Irrigated agriculture and place‐making in the East Kimberley

This paper explores the way in which lived experiences of farmers in the Ord Valley have intersected with representations of the Ord Valley over time. I contrast the development of Stage 1 of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme in the 1960s with a proposal put forward in the late 1990s for greatly expanding the area of irrigated agriculture as Stage 2 of the scheme. I examine the rhetoric employed in planning documents and public media coverage of the first and proposed second stages of the Ord Irrigation Scheme and explore its connections with social identifications of farmers in the Ord Valley since the 1960s. I then argue the value of this approach for understanding the dynamic relationship between the spatial practices and social identifications of farmers and representations of place and land use in public media and planning processes.     

CHANNING COPE AND THE MAKING OF A MIRACLE VINE*

ABSTRACT. The history of kudzu illustrates the fluidity with which people can redefine their cultural relationship with exotic species. Although much of American society views the fast‐growing Asian vine as a pest, this has not always been the case. During the first half of the twentieth century, individual entrepreneurs and government officials touted kudzu as a “miracle vine” and carried out massive planting campaigns across the southeastern United States. This study traces the changing place of kudzu within southern society from its introduction in the late 1800s to the present. Specific attention is devoted to the role that the gentleman farmer, author, and radio personality Channing Cope played in popularizing the cultivation of kudzu. Cope's promotional activities are interpreted as environmental claims making. Analysis focuses on the metaphors he used in persuading the public of kudzu's supposed benefits. Conducting such an examination advances our general understanding of the historical geography of exotics in America and the importance of human agency and cultural representation in the spread of non‐native organisms.     

标准加入原子吸收光谱法测定造币液中微量铁

用标准加入火焰原子吸收法测定造币液中微量铁,极高含量的镍的化学干扰的影响被消除,利用塞曼效应扣背景,镍等基体的背景影响亦被扣除。镍量在50g/L以下时,11mg/L以下铁的标准曲线具有良好的线性,且都经过坐标原点。方法检出限(3S)为0.14mg/L,最大加标量为6mg/L时,测定范围为0.28-5mg/L。样品分析的加标曲线的相关系数为0.99956～0.99994,相对标准偏差为0.94～2.23％,方法准确可靠。

一种土地使用模糊空间决策方法

基于空间土地信息 ,提出了一种用地负荷预测的模糊空间决策方案 ,建立了土地利用模糊空间规则和隶属函数 ,并考虑决策的多因素影响 ,采用了多目标决策方法用于土地规划 ,并给出了土地利用决策的实际案例和计算结果 ,表明方法的有效性     

基准地价评估中电子专题地图制作技术探析

原国家土地管理局分别于1989年和1993年颁布了《城镇土地定级规程》和《城镇土地估价规程》，时至今日，基准地价的评估技术与方法已经日臻完善，文章阐明了电子专题地图的制作在基准地价评估中的作用，并以土地定级为主，详细论述了基准地价专题地图的基本属性及实现机制，作者认为基准地价电子地图具有统计分析功能，当用户提出要求时（如询问地价在某范围的样点），系统即可自动地从地图数据库中检索出符合条件的样点，并在地图上高亮显示，还可根据多年地价样点的分布变化情况比较分析地价走势，预测未来地价发展情况，揭示其地理，经济规律性。     

Narratives of Safety on Social Media: The Case of #mysafetyselfie

This article draws on the case of #mysafetyselfie as an example of how social media can be used to highlight the social and spatial factors affecting women's experience with safety. In particular, I consider the ways in which media technology mediates embodied practice through an examination of the selfie as a form of relational place making. In the first section, I situate #mysafetyselfie as a node along a continuum of sociospatial work by Jay Pitter—the project's initiator—stemming from her personal and professional engagement with safety. I then draw from mobile interface theory to argue for the selfie as a practice of embodied implacement, which situates experience as contextually informed. In the next section, I conduct a close reading of three safety selfies from the project, in which safety is framed by the subject in intelligent and creative ways. I conclude by reflecting on the outcomes of #mysafetyselfie and the ethical responsibility of curating stories both offline and online.     

A decision support system using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for the optimal environmental reclamation of an open-pit mine

The selection of an optimal reclamation method is one of the most important factors in open-pit design and production planning. It also affects economic considerations in open-pit design as a function of plan location and depth. Furthermore, the selection is a complex multi-person, multi-criteria decision problem. The group decision-making process can be improved by applying a systematic and logical approach to assess the priorities based on the inputs of several specialists from different functional areas within the mine company. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) can be very useful in involving several decision makers with different conflicting objectives to arrive at a consensus decision. In this paper, the selection of an optimal reclamation method using an AHP-based model was evaluated for coal production in an open-pit coal mine located at Seyitomer region in Turkey. The use of the proposed model indicates that it can be applied to improve the group decision making in selecting a reclamation method that satisfies optimal specifications. Also, it is found that the decision process is systematic and using the proposed model can reduce the time taken to select a optimal method.     

统计分析模型管理工具实现及其在空间辅助决策系统中的应用

本文分析了统计分析模型在空间辅助决策系统应用中存在的问题,以统计学知识为基础,借鉴软件发展的新技术,提出了统计分析模型管理工具实现策略,着重论述了如何实现统计分析模型管理工具、模型的存储方法以及应用接口,并给出了该工具的应用实例。该工具能够动态管理各种统计分析模型、管理统计数据以及统计分析结果显示表达等功能,在应用方面提供了工具型与服务型的两类应用接口,可以满足不同应用层次的用户需求,使统计分析模型可以更加方便的应用到空间辅助决策系统中。
