Some of the upper cretaceous sedimentary rocks near Regensburg, Germany, are rich in glauconite pellets of 63–200µ diameter. The clay fractions < 2µ of the same rocks are rich in glauconite-mica too.X-ray analysis, chemical analysis and petrographical tests show that, the glauconite pellets must be excrements of marine animals which took up glauconite-mica from sea-bottom.The glauconite materials from these rocks are 1M-micapolymorphs. A comparison of this glauconite with 1M-glauconites cited in literature by other authors shows close aggreement in K2O/MgO- and K2O/Fe2O3 ratios. Within the range of analytical errors the structure formulae of all these 1M-glauconites differ from one another only by the oxidation ratio of iron and — corresponding to this ratio — by the aluminum contents of the octahedral lattice layer. The differences of the 1M-glauconites in octahedral layer populations may due to different redox potentials during glauconite formation or to oxidation during rock diagenesis or rock weathering later on.In a similar manner 1Md-polymorphs of glauconite-mica may have developed from 1M-glauconite by oxidation of iron and corresponding removement of K+ and (H3O)+ ions from interlayer lattice positions.  相似文献

There are two general types of sedimentary glauconite in Recent ocean sediments: terrigenous-allogenic and authigenic glauconite. Recent sediments of the oceans contain mainly terrigenous-allogenic glauconite (shelf and continental slope) which is formed from ancient glauconite-bearing rocks on coasts, islands and the ocean floor. The age of terrigenous-allogenic glauconite ranges from 2 to 70 m.y. (8 samples from the Atlantic Ocean, 13 from the Pacific Ocean, 1 from the Indian Ocean). The area of terrigenous-allogenic glauconite distribution correlates very well with the area of distribution of glauconite-bearing rocks on land and does not correlate with the climate and bathymetry.Authigenic glauconite is seldom found in Recent ocean sediments. The sediments with authigenic glauconite form transition zones between sediments with organic carbon, H2S and sulphide near coasts and oxidized sediments of the ocean floor (red clay and others). The areas of authigenic glauconite distribution are not yet well known. The formation of authigenic glauconite occurs mainly during diagenesis of sediments by synthesis from interstitial solutions and/or alteration of clay minerals.  相似文献

Understanding the dynamics of organic matter in modern marine water columns greatly favors the geobiological evaluation of hydrocarbon source rocks. Biolipids could make great contribution to petroleum hydrocarbons due to their comparable chemical components and the slightly refractory characteristics of biolipids during the microbial/thermal degradation. A variety of environmental factors such as temperature, CO2 and salinity could affect the biochemical contents in microorganisms. As a result, microorganisms living in a changing environmental condition might have a different contribution to the petroleum formation. Organic carbon flux is shown to bear a positive correlation with the primary productivity only within a certain range of biomass volumes in a specific biohabitat. Furthermore, organic matter is degraded much quickly in a water column with oxic conditions. Therefore, the anoxic condition, along with the enhanced biological productivity, would be one of the significant factors in the formation of high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks. The formation of biofilms and microbial mats favors the preservation of sedimentary organic matter by decreasing the degradation rate of organic matter. 在龙江盆地地区,龙江组由中—中酸性火山岩、火山碎屑岩和火山碎屑沉积岩组成。岩石地球化学显示为钙碱性岛弧火山岩系列,火山熔岩主体具有高SiO_2、Na_2O、Al_2O_3、Sr,低MgO、Y、Yb,和高场强元素Ta、Nb明显亏损等特征,与典型埃达克岩地球化学特征吻合,Sr和Sr/Y值显示为俯冲型埃达克岩。地球化学相关图解等表明岩浆在早期演化过程阶段可能发生了陆壳混染,经历了斜长石、辉石、铁钛氧化物和磷灰石的分离结晶作用。锆石LAICP-MSU-Pb谐和年龄为(125.9±1.5)Ma,与在该组中发现的化石资料完全一致,代表了火山岩的形成年龄。从东北地区火山岩的定年结果及其空间展布来看,龙江组火山岩的形成既与环太平洋构造体系有关,又与蒙古—鄂霍茨克构造带相联系。  相似文献

大兴安岭北部漠河盆地广泛发育漠河组,其形成时代、物源区特征及大地构造背景等对研究盆地的形成与演化具有重要意义。本文在漠河盆地西缘恩和哈达地区漠河组内发现了2层凝灰岩夹层。采用LA-ICP-MS U-Pb测年方法进行了锆石U-Pb年代学研究,分别获得(158±1)Ma、(157±2)Ma的年龄,表明漠河组形成于晚侏罗世早期。砂岩岩石地球化学分析结果显示,漠河组砂岩SiO_2含量高(70.20%~76.13%),SiO_2/Al_2O_3值为4.99~5.87,K_2O/Na_2O值为0.59~1.62;在稀土元素球粒陨石标准化图解上,曲线与活动大陆边缘的稀土元素曲线吻合较好;样品富集高场强元素(Th、Hf)和大离子亲石元素(Rb、K),亏损高场强元素(Nb、Ta、Ti、P)和大离子亲石元素(Ba、Sr),微量元素蛛网图曲线与活动大陆边缘相似。地球化学物源分析图解和大地构造背景判别表明:漠河组砂岩的母岩主要来源于石英质沉积岩和酸性火山岩的混合区。砂岩碎屑锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb测年结果显示,碎屑锆石年龄与盆地南缘前寒武系基底和各期花岗岩类岩石的时代一致。综合研究认为,漠河组沉积物主要来自盆地南缘额尔古纳、兴安等地块,物源区既有古老陆壳物质,也有年轻的火成岩,大地构造背景以活动大陆边缘为主。  相似文献

Detailed geological,chronological,mineralogical,petrological and geochemical studies have been conducted of the Chichent gneissic complex in northwestern Hebei province.The gneissic complex is composed mainly of tonalitic-granodioritic rocks according to O'Connor's classification.The zircou U-Pb age of the gneissic complex is 2468-27^+33 Ma.,consistent with that of the rocks in the North Tonalitic-granodioritic Gneiss Belt in the North China Platorm.The Archean Chicheng gneissic complex is part of the belt.No significant difference in composition between early anhedral metasomatic and late semi-euhedral plagiocalases suggests that the gneissic complex is not composed merely of mafic rocks replaced by felsic fiuids.The REE patterns in the complex,in conjunction with major and trace elements data,show that the gneissic complex is the mixture of felsic magma produced by partial melting of FI dacitic granulite and crystallate derived from the magma produced by 50%±partial melting of TH2 tholeiitic granulite and 40%±fractional crystallization of hornblende.  相似文献

On the basis of the results of hydropyrolysis simulations for about 90 different types of immature to mature source rocks selected from about 5 000 marine source rocks in China, along with the natural thermal evolution profiles, the following conclusions were obtained. (1) Total organic carbon (TOC) content of excellent marine source rocks does not change obviously when Ro < 0.8% or Ro > 1.3%, and the residual TOC content is decreasing gradually with the maturity increase at 0.8% < Ro < 1.3%. (2) At the high-post mature stage (Ro > 1.3%), the decreased maximums of residual TOC content for the kerogen of sapropel (I), II1, and II are usually 40%, 32% and 24%, respectively, and their TOC restitution coefficient is, respectively, 1.68, 1.48 and 1.32. (3) Both the TOC decreasing amplitude and the restitution coefficient decrease gradually with the decrease of TOC content for the source rocks with low organic matter abundance (usually 0.3% < TOC < 1.0%). The TOC restitution coefficients are, respectively, 1.20 and 1.0, when 0.3% < TOC < 0.5% and TOC < 0.3%. (4) TOCres of solid bitumen and shale with high organic matter abundance (TOC > 30%) also require no restitution at the high mature stage. Such kind of TOC restitution is further supported by the coincidence of the decrease of residual TOC with the decreasing of S1 + S2 and the increasing of hydrocarbon quantity during the experimental simulation of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion for marine source rocks (0.3% < TOC < 30%) in natural thermal evolution profiles. __________ Translated from Earth Science—Journal of China University of Geosciences, 2007, 32(6): 853–860 [译自: 地球科学—中国地质大学学报]  相似文献

海绿石以独特的绿色自生色和球粒形状与围岩形成明显反差,关于其成因、演化、沉积和地层学意义目前存在3种普遍被认可并被采用的观点:海绿石是典型的海相沉积自生矿物,原地海绿石是“慢速、弱还原、较深水环境”的典型指相矿物之一;通常是海侵相的产物,含海绿石的地层在浅海沉积中常被作为海侵时期“凝缩段”及其相关沉积的识别标志之一;是沉积年代学中K-Ar、40Ar/39Ar年龄理想的测定对象。在采用海绿石作为典型指相矿物的过程中,应注意海绿石可以形成于多种沉积环境中,只有原地海绿石才能作为海侵时期“凝缩段”及其相关沉积的识别标志;海绿石年龄往往呈“年轻化”或“老化”,没有火成岩定年准确,只有成熟、富钾的海绿石才是最好的定年对象。  相似文献

A major re‐organization of regional drainages in eastern Tibet and south‐western China took place in the Cenozoic as deformation from the growing Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau affected an increasingly wider area. The effects of these changes on the regional sediment routing systems is not well constrained. This study examines the geochemical and Nd signatures of sedimentary rocks from the Ying‐Qiong and Nanxiong basins on the northern margin of the South China Sea to constrain and identify any significant changes in sediment source. Upper Cretaceous to Lower Eocene sedimentary rocks in the Nanxiong Basin show higher Th/Sc, La/Sc, Th/Cr and Th/Co ratios and lower Eu/Eu* ratios than PAAS (post‐Archaean Australian Shale), which indicates that Palaeozoic sedimentary rocks of the South China Block were the main basin sediment source. In contrast, Oligocene to Pleistocene sedimentary rocks of the Ying‐Qiong Basin show an abrupt change in these trace‐element ratios between 16·3 and 10·4 Ma, indicating a mid‐Miocene shift in provenance. ɛNd values from the Ying‐Qiong Basin (range = −11·1 to −2·1) reinforce this, with pre‐13·8 Ma sedimentary rocks having average ɛNd of −5·6 (range = −2·1 to −7·4), and post‐13·8 Ma sedimentary rocks having average ɛNd of −9·3 (range = −8·7 to −11·1). During the Oligocene, the centre of rifting transferred south and basins on the north margin of the South China Sea experienced rapid subsidence. Further uplift and erosion then exposed Mesozoic and Cenozoic granites that supplied large amounts of granitic detritus, especially to the Ying‐Qiong Basin. Then a change occurred at ca 13 Ma resulting in less input from local sources (i.e. the fault blocks formed by Mesozoic‐Cenozoic tectonics and magmatism) to an increasing contribution of older continental material, mostly from Indochina to the west of the South China Sea.  相似文献

Glauconite     
The term glauconite has been employed in two senses. It has been used most commonly as a morphological term for sand-sized greenish grains found in sedimentary rocks, but also as a name for a specific mineral species, a hydrated iron-rich micaceous clay mineral. The two uses are not synonymous, since not all morphological glauconite consists exclusively of mineral glauconite, nor is the latter restricted in its occurrence to such pellets. Mineral glauconite in sensu lato is a random interstratification of nonexpanding 10A?layers and expanding montmorillonitic layers. The amount of expandable layers may be over 50 % but it is customary to restrict the name mineral glauconite in sensu stricto to varieties with less than 10 % expandable layers. The variation in amount of expandable layers explains many of the observed variations in the properties of glauconite including chemical composition (especially potassium content), thermal characteristics, cation exchange capacity, colour, refractive index and specific gravity. Mineral glauconite is believed to form by the progressive absorption of potassium and iron by a degraded layer silicate lattice of low lattice charge and elimination of other silicate-lattice types under suitable environmental conditions, of which the most critical seems to be the redox potential. The catalytic activity of marine organisms is no longer thought to be essential, although decaying organic matter and empty foraminiferal tests supply the ideal environment for glauconite genesis. The process of glauconitization is arrested by rapid sedimentation, so that there is a relationship between the variety of mineral glauconite formed and the nature of the host rock. Glauconite is found associated particularly with marine transgressions. Morphological glauconite grains are believed to form as casts, faecal pellets or by accretionary growth, but may have their morphology modified by subsequent re-working. A number of characteristic internal and external morphologies have been recognised. The wide range of environmental conditions suitable for its formation and its common detrital occurrence debars the use of glauconite in palaeo-environmental studies. Its major use in geology is for the absolute age dating of sedimentary rocks by the K-Ar method. Glauconitic deposits have no present day commercial value, but soils formed on glauconitic parent materials are notable for their fertility. Glauconite weathers by loss of potassium to produce a montmorillonitic or vermiculitic product with the release of, or oxidation of, structural iron, so that the grain has the appearance of having weathered to limonite.  相似文献

近年来美国和智利等国家新发现了大量赋存在粘土岩中的锂资源,该类锂资源主要是由火山灰蚀变而成。火山灰沉积水解形成的绿豆岩,广泛分布于我国西南地区,其是否存在锂的富集现象值得研究。笔者对重庆铜梁地区绿豆岩开展了调查研究,通过X射线荧光光谱仪和等离子质谱仪分析,发现绿豆岩中钾的平均含量为8.77%,锂的含量可达663×10~(-6),相当于0.14%的Li_2O含量,远高于固体、露采盐类矿的边界品位0.06%;稀土元素总量可以达到500×10~(-6),接近离子吸附型矿的边界品位。X射线衍射分析显示绿豆岩主要含有石英、长石和粘土矿物,其中粘土的主要成分为伊蒙混层和少量伊利石。伊蒙混层含量占比高的样品较占比低的样品Li的含量偏高。结合粘土及锂的物理化学特性,推断绿豆岩中的Li呈离子形态被粘土矿物吸附。如果这些锂资源能够被综合利用,势必将会产生巨大的经济效益。  相似文献

Reported in this paper are the Nd isotopic compositions of the pre-Sinian and Sinian-Cambrian sedimentary rocks in the Xiushui area,Jiangxi Province.Significant differences are noticed between them in their Nd isotopic dompositions.As for the pre-Sinian lightly metmorphozed sedimentary rocks,^143Nd/^144Nd=0.512000-0.512214,CNd(T)=-8.04-9.99,and TDM=18332426Ma are suggested for the Sinian-Cambrian sedimentary rocks .These differences would reflect the diversity of material source for the sedimentary rocks deposited before and after the Sinian period.Mantle material ap-pears to have been involved in the formation of the pre-Sinian sedimentary rocks while the post-Sinian sedimentary rocks are composed mainly of recycled detritus from the continental crust.  相似文献

The Late Permian Dalong Formation in Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi in South China could be subdivided into several sedimentary types according to the lithology, indicative of the great spatial variations of both the lithology and sedimentary facies. The Dalong Formation deposited during the highest transgression of Late Permian, in particular under the anaerobic and suboxic conditions, which shows a strong linkage with the hydrocarbon source rocks. Open-system non-isothermal pyrolysis up to 1,200°C in combination with elemental analysis was used to study the thermal liberation of molecular nitrogen (N2) from sedimentary rocks and kerogen concentrates of Palaeozoic age from the Central European Basin system and an Eocene shale (Liaohe Basin, China) with a high content (36%) of ammonium feldspar (buddingtonite). The N/Corg (atomic) ratios of the kerogen concentrates ranged from 0.005 to 0.014, which represents the range commonly observed for coals. Bulk N/Corg ratios of the Palaeozoic shales extended from 0.035 to 0.108, indicating the presence of significant amounts of inorganic nitrogen. Namurian A and A-B (CnA; CnA-B) samples typically exhibited the earliest onset of N2 generation with intense, characteristic peaks around 600°C. N2 liberation from the buddingtonite-rich sample occurred at higher temperatures, with a broad peak around 700°C. Pyrograms of the kerogen concentrates showed no or strongly reduced N2 generation in the 500–700°C range. On-line isotope-specific analysis of the pyrolytically liberated N2 on one sample revealed a variability of ∼10‰ in the δ15N values and a steady increase in δ15N with temperature during the main phase of N2 generation.  相似文献

丹池成矿带是我国重要锡多金属成矿带,过去对丹池成矿带成岩成矿研究主要集中在大厂矿田及五圩矿田,而对丹池成矿带北部的芒场矿田岩浆作用时代、源区特征及其成矿性缺少分析。芒场矿田岩浆活动强烈,发育隐伏斑状花岗岩及有关的花岗斑岩脉和隐伏细粒花岗斑岩及有关的白云母花岗斑岩脉。本文分析花岗斑岩脉U-Pb年龄及花岗斑岩脉和白云母花岗斑岩脉主、微量元素组成,以探讨岩浆活动时代、岩浆源区特征及其成矿潜力。芒场矿田花岗斑岩脉锆石U-Pb年龄为89.1±0.9Ma (MSWD=0.9),和丹池成矿带内大厂矿田岩浆活动时代相近,表明丹池成矿带岩浆活动时代都发生于90Ma左右。白云母花岗斑岩脉具高A/CNK比值(2.69~2.88),含高铝硅酸盐矿物白云母及在Th-Rb图上沿S型花岗岩趋势线分布,和大厂矿田S型黑云母花岗岩的特征基本一致,表明其主要为S型花岗岩。花岗斑岩脉形成时代晚于白云母花岗斑岩脉,但其具有更低的SiO_2含量和更高的MgO、Fe_2O_3~T、CaO和TiO_2含量,且在SiO_2与TiO_2、Fe_2O_3~T、Al_2O_3和P_2O_5关系图中分布于不同区域,没有线性变化关系,显示两者不是同一岩浆结晶分异演化形成的,而为不同沉积变质岩部分熔融形成的。白云母花岗斑岩脉富Al_2O_3、K_2O、Rb、Cs、Sn、W、Nb和Ta,在Rb/Ba-Rb/Sr图上位于富粘土源区,为强风化作用形成的富粘土质富稀有金属源区部分熔融形成的产物。华南西部基底发育经强风化作用形成的富粘土质富稀有金属元素沉积变质源区,为华南西南缘大规模锡矿床的形成提供了物质基础。  相似文献

Based on analysis of the well drilling core from Subei basin, the authors conclude that during the Late Cretaceous and Paleocene, Subei basin was linked with the sea and the deposit was affected by transgression. The cause of marine transgression may be that since Late Cretaceous and Paleocene tension power had predominated ground-stress conditions of the East China Sea and developed a series of half-graben-like basins filled by a huge thick sediment of the Early Tertiary in the shelf of Huabei-Bohai gulf, Subei-South Yellow Sea and East China Sea. Consequently, seawater transgressed from the East China Sea to the Yellow Sea and linked halfgraben-like basins on the shelf to the sea within a short period. During the sedimentation of the Late Cretaceous Taizhou Formation and Paleocene Funing Formation, the Subei basin had formed the ostracoda-enriched dark shale, including predominantly the whole basin E1 f 2 Formation and E1 f 4 Formation and local K2 t 2 Formation, which became the main source rocks of the basin. The evidence of paleontology, minerals in rocks and geochemistry can help confirm the environment of the lake basin that developed during the Late Cretaceous and Paleocene. We generally designate this environment as “near sea lake basin” and the sea-transgressed layer and member as “transgression lake basin”.Whereas, it is generally called “inland lake and river alluvium plain” during the sedimentation of the Eocene Dainan Formation and Sanduo Formation. In the Sandıklı (Afyon) region, western Taurides, the Late Proterozoic rocks of the Sandıklı basement complex are composed of low-grade meta-sedimentary rocks (Güvercinoluk Formation) intruded by felsic rocks (Kestel Cayı Porphyroid Suite, KCPS). The KCPS is a deformed and highly sheared, dome-shaped rhyolitic body with a granitic core. Quartz porphyry dikes intrude both the slightly metamorphic igneous and the sedimentary rocks of the basement complex. Both the quartz porphyries and rhyolites were converted into mylonites with relict igneous textures. Geochemical data show that these felsic igneous rocks are subalkaline and mainly granitic in composition with SiO2 >72 wt% and Al2O3 >11.5 wt%. The chondrite-normalized incompatible trace element patterns are characterized by distinct negative Rb, Nb, Sr, P, Ti, and Eu with enrichment in Th, U, La, Ce, Nd, Sm, and Zr. The REE patterns of the felsic rocks indicate a strong enrichment in LREE but display slightly flat HREE patterns. According to geochemical characteristics and petrogenetic modeling, extrusive and intrusive rocks of the KCPS were probably derived from an upper continental crustal source (partial melting of granites/felsic rocks) by 18–20% fractional melting plus 18–20% Rayleigh fractional crystallization, which seems to be the most effective igneous process during the crystallization of the KCPS. Single zircon age data from the granitoids and fossils from the disconformably overlying sedimentary successions indicate that the metamorphism and the igneous event in the Taurides are related to the Cadomian orogeny. Based on the geological, geochemical and petrogenetic correlation of the post-collisional granitoids it is further suggested that the Tauride belt in western central Turkey was in a similar tectonic setting to the Gondwanan terranes in North Africa (Younger Granitoids) and southern Europe (Spain, France, Bohemia, Brno Massifs) during the Late Cadomian period.  相似文献

在西湖凹陷渐新统花港组中首次发现非正常海相海绿石。可分为三种类型:即团粒状海绿石、胶结物海绿石和碎屑假象海绿石。前两者属沉积过程或成岩初期的产物。通过沉积学研究,结合微量元素及介质条件分析认为,花港组总体为滨岸湖泊三角洲-河流体系,但是曾程度不同地受到海水或咸水-半咸水影响。花港组的时代就可能归属为始新统。这一认识上的突破除了花港组年代地层的对比意义以外,还将引起对盆地演化阶段、沉积体系空间配置及油气有利相带预测等问题的重新认识。  相似文献

岩石学、沉积相、元素地球化学的综合分析结果表明,羌塘盆地沃若山地区上三叠统土门格拉组(T_3t)地层为三角洲沉积;整体富含水解性元素、Fe族元素以及上部砂岩Fe元素富集(高Fe/Mn比值)的特征表明古水体环境为较浅的河口-滨岸环境;CIA值(63.8~79)、ICV值(0.52~1.4)和Ga/Rb-K2O/Al2O3关系图解分析结果显示当时为风化强度中等、较温暖的半干旱—半湿润气候;Sr/Ba比值全部小于1(0.09~0.27),表明沉积水体为盐度较低的陆相淡水;根据V、U、Mo的含量比值,判断其为氧化-弱氧化的富氧水体环境。较为温湿的气候有利于生物的繁殖,但氧化-弱氧化的环境不利于有机质的富集,限制了该地区烃源岩发育:土门格拉组烃源岩的TOC含量为0.76%~1.46%(均值为1.04%),属中等品质的烃源岩。  相似文献
