis on the role of Coriolis. The headland configuration was extended to the more complex case of a headland with a detached island and the role of Coriolis in sandbank formation was again examined. In the headland case, the contribution of Coriolis resulted in the expected change in bed level at the centre of the residual eddies (positive contribution for the cyclonic eddy and negative change for the anticyclonic eddy). In the headland/island case, the role of Coriolis in the resulting bed level change was a function of eddy shedding from the island, defined by the island wake parameter. When eddy shedding occurred, the inclusion of Coriolis had a large magnitude effect on creating flood/ebb sandbank asymmetry. When eddies remained attached to the island, Coriolis had a minor role in the magnitude of this asymmetry.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the use of imaging spectroscopy for the mapping of sediment characteristics on a tidal sandbank in the Westerschelde, called the Molenplaat. On June 8, 2004, during low tide, a HyMap™ scanner recorded the Molenplaat at 4 m pixel resolution. The hyperspectral data were radiometrically calibrated, geometrically corrected, and atmospherically corrected to give apparent surface reflectance data. On the calibrated and corrected dataset a supervised binary classification was performed, based on linear discriminant analysis. Simultaneous to the flight, 25 sediment samples were collected in the field and analysed in the lab to define the median grain size, the water content, the total organic matter content and the chlorophyll-a concentration. These four parameters play a crucial role in sediment stability and macrofaunal habitat definition. Prior to the classification, a feature selection, based on sequential floating forward search (SFFS), was performed. For each of the four parameters two to three bands were retained for the classification. These bands were most frequently selected in the visible and near infrared parts of the spectrum, except for the organic matter content where also SWIR bands were used. The overall classification accuracy was highest for the water content (88%), the median grain size (88%) and the chlorophyll-a concentration (84%). The organic matter content, for which three instead of two classes were distinguished, scored somewhat lower but still reached 80%. The classifications were limited to a small number of classes in order to obtain reliable statistics with a small number of training samples. The spatial patterns in the classified images indicated that the four parameters under study are highly correlated. In most cases coarse sediment coincided with dry conditions, low organic matter and low concentrations of chlorophyll-a. The wet and muddy parts of the Molenplaat were in general characterised by a notably higher amount of organic matter and chlorophyll-a. The individual classification results for the median grain size, the water content and the chlorophyll-a concentration were combined to generate a sediment ecotope map. The presented study illustrates how airborne hyperspectral data can be used to achieve accurate classified maps of intertidal sediment ecotope types, applying feature selection and a binary classification approach.  相似文献

The morphology and internal structure of sand shoals and sandbanks around a coastal headland (Portland Bill, southern UK) are described on the basis of sidescan sonar and high-resolution seismic data sets. Morphological and architectural evidence, combined with the spatial distribution and nature of the bedrock surface, indicates that the evolution of these deposits, especially the sandbanks, may not only be hydrodynamically controlled but also morphologically controlled. The internal structure of the sand shoals reveals a simple pattern of clinoforms dipping in the same direction as their steeper profile. In contrast, the internal structure of the sandbanks reveals that their lower seismic units consist of a sedimentary core interpreted as the remains of a lowstand deposit or an early stage of the bank development under different prevailing hydrodynamic conditions. The present morphology of the sandbanks is represented by upper seismic units characterized by large-scale sandwave foresets dipping at 6–8°. The nature and morphology of the bedrock surface may also influence the development of sandbanks in some cases. For example, to the west of Portland Bill, the morphology of the bedrock surface (basal reflector) restricts the development of the Portland Bank. This information may explain the asymmetric evolution of sandbanks around Portland Bill.  相似文献

为了解世界自然遗产地生态修复的“中国样本”和“鸟类保护的国际地标” ——江苏东台条子泥“720”高潮位候鸟栖息地的生态环境质量,本研究采用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱法和原子荧光光谱法测定了高潮位候鸟栖息地5个样点及与之毗邻的堤外潮间带4个样点表层沉积物中8种常见重金属元素(Hg、Cd、Cr、As、Pb、Cu、Ni和Zn)的含量,基于地累积指数法和潜在生态风险指数法对两个区域表层沉积物中重金属含量特征和生态风险进行了比较研究。结果表明,候鸟栖息地和堤外潮间带表层沉积物中8种重金属的平均含量均未超过国家海洋沉积物质量一类标准,两个区域表层沉积物的重金属含量具有显著的差异(P<0.05),候鸟栖息地沉积物各重金属平均含量均高于堤外区,两个区域潜在生态风险指数也具有显著差异,候鸟栖息地沉积物重金属潜在生态风险大于堤外区,可能与栖息地建设前的水产养殖活动、候鸟栖息活动、周边农业活动和水动力条件有关;两个区域各采样点的重金属地累积指数均小于0,无明显重金属累积风险;两个区域综合潜在生态风险指数均小于150.00,各采样点单项潜在生态风险指数均小于40.00,均属于低潜在生态风险等级。通过研究区与其他滨海自然湿地中重金属特征对比研究发现,本研究区域中的主要生态风险因子是Hg,其次是Cd,后续需要更多的关注。  相似文献

滨海湿地是具有特殊水文、土壤及生物特征的生态系统,蟹类作为其重要生物组成部分,在维护滨海湿地生态系统生物多样性方面具有重要意义。基于2022年6月野外调查数据,结合各环境因子的相关性分析与冗余分析结果,同时构建偏最小二乘结构方程模型,探究蟹类数量分布与关键生境因子之间的关系。结果表明,研究区内的蟹类共有5种,属沙蟹科(Ocypodidae)和方蟹科(Grapsidae),广泛分布于海堤向海一面的潮滩上,数量由陆向海总体减少,双齿近相手蟹(Sesarma bidens)是研究区蟹类的优势种。不同种蟹类生境偏好有所不同,双齿近相手蟹和天津厚蟹(Helice tientsinensis)偏好互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)盐沼,弧边招潮蟹(Uca arcuata)偏好互花米草和碱蓬(Suaeda salsa)混合生境,伍氏拟厚蟹(Helice wuana)偏好碱蓬盐沼,日本大眼蟹(Macrophthalmus japonicus)偏好光滩生境。相关性分析和冗余分析结果表明蟹类数量与植物地上生物量、植被覆盖度、相对高程呈现显著正相关性,与淹水时长呈现显著负相关性。偏最小二...  相似文献

Using geographic information system (GIS) and field measurements the nearshore morphological variability of a headland bay beach at Tenby, West Wales (51·66 N; –4·71 W) was assessed over historical timeframes (1748–2007). Three areas chosen for detailed analysis were the area between mean low water (MLW) and lowest astronomical tide (LAT) contours; LAT and one fathom contours; and one and two fathom contours. Estuary closure c. 1855 has been suggested as the genesis for long‐term beach evolution and did have an initial effect, with northward dune migration and reduced flushing effects. However, this research suggests nearshore bank migration and retrogradation associated with spit collapse took place prior to closure and continued throughout the assessed timeframe. Historical data revealed patterns of shoreward migration demonstrated by changes in orientation, Giltar headland acting as a pivot. Variations in sandbank position correlated with areal reduction of both Giltar spit and White Bank. Temporal offshore areal loss was contrasted against variable gains inshore as offshore banks welded to the beachface. Annual volumetric change analyses represented by profiles that extend 1 km offshore, confirmed Giltar spit and White Bank erosion rates of 91 m3 yr–1 and 458 m3 yr–1 respectively, and 220 m3 yr–1 beachface accretion. Diminution of sediment supply observed over historical timescales was supported by decadal evidence. Here, profile analysis revealed a trend of decreasing volumes both updrift and within the study area, and increasing downdrift volumes. This explained why proximal detachment and sediment redistribution had occurred. Distinct reversal's in shoreline trend (rotation) corresponded to nearshore change; therefore, variations in seabed configuration triggered shoreface dynamic change over century timescales. Five‐year cumulative average changes in North Atlantic Oscillation were further correlated to this reversal. As comparable scenarios are likely to exist at other worldwide coastal locations, similar analyses should be incorporated into shoreline monitoring programmes. 在江苏条子泥岸滩选择3个典型剖面,对其进行了3a定期的观测,将所得剖面数据绘制成剖面形态曲线。通过对岸滩剖面形态的分析,发现3a来岸滩冲淤变化明显,岸滩剖面形态内部及其相互间都有变化,呈现不同的类型。探讨了其变化的机制,包括自然因素和人为因素。主要的研究结果将丰富人们对江苏条子泥近期岸滩及辐射沙洲演变的认识,为条子泥促淤并陆和海岸防护等工程提供科学依据。  相似文献
