《中国三千年气象记录总集》谱中华文明之新篇——国家气候中心张德二访谈

与张德二先生相识、相知已有很长时间了。1980年代后期，我在中国气象科学研究院参加工作不久，几次到那时还在气科院气候所张先生位于三楼的办公室造访，留下的深印象就是她不大的办公室被几乎到屋顶高的卡片柜和档案资料堆满，只给自己留出细窄的过道以便于翻找资料。这样的场景使我第一次对气象学家从历史档案中研究气候演变规律有了切身的体会。随后近20年过去，虽然我们先后离开气科院，但由于我们共同属于九三学社中国气象局支社，也偶与她的研究生研讨一些气候变化方面的问题而有了更多的接触，

The journal columns include Articles, Note and Correspondence, and research letters. Contributions from M1 over the world are welcome.

气象大师的范例——记美国气象学家查尼

最近,在全球大气科学界隆重纪念数值天气预报成功和业务应用50年的时候,回首半个世纪我们走过的路,在20世纪中叶,在欧美发展数值天气预报的第一代先驱中间,一位后起之秀的名字——查尼令人难以忘怀。他杰出的贡献和优雅的风度,总能让人想起“天气预报是一门艺术”的说法。     

中国科学院院士—李崇银

李崇银,中国科学院院士,著名气象学家,中共党员,1940年出生于四川。1963年毕业于中国科学技术大学应用地球物理系,其后分配到中国科学院大气物理研究所（原为地球物理研究所二室）从事大气科学研究工作。1980-1981年在美国伊利诺依（Illinois）大学大气科学系进行合作研究一年多,

今年3月23日是世界气象组织成立60周年纪念日。19世纪中,由于航海的需要,一些欧洲的气象学家就想利用已经发明的无线电报来传递气象资料,以便制作天气图,并据此来进行天气预报。

统计气候学的奠基人

么枕生教授是我国老一辈气象学家，著名气候学家及统计气候学的奠基人。在他近70年的教学和科研生涯中，曾涉足气候学的各个领域，他很早就力主气候学要以动力学和统计学为工具沿着数值化方向发展，事实证明其论断的正确性。他尤其辛勤致力于统计气候学研究，并将统计学理论与气候学相结合，为我国的统计气候学事业奠定了坚实的基础。么枕生教授是我国气候学本科专业的首创者，自1952年任教于南京大学气象系以来，一直主持气候学原理和统计气候学的教学和科学研究。
