采用经验模式分解技术研究了从第12到第24太阳活动周黑子面积数据中的Rieger-type周期,以及它们在南北半球上的相位关系。研究发现:(1)Rieger-type周期尺度以及时间尺度在两个半球上是不一样的,从而导致了半球分布的不对称性;(2)平均Rieger-type周期在北半球上的周期长度略大于南半球上的;(3)占主导地位半球的Rieger-type周期的相位不一定是超前的,半球Rieger-type周期尺度相近的也并不一定是相关性强的。  相似文献

利用云南天文台太阳黑子观测资料,对太阳活动第19 周至第22 周日面高纬度( 高于40°) 的黑子群进行了统计.结果表明:高纬黑子面积绝大部分小于100 ,平均56 ,寿命大部分为1 ~3 天,平均4 天;黑子分类绝大部分为AXX、HSX、BXO,其中AXX 约占总数的一半.高纬黑子在日面南北半球上的不对称分布可用来预报该太阳周内的太阳活动在南北半球上的主次.由此预报23 周太阳活动将在南半球更活跃  相似文献

运用统计方法系统研究了1978-2002年太阳光球磁通量南北不对称性变化特征,发现其与太阳活动周有关.不对称值在太阳活动极小年要明显高于太阳活动极大年,并且磁通量变化总是由上升段的北半球占优逐渐过渡到下降段的南半球占优.另外运用小波变换方法详细讨论了这种不对称性变化可能存在的周期信息.  相似文献

黑子相对数与黑子群在日面纬度上分布的蝴蝶图表征着太阳长期活动演化的特征 ,本文主要对这二者尤其是后者进行了研究。太阳活动在日面上分布表现为不对称 ,这是近 30年太阳物理研究的主要内容之一。本文对这一领域进行了详细调研 ,发现太阳活动的南北半球分布不对称性的确存在 ,是否存在东西半球分布不对称性目前还没有定论 ,但在日面经度上的分布肯定是不均匀的。本文还利用太阳 2 2周活动极大时期X射线 (Imp≥M1 .0 )耀斑事件进行了统计分析 ,给出了不对称演化特征 ,发现不对称性并不是事件活动剧烈程度的函数。统计分析表现 2 1周太阳活动既不是已往文献中所述的南半球占优 ,也不是北半球占优。本文总结了以往对太阳长期活动特征研究的结论 ,也分析了黑子面积描述的活动周特征 ,发现可用一个二参数函数来描述太阳活动周 ,这个结论对太阳长期活动预报是有用的。本文还详细解剖了蝴蝶图 ,揭示了其所含的物理信息 ,同时将不对称研究引入到这种解剖工作中 ,或是定量再现已有的一些定律 ,一些效应 ,或是揭示一些新的长期活动特征。本文最后对太阳长期活动预报方法和预报结论进行了总结 ,2 1~ 2 3周的预报事例说明前兆因子方法比其它方法要好。本文用Moscow中子监测值对 2 3周作了预报 ,其峰值为 1 51 .1  相似文献

利用GOES和SDO卫星监测的太阳软X射线耀斑的数据,发现在21~24太阳活动周期间,第1个X级耀斑与第1个高纬黑子都出现在同一半球。与高纬黑子表征的太阳活动南北半球的不对称性一样,一个太阳活动周第1个X级耀斑的出现,很可能预示着首先出现X级耀斑的半球,其太阳活动将比另一半球更剧烈。  相似文献

太阳活动周的半球耦合现象早在20世纪中叶就被发现,是太阳长期时空演化中最常见的现象之一,但其观测特征和形成机制仍未彻底理清。由这一现象驱动的太阳发电机理论模型,有助于研究太阳活动周随着时间和空间演化的基本信息,也对太阳活动和空间天气的中短期预报有重要价值。首先回顾了太阳活动周半球耦合现象的发现和观测历史;接着综述了不同时空尺度磁活动半球耦合现象的基本观测统计结果,以及国内外对半球耦合理论的研究成果;最后讨论了这一重要领域尚未解决的重要问题和发展趋势。  相似文献

通过对12-22周((1878-1995年)太阳大黑子群分布南北半球不对称的整体特征的研究,探讨了太阳活动周的长期演化趋势.约定N与S分别表示北南半球大黑子群数之和,BN与BS为北南半球大黑子群的纬度和.由这4个物理量定义了太阳活动周的3个参量:(1)太阳活动不对称指数AS=(N-S)/(N+S);(2)平均纬度BT=(BN+BS)/(N+S),BS取负值;(3)太阳活动带的宽度BW=BN/N-BS/S.对上述11个活动周,得到了有关80年周期的性质及奇偶数周大黑子群数变化的有意义的统计结果.  相似文献

太阳剩余磁场是指形成于太阳主序星阶段之前,深藏在太阳辐射核内部的原始磁场。由于太阳内部高电导率和准静态等因素,其剩余磁场耗散相当缓慢,而得以保留至今。太阳剩余磁场的存在不仅能够解释太阳活动的很多不对称性现象,如南北不对称性、活动经度与活动穴、低纬度冕洞和Maunder极小期等,还能通过改变自激发发电机模型的边值条件而影响整个太阳表面磁场的分布与演化。从观测结果和理论模型两方面评述了太阳剩余磁场的研究成果及最新进展,并简单讨论了进一步努力的方向。  相似文献

The paper presents the results of a study of the distribution and asymmetry of solar active prominences (SAP) for the period 1957–1998 (solar cycles 19–23). The east-west (E-W) distribution study shows that the frequency of SAP events in the 81–90° slice (in longitude) near the east and west limbs is up to 10 times greater than in the 1–10° slice near the central meridian of the Sun. The north-south (N-S) latitudinal distribution shows that the SAP events are most prolific in the 11–20° slice in the northern and southern hemispheres. Further, the E-W asymmetry of SAP events is not significant. The N-S asymmetry of SAP events is significant and it has no relation with the solar maximum year or solar minimum year during solar cycles. Further, the present study also shows that the N-S asymmetry for cycles 19–23 follows and confirms the trend of N-S asymmetry cycles as reported by Verma (1992).  相似文献

Distribution of latitudes and speeds of Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) in the northern and southern hemispheres in cycle 23, from September 1996 to December 2006, have been analyzed. By calculating the actual probability of the hemispheric distribution of the activity of the CME, we find that a southern dominance of the activity of the CME is shown to occur in cycle 23 from September 1996 to December 2006. The CME activity occurs at all latitudes and is most common at low latitudes. This should furnish evidence to support that CMEs are associated with source magnetic structures on a large spatial scale, even with transequatorial source magnetic structures on a large spatial scale. The latitudinal distribution of CMEs in the northern and southern hemispheres are no different from a statistical point of view. The speed distribution in the northern and southern hemispheres are nearly identical and to a good approximation they can be fitted with a single lognormal distribution. This finding implies that, statistically, there is no physical distinction between the CME events in the southern and northern hemispheres and the same mechanism of a nonlinear nature acting in both the CME events in the northern and southern hemispheres. Our conclusions seem to suggest that the northern-southern asymmetry of the CME events is related to the northern-southern asymmetry in solar dynamo theory (Jiang et al. 2007).  相似文献

In this paper, the monthly counts of flare index in the northern and southern hemispheres are used to investigate the hemispheric variation of the flare index in each of solar cycles 20–23. It is found that, (1) the flare index is asymmetrically distributed in each solar cycle and its asymmetry is a real phenomenon; (2) the flare index in the northern hemisphere begins earlier than that in the southern hemisphere in each of solar cycles 20–23, and the phase shifts between the two hemispheres show an odd‐even pattern; (3) although the flare index dominating in a hemisphere does not mean that it leads in phase in this hemisphere in individual solar cycle, these two features have an intrinsic relationship. The flares associated with reported type II bursts from 1964–1973 (hereafter abbreviated source-flares) are analyzed with respect to their importance, duration, and heliographic distribution. The source-flares for type II bursts generally are normal to small in area and normal to brilliant in intensity; however, they have slightly longer durations than would be expected from flares with such small areas. Flares associated with type II bursts are distributed uniformly east and west of the central meridian. This implies that type II bursts cannot be narrow-beamed, radially-propagating radio emitters. The latitude of the occurrence of source-flares shows a drift with time that is not significantly different from that of sunspots. The drift rate is a maximum during the period of maximum solar activity. The heliographic distribution of source-flares shows large-scale organization into similarly shaped regions (source-regions) separated by 180° of longitude in each polar hemisphere. The shape of the source-regions differs between the northern and the southern hemispheres. The source-regions exhibit growth and motion characteristics which suggest that their development is due partly to the effects of differential rotation. An analysis of the plage regions which are associated with source-flares shows that relatively few plages ever produce type II bursts, yet certain plages produce type II bursts repeatedly. One active region produced type II bursts on six consecutive disc passages. Since the source-regions for type II bursts are large-scale, persistent solar features that show motion and development related to the solar cycle, an evaluation of the distinctive fluid motion characteristics of these regions appears to be an important step in the determination of specific environmental configurations which can produce solar shock waves.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the spatial distribution of solar flares in the northern and southern hemispheres of the Sun that occurred during the period 1996 to 2003. This period of investigation includes the ascending phase, the maximum and part of the descending phase of solar cycle 23. It is revealed that the flare activity during this cycle is low compared to the previous solar cycle, indicating the violation of Gnevyshev-Ohl rule. The distribution of flares with respect to heliographic latitudes shows a significant asymmetry between northern and southern hemisphere which is maximum during the minimum phase of the solar cycle. The present study indicates that the activity dominates the northern hemisphere in general during the rising phase of the cycle (1997–2000). The dominance of northern hemisphere shifted towards the southern hemisphere after the solar maximum in 2000 and remained there in the successive years. Although the annual variations in the asymmetry time series during cycle 23 are quite different from cycle 22, they are comparable to cycle 21.  相似文献

The Solar Magnetism and Activity Telescope (SMAT) has been operational at Huairou Solar Observing Station since the end of 2005. Its scientific projects are the observational study of full-disc vector magnetic field and Hα chromospheric activities. In this paper, the Fourier low-frequency passing filter and the large-scale polynomials fit methods have been employed to analyse and remove the non-uniform pattern (NUP) in the full-disc Stokes V image. These methods are useful to effectively improve the quality of SMAT's data. The following main results have been obtained. (1) An intrinsic large-scale spatial distribution of NUP appears in SMAT's full-disc Stokes V image and its average amplitude accounts for 2 per cent of sunspots' field of kG. (2) NUP is testified as instrumental polarization through data reduction and observational explanation (passband shift). There are pseudo-passband shift in the wide field of view of SMAT due to NUP, and the maximum shifting value from the solar disc centre to the solar disc limb is 0.12 Å. (3) As an example, after removing SMAT's NUP in the Stokes V image, the correlation coefficients of the magnetograms become 78 per cent between SMAT and MDI (Michelson Doppler Imager project) on the SOHO ( Solar and Heliospheric Observatory ) satellite, and 92 per cent between SMAT and the SMFT (Solar Magnetic Field Telescope) at Huairou.  相似文献

A statistical analysis of the type-III bursts observed by the spectrographs in the ranges of 625∼1500 MHz, 2600-3800 MHz, and 5200-7600 MHz during the 23rd solar cycle (from 2000 July to 2004 September) is carried out. The distribution of the type-III bursts, and their durations, frequency drift rates, polarization degrees and frequency bandwidths are given in this paper. The results indicate that the average values of the frequency drift rates and frequency bandwidths increase with the frequency. The average values of the durations and polarization degrees are neither constant nor uniformly varied over a broad frequency range. Most of type-III bursts are distributed in the range from 625 to 3800 MHz, and decrease with the frequency in number. This analysis shows that the places of electron acceleration and energy release are mainly in the decimetric range, and the characteristic of this frequency range is possibly related with the magnetic configuration at the decimeter wavelengths, as well as the electron acceleration in the magnetic reconnection site close to the main flare. However, there are also a considerable number of type-III bursts in the range of 5200-7600 MHz, it means that the sites of electron acceleration are widely distributed in the coronal region. The radiation mechanisms of type-III bursts at the centimeter-decimeter wavelengths include most probably the coherent plasma radiation and the emission process of electron cyclotron maser.  相似文献

本文研究了1971—1980年间发生在日面东部的164个和西部的132个2级以上耀斑对我国185个气象站上空雷暴活动的影响.结果表明,日面东部耀斑爆发后雷暴活动减弱且通过优于0.1的置信度检验测站数远多于日面西部耀斑,而日面西部耀斑爆发后雷暴活动增强,通过优于0.1的置信度检验测站数远多于日面东部耀斑.这种与地磁活动和日球扰动相似的雷暴活动对太阳耀斑响应的东西不对称性,可能借助于大气电环境并通过行星际磁场和磁层,将太阳和对流层的确耦合起来了.  相似文献
