Virescentia guangxiensis,a new species of Virescentia from Guangxi,South China,is described and illustrated based on morphological observations and phylogenetic analysis.This species was distinguished morphologically from other species by the presence of special expansion cells with a variable shape,obovoid,spherical,pear-shaped,located in the penultimate cells of primary or secondary fascicles,rarely terminal on primary fascicles,as well as by small whorls(250-350-μm wide) and short primary fascicles(5-7 cell stories).Phylogenetic analysis of molecular data from the rbcL and COI-5 P loci supported the separation of the proposed new species from other species in the genus Virescentia.This is the first species of the order Batrachospermales reported in Guangxi and the second species of the genus Virescentia reported in China.This study expands the known species diversity and geographical distribution of fre shwater Rhodophyta in China.  相似文献

A new species from the caridean family Hippolytidae, Eualus heterodactylus sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on the specimens collected from Chinese coast of the Yellow Sea. The new species is a part of an informal species group characterized by the possession of epipods on the anterior three pairs of pereopods, and is distinguished from other species of this group by the dactyli of the third to fifth pereopods possessing distinctly stair-like flexor margins in males.  相似文献

Species, Thracia granubsa of the Family Thraciidae from the China Seas was first reported and described as new to science by Adams et Reeve (1850) . No other species was found there for more than 100 years until the author ( 1980) in his studies on Chinese bivalvia, discovered the second new species, Trigonothracia jinxinyae , described in this article .This paper deals with 6 species, three of which are new to science, collected from the littoral and sublittoral zones of the China Seas.Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica, Oingdao .  相似文献

Male and female adult midges of Pseudosmittia aizaiensis sp. n. are described and illustrated with figures of morphological characters. The inferior volsella of gonocoxite with large lobes, the long but equal width gonostylus. and the small projection in basal part of outer margin are the characters that may separate this species from others. One larva of this genus is purely aquatic in habitat and is associated with Cricotopus bicinctus, Cardiociadius capucinns and Polypedilum sp. in the same algae debris (Spirogyra sp.) of the Dunghe River. Further, the larva's very short SI and SII bifids. its 5 pairs of lateral teeth on mentum and its absence of premandible brush are the characters that may also separate this species from any known species of this genus.  相似文献

The morphology of larval and 1st postlarval stages of Penaeus penicillatus are described.Results from comparative studies on larval development of P.penicillatus,P.merguiensis and P.chinensis are as fol-lows: These three species could not be identified during their naupliar stages. In the 1st protozoea,the antennule L1/L2 value is 1.7—2.0 in P.merguiensis,but lessthan 1.7 in P.chinensis and P.penicillatus;in the 2nd protozoea,the supra-orbital spine in P.chinensis isnot bifurcated,while those of P.merguiensis and P.penicillatus are bifurcated;in the 3rd protozoea,thereis a minute(or no)dorso-median spine on the posterior margin of the 1st and 2nd abdominal somite in P.chinensis,but they are prominent in P.merguiensis and P.penicillatus.In the mysis and 1st postlarvalstages,P.chinensis differs from P.merguiensis and P.penicillatus in having 9(8 in the other 2 species)longsetae on the exopod of pereopods 1—3;additionally,one dorsal tooth appears on the rostrum of P.chinensis in the 2nd mysis and that o  相似文献

A new free-living marine nematode species of the genus Sabatieria was documented from the sediment of the Jiaozhou Bay,Qingdao,China,and it has been named Sabatieria sinica sp.nov.It is characterized by homogeneous cuticle without lateral differentiation,relatively short cephalic setae,spiral amphideal fovea with 2–2.25 turns;thick spicules with a mid constriction or joint,gubernaculum with a long straight dorso-caudal apophyses,and 6–7 prominent papillar precloacal supplements.This new species could be distinguished from other congener species by the combination of its characteristics:body size,length of cephalic setae,number of amphid turns,structures of spicules and gubernaculum,and type and number of precloacal supplements.An update dichotomous key is provided for nine species of pulchra group of Sabatieria including the new species.  相似文献

A new species, Clathrocorys gracilis nov. spec., of Tripocyrtidae (Radiolarians: Nassellaria) from surface water in northern South China Sea, is described in this paper. The new species has four radial beams arising from the cephalic base centre, each foot with cup-shaped structure and ramified bar in the proximal section (near cephalic base), and each wing with a large mesh in the middle, a medium mesh and a small mesh on each side respectively.  相似文献

This paper describes 14 species of the family Dentaliidae collected from China by the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica during the surveys on marine invertebrate animals and benthos in the past years. Of which 4 species are considered as new to science; 2 species are first recorded in China. The system adopted is mainly that of T.Habe (1964), but reference is also made to the works of W. Emerson (1962), P. Palmer (1974) and S. D. Chistikov.About 20 Chinese species of Dentaliidae have been described. We consider our study is still not complete and are sure that more species shall be found in further studies.  相似文献

Two new species of the genusTinocladia Kylin (1940)T. eudesmoides Ding et Lu sp. nov. andTinocladia zhangii Ding et Lu sp. nov., are described.T. eudesmoides is mainly characterized by its longitudinally and transversely produced sub-cortical filaments from the medulla, its short uniseriate assimilating filaments, usually composed of 6–10 cells with slightly swollen and narrow ultimate cells, and its unilocular sporangia (60–115)×55–70μm, variable in size.T. zhangii is mainly characterized by its very solid frond, not rip apart by hands, its evident longer primary branches, its short and slender secondary branches, with very evident sub-cortical layer, and filaments divided repeatedly, and its large and small unilocular sporangia, with the latter borne on an evidently swollen pedicel. Two new species of the genus Tinocladia Kylin, T. gracilis sp. nov. and T. microsporangii sp. nov,, are described. T. gracilis is characterized by its slender frond, variable size, infrequently branched medullary filaments, and short assimilating filaments with 2 - 7 cells. T. microsporangii is characterized by its medullary cells which are slightly larger than sub-cortical ones; narrow sub-cortical layer, usually consisting of 4- 6 cells and very small unilocular sporangia. Eucheuma gelatinae (Esper) J. Agardh has vegetative and reproductive features distinguishing it from other species ofEucheuma. The occurrence of reproductive nemathecia containing carpogonial branches, auxiliary cells and post-fertilization stages including gonimoblast and pericarp initiation, fusion cell formation stages and carposporophyte development are described and ilustrated for the first time for this species.
