A note on the seafloor coupling characteristics of the new ONR ocean-bottom seismometer

A series of transient tests were conducted to determine the seafloor coupling characteristics of a new ocean-bottom seismometer (OBS) developed for the United States Office of Naval Research (ONR). The OBS comprises a large recording package and a separate sensor package that is deployed from the recording package. In addition to the coupling characteristics of both the sensor and the recording packages, the seismic energy radiated from the main recording package as a result of motion of the recording package was measured. The observed vertical coupling resonances of both the recording package and the sensor package are in good agreement with those predicted by a simple model of soil-structure interaction. The most important result of this study is that significant energy is radiated from the recording package in response to horizontal motions of the recording package. When the sensor package is 1 m from the recording package, the amplitude of the recorded signal is similar to that recorded in the recording package. In the field, this effect will result in distortion of seismic signals and increased background noise recorded by the sensor package if the recording package is disturbed by seafloor currents or biological activity. The amplitude of this signal attenuates by approximately a factor of two as sensor/recorder separation is increased from 1 to 6 m, suggesting that an improved response can be achieved by increasing the separation between the recording package and the sensors. This effect is much less severe for vertical disturbances of the recording package.

不同卵密度对太平洋牡蛎三倍体诱导效果影响的研究

本实验主要研究用70mg／L浓度的6－MDAP（二甲基氨基嘌呤）对太平洋牡蛎的受精卵进行三倍体诱导，研究受精卵的密度对诱导效果的影响，以及诱导后受精卵的孵化率和畸形率。实验结果表明：当受精卵的密度为4万个／ml时三倍体率最高，相应的孵化率最高，综合来看，4万/ml的卵密度是生产上较好的受精卵处理密度。     

On the instability of “folded” equilibria of a flexible nonstretchable thread attached to the satellite in a circular orbit

The author considers a problem of Lyapunov's stability of relative equilibria of a flexible nonstretchable thread attached to the satellite moving in a circular Keplerian orbit in the first approximation. When it is in the position of relative equilibrium, the thread is known to be situated either along the radius vector of the orbit (the radial equilibrium) or along the circular orbit (the tangential equilibrium) and in each case the thread can be in a folded state. The author shows that folded radial equilibria of the thread are always unstable while tangential ones are unstable if the thread is sufficiently short in comparison with the radius of the orbit. The generalized Chetaev functional has been constructed to prove the instability.     

Origin of short period comets

Reasons for interest in the origin of short-period comets and the difficulties of computing their long-term dynamcal evolution are reviewed. The relative advantages of a source region in an extended inner core of the Oort cloud or a compact comet belt just beyond the planetary system are finely balanced, and it is premature to consider the problem solved. A complication is that some comets belonging to the Jupiter family may be part of a time-dependent system, possibly the remains of a giant comet such as Chiron which could have been part of the system 104 yr ago. The origin of short-period comets plays a pivotal role in many areas of solar system science: planet formation, the source of water (possibly life) on the terrestrial planets, the cratering record on the terrestrial planets and satellites of the outer planets, and the environmental impact posed by massive bodies and their decay products in the Earth's near-space environment.     

数字水准仪标尺编码原理研究

数字水准仪的标尺编码规则直接影响其测量精度.基于现有几种数字水准仪标尺编码的特点,归纳出标尺条码的编码衡量指标:信息密度、分辨率和纠错能力.以条码的最大编码容量与单个码区长度之比值衡量其承载的信息密度;利用光学系统的点扩散函数研究条码图像的分辨率,即相邻边缘的相互影响,得出码元相邻边缘的间距相等时,影响最小的结论;用相关系数或编码所用函数本身的性质表征条码的纠错能力.依据编码指标建立一套新的标尺编码规则:以格雷码为数值码,固定宽度的码元为参考码,两者交替组合.分析表明,该种编码不但信息密度大,分辨率高,而且纠错能力强.     

利用雷电定位系统进行电网雷击故障快速查询(英文)

At present, lightning is one of the 10 natural disasters, and it is also the top environmental factor of power interruption. It often causes huge losses to the electric system. The Wuhan High Voltage Institute of the State Grid Corporation of China and Huazhong University of Science and Technology have been researching and developing lightning location systems （LLSs） since the late 1980s. In the mid-1990s, a lightning detection network was created in 29 provinces and cities in China. It is primarily applied to rapidly find lightning accidents, which greatly reduces power interruption. Also, it ensures high efficiency and safe operation of the electricity system. Remarkable benefit is achieved. China＇s LLS went through an ＂orientation positioning - time difference positioning - integrated positioning＂ development process. The positioning precision, detection efficiency, degree of automation, practicability and applied range are improved. Also, a lightning information system plan of the national network has been implemented, which services the whole society.     

贵阳地表水—地下水的硫和氯同位素组成特征及其污染物示踪意义

喀斯特地表水和地下水的交换活跃,地下水系统容易受到地表污染物的污染。为了解喀斯特城市地表水—地下水系统污染特征和污染物质来源,对贵阳市地表水、地下水、雨水和城市排污污水的硫同位素和氯同位素组成变化进行了研究。贵阳市不同类型水体的δ³⁷Cl值在-4.07‰～+2.03‰之间变化,δ34SSO4值变化为-20.4‰～+20.9‰。大气输入物质和城市排污污水的δ³⁷Cl、δ³⁴S及Cl^-/SO₄^2-比值与地表水和地下水的不同,稳定硫和氯同位素的结合研究为示踪地下水污染物来源提供了有效研究手段。贵阳市地下水中的Cl^-和SO^₄2-至少有4种来源,人为活动通过城市排污和大气输入向地下水系统大量输入了硫酸盐和氯离子。      

平面约束条件在LIDAR点云滤波中的应用

介绍了一种利用平面约束条件对LIDAR点云数据进行滤波的方法,利用每个数据点的邻域点拟合平面,根据平面约束条件和平面点分类方法得到地面点,最后利用地面点内插该区域的DTM.
