The recently developed SWATDRAIN model was employed to assess the impact of controlled drainage on the water table dynamics, subsurface drainage, and surface runoff in an agricultural watershed in Ontario, Canada. Controlled drainage was defined with a depth of 1.0 m to restrict flow at the drain outlet to maintain the water table at 0.5 m below the surface level during the winter (November–April) and at 0.6 m during the summer (June–August) months. The effects of the absence, or implementation, of drainage water management were predicted for the 3-year period of 1991–1993. Implementing controlled drainage resulted in a 16 % reduction in the mean annual drain flow, while increasing surface runoff by as much as 71 %. This indicates that overall watershed hydrology could be significantly impacted by the implementation of controlled drainage. This research demonstrates the SWATDRAIN model’s ability to predict the controlled drainage in small agricultural watersheds. 相似文献

Harmonic wavelets are introduced within the framework of the Sobolev-like Hilbert space H of potentials with square-integrable restrictions to the Earth's (mean) sphere
R
. Basic tool is the construction of H-product kernels in terms of an (outer harmonics) orthonormal basis in H. Scaling function and wavelet are defined by means of so-called H-product kernels. Harmonic wavelets are shown to be building blocks that decorrelate geopotential data. A pyramid scheme enables fast computations. Multiscale signal-to-noise thresholding provides suitable denoising. Multiscale modelling of the Earth's anomalous potential from EGM96-model data is illustrated by use of bandlimited harmonic wavelets, i.e. Shannon and CP-wavelets. 相似文献

In Sahel-Doukkala, which is characterized by lands of a relatively low relief, global DEMs and DEMs generated from digitizing topographic maps, have been the primary source of several multidisciplinary researches. Although these products present a great value of the conducted research, the level of the given accuracy is not sufficient enough for detailed geospatial analysis. These requirements led us to generate a high-resolution DEM as an alternative of available global DEMs or/and DEMs generated from digitizing topographic maps. In this study, we present a workflow to extract high-resolution DEM at 5 m resolution and derived orthoimages from ALOS-PRISM data over Sahel-Doukkala, through photogrammetric techniques, using a variation of GCPs obtained from topographic maps at scale 1:25,000. The accuracy of the generated products is reported according to NSSDA standards. Using ten GCPs, a PRISM-DEM with 3.88 m vertical accuracy and 11.60 m horizontal accuracy, both at 95% confidence level is obtained. This DEM will serve as base dataset for further detailed geospatial analysis and mapping applications in order to identify the relationship between surface parameters and groundwater, and also to assess and understand all factors influencing the development of karst landscapes and consequently subsurface stability in the investigated area. 相似文献

Automated approaches to building detection in multi-source aerial data are important in many applications, including map updating, city modeling, urban growth analysis and monitoring of informal settlements. This paper presents a comparative analysis of different methods for automated building detection in aerial images and laser data at different spatial resolutions. Five methods are tested in two study areas using features extracted at both pixel level and object level, but with the strong prerequisite of using the same training set for all methods. The evaluation of the methods is based on error measures obtained by superimposing the results on a manually generated reference map of each area. The results in both study areas show a better performance of the Dempster-Shafer and the AdaBoost methods, although these two methods also yield a number of unclassified pixels. The method of thresholding a normalized DSM performs well in terms of the detection rate and reliability in the less vegetated Mannheim study area, but also yields a high rate of false positive errors. The Bayesian methods perform better in the Memmingen study area where buildings have more or less the same heights. 相似文献
