塔城市南约30km的别斯托别苏长辉长岩侵入石炭纪二长花岗岩中,二者的接触部位多被农田覆盖。二长花岗岩内部存在大量辉长岩、闪长岩、花岗闪长岩、石英闪长岩、石英斑岩等包体(但没有苏长辉长岩包体)。苏长辉长岩主要由透辉石-普通辉石、顽火辉石、基性斜长石(An:51 ~ 70)和少量钛铁矿-磁铁矿组成。从苏长辉长岩中分选出的锆石CL图像显示典型的扇形结构(锆石中存在辉石和斜长石包体)。对两个锆石样品进行的SHRIMP年代学研究得到平均年龄分别为:273.3 1.8Ma(MSWD = 1.18,n = 20)和272.5 2.8Ma(MSWD = 0.75,n = 12)。这两个年龄在误差范围内完全一致,表明别斯托别苏长辉长岩的形成时代为早二叠世晚期。在该苏长辉长岩与花岗岩接触带附近观察到的铜矿化现象为找矿勘探提供了方向。  相似文献

为了确定松辽盆地南部中生代火山岩的形成时代, 本文对位于盆地南部7个钻遇中生代火山岩的岩芯样品进行了锆石LA~ICP-MSU-Pb定年.松辽盆地南部中生代含火山岩地层主要包括火石岭组和营城组, 其中火石岭组火山岩由玄武安山岩-粗安岩-粗面英安岩组成, 营城组火山岩由玄武质粗面安山岩-粗面安山岩-流纹岩组成.锆石阴极发光(CL)图像和Th/U比值显示, 所测锆石均具有岩浆成因的特点, 锆石的LA-ICP-MSU-Pb定年结果表明, 松辽盆地南部中生代火山岩形成时代介于110b133Ma, 其中火石岭组火山岩形成于129-133Ma, 即早白垩世早期, 营城组火山岩形成于110~119/Via, 即早白垩世晚期.捕获锆石的定年结果显示, 本区基底中存在中晚侏罗世(155~169Ma)、印支期(218~236Ma)、海西期(254/Via、294Ma)、加里东期(413Ma)和前寒武纪(1823/Via和2542Ma)岩浆事件, 这与基底岩石中锆石U—Pb的定年结果相吻合.   相似文献

库卫镁铁-超镁铁质杂岩体位于新疆阿尔泰南缘,兼具铜镍矿化岩体和钒钛铁矿化岩体的双重特征,主要组成岩石类型有中粒辉长岩、条带状橄榄辉长岩、橄榄苏长辉长岩、角闪辉长岩和含橄辉长岩等。本文采用LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb定年法,获得中粒辉长岩、橄榄苏长辉长岩和含橄辉长岩的加权平均年龄分别为398.7±3.7Ma、397.5±2.3Ma和385.2±1.6Ma,表明库卫岩体是早中泥盆世构造-岩浆活动的产物。岩体的主量元素显示其属亚碱性系列,并具有向拉斑系列岩石演化的趋势。具有Ba、U、Ta、Pb、Sr、Ti和Eu的正异常,Th的负异常,显示了相似的LREE相对富集的右倾型配分模式,表明它们可能为同源岩浆演化的产物。结合地球化学特征和区域地质背景,推测库卫岩体为早中泥盆世俯冲消减环境的产物,其原始岩浆可能来源于受俯冲物质交代的地幔楔和软流圈的混合体,不同的岩石类型是相似来源的岩浆经强烈分异的结果。库卫岩体兼具铜镍矿化岩体和钒钛铁矿化岩体的双重特征,但形成铁钛矿床的潜力略显不足。  相似文献

应用SHRIMP锆石U-Pb测年,对攀西地区白马和太和含矿层状基性-超基性岩体的年龄进行研究,获得白马层状辉长岩体锆石U-Pb年龄为258±2Ma(95%可信度),太和层状辉长岩体锆石U-Pb年龄为262±2Ma(95%可信度)。结果表明,攀西地区的白马和太和含矿层状辉长岩体均形成于二叠纪晚期。该年龄信息显示了从层状辉长岩体的侵入到峨眉山玄武岩的喷发高峰期(250Ma)仅距5~10Ma,二者应属于同期不同阶段岩浆活动的产物。鉴于空间上层状辉长岩体与峨眉山玄武岩密切相关,基性-超基性岩体和玄武岩的形成均与晚古生代末期峨眉地幔柱活动有关。  相似文献

The Puutsaari intrusion is a potassium-rich magmatic complex in the eastern part of the Svecofennian domain close to the Archaean border. The intrusion is generally undeformed in contrast to 1880–1875 Ma-old country rock tonalitic migmatites and diatectites. The main rock types are: (1) mafic rocks of a gabbro–norite–diorite–quartz monzodiorite series; (2) quartz diorite–tonalite–granodiorite; and (3) coarse-grained microcline granite. The three rock-types intruded coevally forming a peculiar three-component mingling system. The mafic rocks, enriched in K, P, Ba, Sr and LREE, have marked shoshonitic affinities (K2O=1.97–5.40, K2O/Na2O=0.6–2.37). On a regional scale they demonstrate transitional geochemistry between less enriched syn-orogenic 1880 Ma-old gabbro–tonalite complexes and strongly enriched 1800 Ma post-collisional shoshonitic intrusions. The microcline granite as well as the tonalite–granodiorite rocks are geochemically similar to crustal anatectic granitoids of the NW Ladoga Lake area. The three rock groups do not form a single trend on Harker-type diagrams and are unlikely to be related by fractional crystallisation or mixing. Zircons from the Puutsaari microcline granite and from the mafic rock series have been dated by ion-microprobe (NORDSIM) at 1868.2±5.9 and 1869±7.7 Ma, respectively. Most zircons recovered from a granite sample had zoned or homogeneous cores and unzoned fractured rims. No statistically significant variation of zircon core and rim ages from the granite was established in the course of this study. Zircons from the mafic rock are unzoned. It is suggested that the mafic rocks at Puutsaari were derived from an enriched mantle shortly after the main Svecofennian collisional event and the roughly 1.88 Ga regional metamorphic culmination. The emplacement of the mafic melt caused anatectic melting of various crustal protoliths and produced coeval granitic and tonalitic compositions.  相似文献

团山子基性脉岩为松辽盆地南缘晚中生代最后一期岩浆活动,在其中获得了较多的捕获锆石。为了反映松辽盆地基底岩浆活动事件,对基性脉岩中捕获锆石进行了锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb定年。捕获锆石阴极发光(CL)图像和Th/U比值显示具有岩浆成因的特点。从锆石定年结果得到8组年龄,反映出早侏罗世晚期(176Ma)、海西期(291Ma)、加里东期(467Ma)、新元古代(942Ma)、中元古代(1368Ma)、古元古代(1886Ma和2165Ma)、新太古代(2458Ma)岩浆事件记录。松辽盆地南部基底组成以古生代和早中生代岩浆岩为主,并可能存在西保安群前寒武纪结晶基底(942Ma),并经历了复杂的岩浆演化。中元古代、古元古代、新太古代年龄的锆石具有磨圆和反应边,可能为与华北克拉通岩浆事件形成的锆石被搬运到松辽盆地南部,并被再次捕获的结果,反映松辽盆地南部与华北大陆具有一定的联系,但不确定存在该期的结晶基底。  相似文献

萨吾尔地区位于西准噶尔东北缘,广泛发育晚古生代中酸性侵入岩和火山岩以及少量基性侵入岩,这些岩浆岩的年代学研究对于限制西准噶尔地区石炭纪构造环境具有重要的意义。本文通过研究萨吾尔地区科克托别岩体的岩相学特征、锆石SHRIMP U-Pb年龄以及地球化学特征,探讨该岩体构造背景以及成因机制,为进一步论证西准噶尔地区石炭纪构造环境提供佐证。科克托别岩体包括中粗粒辉长岩、细粒辉长岩和闪长岩,在野外露头显示细粒辉长岩以脉状侵入中粗粒辉长岩中,细粒辉长岩中包裹有中粗粒辉长岩包体,中粗粒辉长岩与闪长岩之间呈渐变过渡接触关系,说明科克托别岩体是不同期次岩浆侵位形成的杂岩体,早期岩浆侵入形成中粗粒辉长岩和闪长岩,晚期岩浆上侵就位于中粗粒辉长岩构造裂隙中形成细粒辉长岩。科克托别岩体中细粒辉长岩锆石SHRIMP U-Pb年龄为323.2±6.2Ma,表明岩体形成于早石炭世晚期。该岩体成岩年龄晚于该地区蛇绿岩套岩石年龄,也晚于岛弧火山岩年龄以及含斑岩矿床侵入岩年龄,与该地区I型花岗岩年龄相似,而明显早于碰撞后A型花岗岩和双峰式火山岩的形成年龄,说明科克托别岩体可能形成于同碰撞构造环境中。不同岩相的岩石主量元素之间的相关关系以及微量元素配分型式相似性说明它们为同源岩浆结晶分异的产物。岩相学和地球化学特征表明岩体初始岩浆可能为软流圈地幔与上覆交代地幔相互作用形成,板片断离可能为软流圈地幔的上涌起到重要作用。  相似文献

塔里木克拉通基底古隆起构造-热事件及其结构与演化   总被引:10,自引:4,他引:6  
通过盆地内部锆石U-Pb测年分析表明,塔里木克拉通基底存在2950~ 3100Ma、2100 ~ 2400Ma、1900~2000Ma、1300~1600Ma、900 ~ 950Ma、700~800Ma、540 ~ 560Ma、400~ 500Ma和270~290Ma等9期构造-热事件.中央航磁异常带井下花岗岩锆石SHRIMP U-Pb年龄测定发现1908.2±8.6Ma前寒武纪基底,表明盆地内部可能存在古元古代构造-热事件形成的古老花岗岩基底.结合新的地质与地球物理资料综合分析,塔里木盆地前寒武纪具有不同年代、不同类型的基底结构,北部为中-新元古代中浅变质岩基底、中部为古元古代花岗岩基底、南部为新元古代早-中期岩浆岩与变质岩基底、东南部为遭受早志留纪区域变质改造的变质岩基底.井震结合发现塔里木盆地寒武系/前寒武系发育广泛分布的大型不整合,形成塔北与塔南两大前寒武纪基底古隆起,可能与550Ma“泛非运动”相关.塔里木盆地基底古隆起主要经历5期演化,古元古代中期形成克拉通化基底,新元古代早期形成统一的变质结晶基底,寒武纪沉积前两大基底古隆起形成,加里东晚期五大基底古隆起基本定型,海西期以来发生局部调整改造.  相似文献

新疆特克斯县乌孙山科桑溶洞火山-沉积岩剖面由变质岩、火山-沉积岩(中酸性火山熔岩、火山碎屑岩、生物碎屑灰岩)和侵入其中的花岗质岩石组成,花岗岩中保留着英安岩-安山岩顶垂体。夹在火山岩地层之间的厚层生物碎屑灰岩(其中发育溶洞)发生褶皱变形。在剖面多处见到逆冲构造,断裂带局部塑性变形。采自剖面下部英安岩样品的锆石232Th/238U比值为0.4~0.6,U-Pb谐和年龄368.3±1.7Ma(MSWD=1.5,n=15)。剖面上部流纹岩中锆石的232Th/238U比值为0.8~2.2,U-Pb谐和年龄为356.4±1.7Ma(MSWD=1.3,n=19)。大约12Ma的时差说明存在两次火山喷发事件,在这两次火山喷发的间歇形成了巨厚生物碎屑灰岩(1000m)。这种间歇性的火山喷发在西天山地区普遍发育,形成了规模巨大的滨海相火山-沉积盆地。剖面下部的英安岩与剖面上部的流纹岩的锆石具有不同的微量元素组成,预示着其岩浆源区性质的差异。  相似文献

The sequence of rock and ore formation at the Yermakovsky beryllium deposit is established on the basis of geological relationships and Rb-Sr and U-Pb isotopic dating. The Rb-Sr age of amphibolitefacies regional metamorphism is determined for quartz-biotite-plagioclase schist (266 ± 18 Ma) and dolomitized limestone (271 ± 12 Ma) of the Zun-Morino Formation. The U-Pb zircon age of premineral gabbro is 332 ± 1 Ma. The Rb-Sr age of gabbro is somewhat younger (316 ± 8.3 Ma), probably owing to the effect of Hercynian metamorphism on sedimentary rocks of the Zun-Morino Formation and gabbroic intrusion that cuts through it. The U-Pb zircon age of gneissose granite of the Tsagan Complex at the Yermakovsky deposit is 316 ± 2 Ma, i.e., close to the age of metamorphism superimposed on gabbro rocks. The U-Pb zircon age of preore granitic dikes, estimated at 325 ± 3 and 333 ± 10 Ma, is close to the age of gabbro. The Ar/Ar age of amphibole from a granitic dike (302.5 ± 0.9 Ma) probably displays a later closure of this isotopic system or the effect of superimposed processes. The Rb-Sr age of alkali syenite intrusion is 227 ± 1.9 Ma. The U-Pb zircon age of alkali leucogranite stock pertaining to the Lesser Kunalei Complex is 226 ± 1 Ma, while the Rb-Sr age of beryllium ore is 225.9 ± 1.2 Ma. These data indicate that beryllium ore mineralization is closely related in space and time to igneous rocks of the Lesser Kunalei Complex dated at 224 ± 5 Ma and varying from gabbro to alkali granite in composition. Thus, the preore Hercynian magmatism at the Yermakovsky deposit took place ∼330 Ma ago and was completed by metamorphism dated at 271–266 Ma. The ore-forming magmatism and beryllium ore mineralization are dated at 224 ± 5 Ma. Postore magmatic activity is scarce and probably correlated with tectonic melange of host rocks.  相似文献

阿克苏蓝片岩和基性岩墙形成时代和构造背景对认识塔里木地块前寒武纪构造演化以及新元古代超大陆重建具有重要意义.本文通过对含蓝片岩的阿克苏群中变质碎屑岩和侵入阿克苏群的基性岩墙的锆石U-Pb定年及Hf同位素分析表明,(长石)石英片岩中碎屑锆石出现2个明显的统计峰值,较老一组锆石207Pb/206Pb的表面年龄集中在~1.9Ga,并有少量太古代的年龄信息;另一组较年轻锆石206Pb/238U表面年龄峰值为~820Ma,代表阿克苏群的最大沉积年龄.侵入阿克苏群的基性岩墙锆石U-Pb年龄为~760Ma.阿克苏蓝片岩相变质的时间被严格限定在820~760Ma区间内.碎屑锆石Hf同位素地壳模式年龄峰值出现在2.2~2.3Ga,2.6Ga和3.2~3.3Ga.综合本次工作及前人研究成果,表明阿克苏蓝片岩地体是塔里木早前寒武纪基底之上发育起来的大陆边缘岩浆弧.  相似文献

新疆北山地区的旋窝岭岩体侵位于下石炭统红柳园组变质砂岩中,辉长岩的锆石SIMSU-Pb定年结果为260.7±2.0Ma,晚于区域上其它岩体的成岩年龄。该岩体由橄榄岩、橄长岩、橄榄辉长岩和辉长岩组成,岩石较新鲜,具有典型的包橄结构和辉长结构,各岩性中均可见斜长石,而斜方辉石仅在辉长岩中出现。橄榄石的Fo值在80~85之间,NiO含量介于0.1%~0.2%之间;单斜辉石主要为普通辉石和透辉石,斜方辉石为古铜辉石。这些镁铁质矿物和斜长石成分与全岩的地球化学特征具有很好的相关性,说明该岩体母岩浆的演化过程主要受控于结晶分异作用。全岩的MgO含量在9.5%~21.8%之间,具有平坦的稀土配分型式和正Eu异常以及微量元素Nb、Zr、Hf的负异常等。因此,旋窝岭岩体可能是在北山裂谷形成过程中由于岩石圈地幔高程度部分熔融形成的高镁玄武质岩浆分异演化的产物,具有一定的铜镍硫化物矿床的成矿潜力。  相似文献

Petrographic, geochemical, and isotopic data have been obtained for 33 samples selected to provide constraints on contamination models for the volcanic and intrusive components of the Late Permian to Early Triassic, Siberian flood-volcanic province. Twenty-one of these samples were carried from great depth in an explosive diatreme of Triassic age, whereas 12 were collected from drill core from depths of tens to 2000 m. The studied diatreme xenoliths are: (1) fragments of the crystalline basement; and (2) fragments of a basaltic-to-rhyolitic volcanic suite.

Prompted by an unexpected, Late Paleozoic, Rb-Sr isochron age for this compositionally diverse volcanic suite, a SHRIMP U-Pb zircon age of ~270 Ma was obtained for a rhyodacite xenolith. Previously, a SHRIMP zircon U-Pb age of ~910 Ma had been determined for a leucogranite xenolith from the crystalline basement; this sample also contains substantial amounts of inherited, Early Proterozoic and Archean zircon.

The presence of this volcanic suite, only ~20 m.y. older than the 251 Ma, flood-volcanic sequence, is an extremely provocative result, inasmuch as hundreds of exploration drill holes in the Noril'sk area, and throughout the Siberian platform, have encountered only Tungusskaya Series coal-bearing sedimentary rocks in this stratigraphic/time interval. These data support arguments that subduction/underthrusting from the West Siberian Lowland under the northwest margin of the Siberian craton took place in Late Permian time.

The isotopic data obtained for the xenolith suite indicate that the upper part of the crystalline basement under the northwest margin of the Siberian craton is composed of Late Proterozoic (Riphean) rocks-alkaline granites, trondhjemites, crystalline schists, gneisses, and amphibolites-with much in common with rocks of the Central zone of the Taymyr folded area, which has been interpreted as an accretionary block formed and joined to Siberia in Late Riphean to Vendian time.

Measured isotopic characteristics for the Precambrian crystalline basement, and the Paleozoic sedimentary rocks that host the ore-bearing intrusions in the Noril'sk region, provide parameters for quantitative modeling of crustal contamination during evolution of the Siberian flood-volcanic rocks and related intrusions, both while en route to the surface and at the site of intrusion emplacement.  相似文献

澜沧江构造带南段的古老变质岩系因临沧花岗岩基的大面积出露而呈零星分散状出露,该地区是否存在前寒武纪结晶基底和变质岩系的精确时代以及澜沧江构造带变质岩系的变质时限等问题还不是很清楚。本文以变质岩系为研究对象,挑选出锆石颗粒进行U-Pb SHRIMP定年,获得锆石核部U-Pb年龄是1802Ma、1404Ma、1092Ma、906~961Ma、812Ma和727~623Ma,时代为古元古代、中元古代和新元古代,揭示研究区存在前寒武纪的结晶基底,三叠纪(~230Ma)发育区域性岩浆作用事件,破坏改造了其结晶基底;昌宁-耈街剖面近澜沧江岸边花岗质片麻岩的锆石U-Pb谐和年龄为73.9±1.8Ma(MSWD=1.3,N=6),记录澜沧江构造带变质岩经历了晚白垩世变质事件。综合研究认为澜沧江构造带南段存在区域性前寒武纪结晶基底,构造带中昌宁段之变质岩系的变质时间为晚白垩世(85~74Ma),并一直持续到36Ma,约32Ma之后构造带发生走滑运动,变质事件明显早于走滑运动事件。  相似文献

本次研究从华北克拉通五台地区基底中识别出一套-25亿年的基性侵入体(主要为岩株)。其中,龙王堂岩株出露面积约5km2,侵入新太古界五台群台怀亚群,岩石类型主要为粗粒辉长岩。一条北东向基性岩墙侵入该岩株,岩墙边部发育明显的冷凝边,岩性为中粒辉长岩。LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb同位素年代学分析显示龙王堂粗粒辉长岩岩株形成时代为新太古代晚期(-2520Ma),中粒辉长岩岩墙形成时代为晚三叠世(-230Ma)。锆石原位Lu-Hf同位素分析显示龙王堂岩株具有正的εHf(t)值(4.75-7.95,峰值为6.3),其亏损地幔Hf模式年龄与岩浆年龄接近(tDM=2.64-2.53Ga),指示龙王堂粗粒辉长岩的原始岩浆来自于亏损地幔端元。全岩主微量元素地球化学分析显示龙王堂粗粒辉长岩表现出与洋岛玄武岩(OIB)相似的地球化学特征,并经历了橄榄石和单斜辉石等的结晶分异。结合前人研究成果,本文认为龙王堂新太古代晚期辉长岩岩株与区域上绿岩带(五台群)及同时期花岗侵入体形成时代接近,可能共同指示早期地幔直接分异形成陆壳物质的过程。这可能与俯冲构造体制不同,而与地幔柱作用产生的岩浆特征更为相似。  相似文献

本文分析了发生在塔里木北缘兴地断裂带的多期构造—岩浆演化特征。在此基础上,对三件前寒武纪火成岩样品进行了LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb定年,对兴地断裂带韧性变形构造进行了运动学分析。研究表明,兴地断裂带至少经历了4期地质构造演化; 其中,前寒武纪有两期。第一期发生在前南华纪,以强烈的挤压褶皱、韧性剪切变形和岩浆活动为特色; 第二期发生在南华纪—震旦纪,以广泛发育的双峰式火成岩、复式岩流和基性岩墙群为特征,伴随大规模冰川作用和地壳沉陷,对应Rodinia超大陆的裂解。LA-ICP-MS法锆石U-Pb年龄测定表明,辉长岩中的俘获锆石保留了3114±20Ma、2509±42Ma、1916±36Ma等多期古构造演化和岩浆活动信息,揭示研究区深部存在一个中-新太古代和古元古代的基底。双峰式火成岩测年数据证实,区内在820~800Ma(花岗岩脉,798±7Ma; 辉长辉绿岩墙,816±15Ma)发生过强烈的裂谷—岩浆活动。根据构造交切关系,兴地断裂带发生过两期前南华纪韧性变形;变形时代尚不清楚。运动学分析表明,第一期为朝北逆冲的推覆变形,第二期为右旋走滑变形。南华纪以来,区域变质和韧性变形微弱,为韧脆性变形。  相似文献

文章报道了东昆仑夏日哈木铜镍矿成矿岩体的岩相学、锆石U-Pb年代学、全岩地球化学以及锆石Hf同位素资料,以确定该岩体的形成时代、岩石成因及其形成的构造环境。夏日哈木Ⅰ号镁铁质超镁铁质岩体位于昆中基底隆起花岗岩带中段,北侧靠近昆北断裂。岩体走向NEE,剖面呈平缓的“岩盆状”,地表出露面积约0.7 km2。该杂岩体主要由辉长苏长岩、斜方辉石岩、橄榄辉石岩、斜长二辉橄榄岩和方辉橄榄岩组成,橄榄岩相和辉石岩相是主要的Cu、Ni赋矿岩相。镁铁质超镁铁质岩体主量元素具有低硅(w(SiO2)=36.68%~52.58%)、低钛(w(TiO2)=0.13%~0.47%)、高镁(w(MgO)=10.91%~35.81%)、贫碱(w(K2O+Na2O)=0.26%~1.95%)的特征,属亚碱性系列岩石,m/f为3.88~6.29,属铁质超基性岩类(m/f=2~6.5)。岩石稀土元素球粒陨石标准化配分模式为轻稀土富集型,(La/Yb)N=1.44~2.98,Eu异常不明显,相似的稀土元素配分模式说明岩体的同源性。岩石富集大离子亲石元素(Rb、Th、U、K),相对亏损高场强元素(Nb、Ta)。岩体中存在新元古代花岗岩的捕虏体以及La/Yb、Ce/Yb、Th/Yb、Nb/La、La/Sm比值显示岩体经历了有限的地壳混染。辉长苏长岩锆石的LA-MC ICPMS、U-Pb年代学研究表明,岩体形成年龄为(423±1) Ma,MSWD=0.14,属晚志留世。锆石的176Hf/177Hf比值为0.282 628~0.282 833,相应的εHf(t)均为正值(4.0~10.9),Lu-Hf的单阶段模式年龄(tDM1)为610~875 Ma,平均值为788 Ma,大于锆石U-Pb年龄。研究认为,岩体的岩浆源区主要为亏损地幔,可能有早期流体交代的富集岩石圈地幔组分的加入和地壳物质的混染。结合区域构造演化,文章认为岩体形成于碰撞后伸展的构造环境,可能与俯冲板片的断离作用有关。岩浆演化过程中橄榄石和斜方辉石的分离结晶作用和地壳中硫的加入可能是促使岩浆体系达到硫饱和的主要机制。  相似文献

A structural-geochemical study has been conducted on the dikes of presumably Devonian mafic rocks confined to a small graben filled in with Riphean sedimentary rocks hosted by Early Precambrian granite-gneiss of the Murmansk block. It has been demonstrated that the dolerite dikes of this region can be considered as manifestations of trap magmatism whose products fill in the foundation of the East Barents riftogenic downfold. In turn, manifestations of alkaline and kimberlite rocks of the White Sea region are confined to the peripheral portion of the trap magnetism area. Zircons from dolerite transecting Late Riphean sediments examined in two laboratories have a concordant age of 2.74–2.72 Ba, while zircons from a similar dike located in granite-gneiss of the basement are characterized by an age range of 2700–155 Ma, and the concordant age based on 4 points is 790 Ma. All these factors indicate that the age determinations of the mafic rocks are ambiguous, particularly in the zone of transition from the center of the trap province to its periphery, where alkaline magmatism is observed.  相似文献

Combined U-Pb zircon and 40Ar/39Ar sanidine data from volcanic rocks within or adjacent to the Geysers geothermal reservoir constrain the timing of episodic eruption events and the pre-eruptive magma history. Zircon U-Pb concordia intercept model ages (corrected for initial 230Th disequilibrium) decrease as predicted from stratigraphic and regional geological relationships (1σ analytical error): 2.47 ± 0.04 Ma (rhyolite of Pine Mountain), 1.38 ± 0.01 Ma (rhyolite of Alder Creek), 1.33 ± 0.04 Ma (rhyodacite of Cobb Mountain), 1.27 ± 0.03 Ma (dacite of Cobb Valley), and 0.94 ± 0.01 Ma (dacite of Tyler Valley). A significant (∼0.2-0.3 Ma) difference between these ages and sanidine 40Ar/39Ar ages measured for the same samples demonstrates that zircon crystallized well before eruption. Zircons U-Pb ages from the underlying main-phase Geysers Plutonic Complex (GPC) are indistinguishable from those of the Cobb Mountain volcanics. While this is in line with compositional evidence that the GPC fed the Cobb Mountain eruptions, the volcanic units conspicuously lack older (∼1.8 Ma) zircons from the shallowest part of the GPC. Discontinuous zircon age populations and compositional relationships in the volcanic and plutonic samples are incompatible with zircon residing in a single long-lived upper crustal magma chamber. Instead we favor a model in which zircons were recycled by remelting of just-solidified rocks during episodic injection of more mafic magmas. This is consistent with thermochronologic evidence that the GPC cooled below 350° C at the time the Cobb Mountain volcanics were erupted.  相似文献

Significant breakthroughs of shale gas exploration have been made in Lower Cambrian and Sinian shale in the north margin of the Yangtze Block, South China. The drill wells with industrial gas flow located in the southern margin of the Huangling dome. Base on the geological survey, 2D seismic, geochronological and drill wells data, the tectonic evolution history of Huangling dome was studied, and its control effect on the preservation condition of shale gas was discussed. The result shows that the Huangling dome might undergo four tectonic stages: (1) About 800 Ma, granite intrusion in the Huangling dome basement, primarily of granites replaced metamorphism rocks; (2) 800–200 Ma, no significant tectonic movement with slowly buried history; (3) From 200 Ma, multi-phase uplift and the sedimentary rocks was eroded in the core of the Huangling dome. Shale gas in the Cambrian and Sinian strata was well preserved in the margin of the Huangling dome as the following reasons: (1) The Sinian shale was buried about 7.8 km in-depth during Middle Jurassic, source rocks have a suitable thermal maturity for shale gas; (2) The rigid basement of the Huangling dome was mainly composed by homogeneity granite, without intensive deformation. As the main challenges of the widely distributed Lower Cambrian and Sinian shale are high-maturity and intensive deformation, a geological unit with a dome probably is a favorable zone for the old age shale gas. Therefore, it indicates that the adjacent zone of the Xuefengshan, Shennongjia and Hannan are the geological units with a dome and probably have potentials for the exploration of shale in the Lower Cambrian and Sinian.  相似文献
