内蒙古大兴安岭 发现我国纬度最高冰臼群

地质工作者近日在位于北纬50。的内蒙古自治区大兴安岭阿里河国家森林公冈内发现了冰臼群。被誉为“中国冰臼之父”的中国地质科学院地质研究所、中国第四纪冰川陈列馆研究员韩同林表示,这是我国目前发现的纬度最高、相对高度最高的冰臼群。     

关于广东有无冰川发育条件的讨论

因为“冰臼”一词尚未得到地学界认可，建议继续用“冰川壶穴”来替代“冰臼”。由于生成冰臼（冰川壶穴）与壶穴的水动力条件和地貌形态相似，所以单从形态难以区分广东河床上的壶穴或冰臼，只有确定广东是否发育过第四纪冰川之后，才可能确定广东是否有冰臼。本文从气候、地貌和生物角度证实广东未出现过第四纪冰川环境，并认为所谓：①水应力集中一点生成冰臼；②花岗岩坚硬不能生成壶穴；③二、三百万年前生成冰臼等冰臼论观点是     

关于南国冰臼群成因的商榷之二

南国冰臼群分布区大量冰川堆积、冰川条痕石及变形砾石的发现，再次有力地证明是“冰臼”不是“壶穴”的正确结论，由冰川漂砾经融冻作用形成的“石海”，与化学风化作用产生的花岗岩“石蛋”地貌特征，有天渊之别，不应混为一谈；边滩是由河流冲积物组成，不能与基岩冰床相提并论；圆滚水钻与急流旋涡及风蚀作用，形成的动力学性质、方向和方式完全不同，不该阴错阳差；节理、构造只影响冰臼的形态和发育程度，不是控制形成的动力学性质、方向和方式完全不同，不该阴错阳差；节理、构造只影响冰臼的形态和发育程度，不是控制冰臼的发育部位，不致于是非不辨，南国地区古冰川遗迹的大量发现，证明距今约二三百万年的第四纪早期确实曾发生过大规模的古冰川运动，为争论了半个多世纪的中国东部中低山区有无第四纪冰川问题，从此画上一个圆满的句号。     

浙江缙云大洋山地区"冰臼群"质疑

随着我国地质遗迹调查与保护工作的蓬勃开展,各时代地质遗迹包括第四纪冰川遗迹均广泛地受到社会各界的重视。与此同时,一些不实的报道,如浙江省庆元、新昌、上虞等地区发现冰臼群、冰石河等冰川遗迹的消息多见诸报端(叶隆生,2006;刘忠永,2005;韩同林,2007)。与浙江庆元、新昌、上虞毗邻的缙云县大洋山地区地理位置独特,在主峰石鼓尖也有人发现了与庆元、新昌等地相类似的“冰臼群”。对于这些“冰臼群”的成因进行深入的探索,可为揭开上述地区所谓“冰臼群”的神秘面纱提供有力的证据。1地质背景大洋山地区位于丽水-余姚深断裂东侧、上陆-…     

揭西、丰顺"冰臼群"成因商榷

根据所谓冰臼群所处的地理位置及地貌部位, 提出由于广东不在高纬度和高海拔区, 第四纪时不具备冰川发育条件, 事实上也没有人发现有确切的冰川遗迹, 孑遗植物和热带、亚热带的生物群化石也佐证没有冰川出现过。据此, 我们认为所谓冰臼群, 实是河床壶穴地貌。

广东不具备形成古冰川的气候条件 ,因此不可能有“冰臼”存在 ;通过理论研究和实地考察 ,认为庐山不存在第四纪冰川 ;科学也必须打假 ,近年来有关广东“冰臼”的报道是失实的 ,利用“冰臼”论发展旅游业是一种误导行为 ,应消除由此所产生的不良社会影响 ;新闻报道应尊重事实 ,注重深入调查研究 ,类似“冰臼”报道的教训值得记取     

冰臼与壶穴之争述评

一些地质学家在粤东揭西和丰顺所发现的U形谷、冰碛物和石海等第四纪冰川遗迹的证据不足，该区成群出现的“冰臼”，实际上是河床基岩为河流侵蚀所形成的壶穴。控制壶穴形成的构造、岩性、地貌和河流作用等条件，文中作了较为充分的论述。粤西北封开一怀集地区已发现一系列第四纪冰川遗迹，因此广东的第四纪冰川问题，今后仍值得进一步研究。     

关于“冰臼”问题与韩同林先生商榷

跨世纪的“冰臼”与“壶穴”之争,尘埃未定,缘于尚无定论．“发现冰臼”却常见于报道．本文根据国内研究冰川的成果就韩同林先生《发现冰臼》书中“冰臼”的定义、表现、成因、分布、“冰臼”遗迹的保存机理、“冰说”理论以及模拟“冰臼”的实验设计的合理性等问题提出质疑．从而阐明了：天坑、天井、冰洞、冰湖不是“冰臼”;闽、粤无“冰臼”;“冰说”理论不成立的观点．     

内蒙古满洲里地区第四纪冰川遗迹特征

内蒙古满洲里地区自上世纪80年代开展1∶20万区域地质调查工作以来,已先后发现了上更新统冰水堆积、第四纪冰臼、冰河时期动物猛犸象与披毛犀化石等冰川遗迹.这些遗迹直接反映了第四纪古冰川的存在,再次推翻了“大兴安岭没有经历第四纪冰川时代”的论断.并对预测未来区域气候、环境演化趋势提供了依据.     

福建第四纪不可能有冰川活动

根据已有研究的文献资料,对福建第四纪冰期时没有冰川活动进行论证．首先从早、中、晚更新世的化石研究资料,阐明福建地层古生物资料不支持“冰川说”;然后根据福建从北到南各地大量现存的第三纪以至古生代的喜暖孑遗植物,说明第四纪福建南北都没有冰川活动;再从福建的纬度和海拔2方面,证明福建第四纪不具备形成冰川的温度条件;最后指出所谓的冰臼,实为河水冲刷侵蚀而成的壶穴．

Deserts and Aeolian Desertification in China: Book review and some thoughts

Desertification is a global phenomenon that affects about two billion people. It occurs in arid zones where the annual precipitation is below 400 mm, partic- ularly in the marginal areas of the world＇s largest deserts. It is a result of water and wind erosion, over- grazing, global warm-ing, improper soil cultivation, and increased pressure ot population growth, and it causes degradation of soil and natural and agricultural vegetation. The direct result is less food for people and livestock, which influences pop- ulation and animal husbandry fluctuations. Despite ef- forts to combat and reduce desertification, the affected areas are annually increasing.

Much science-fiction literature is based upon the creation and exploration of alternative environments. Stanley G. Weinbaum's short story, “Parasite Planet,”introduces an unusual environment that may be wrong in the light of recent evidence on Venus but still stimulates the geographical imagination.
