ADCIRC, a finite element circulation model for shelves, coasts and estuaries, will be used for variational data assimilation. The nonlinear Euler–Lagrange (EL) problem will be solved using the iterated indirect representer algorithm. This algorithm makes such large, nonlinear but functionally smooth optimization problems feasible by iterating on linear approximations of the nonlinear problem (Picard iterations) and by making preconditioned searches in the “data subspace” at each iterate. Before solving the nonlinear EL using such Picard iterations, it essential that the iteration scheme be carefully examined within the framework of the nonassimilative or forward problem.The purpose of this paper is (1) to detail a Picard iteration procedure for ADCIRC, including the problematic bottom friction term; (2) to examine the ability of the iteration scheme to recover the nonlinear forward solution from deficient background fields; and (3) to present a study of different interpolation methods for reducing the memory/disk requirements of the iteration scheme. The iteration scheme is shown to be quite robust in its ability to recover the nonlinear solution from a variety of deficient background fields. A new cubic Hermitian interpolation method is shown to be a more effective alternative to standard linear interpolation for reducing memory/disk requirements, especially for high frequency overtides.  相似文献

The proposals made for improving ground resolution in satellite microwave radiometry primarily seek to sharpen the main beam and refine hardware. However, deformation and changes in electromagnetic characteristics with scanning still significantly affect the antenna patterns of large-aperture antennas. This paper proposes an advanced method with two improvements. The first improvement is related to the method used to obtain a point spreading function (PSF) filter at every spot of interest in the scanning footprint. The method estimates only a typical PSF of the footprint just below the satellite orbit and applies rotation by the angular change that occurs as the footprint moves and rotates with scanning. The second improvement is to introduce a projection onto convex sets (POCS) method into the iterative calculation to solve the inverse problem and to find the most likely estimate of ground information. Two pieces of a priori information are also introduced in the iteration to achieve rapid convergence and reasonable estimation: The brightness temperature of the ground surface is 1) smooth and 2) nonnegative. Correlations between estimated results are also taken between neighboring footprints after retrieval, and convergence is easily attained in the iteration. As no practical satellite data were available, an observational simulation was used as a case study at the lowest frequency (6.9 GHz), which has the poorest resolution. In this case study, ice margins were clearly retrieved by the algorithm when ice floes were 50 km or more apart. Irregularities like ringing, unreasonable undulation, or unreasonable values have occasionally appeared with the current method, but are absent with the proposed improved inversion method used in combination with a POCS method.  相似文献

A class of El Nino atmospheric physics oscillation model is considered. The El Nino atmospheric physics oscillation is an abnormal phenomenon involved in the tropical Pacific ocean-atmosphere interactions. The conceptual oscillator model should consider the variations of both the eastern and westem Pacific anomaly patterns. An El Nino atmospheric physics model is proposed using a method for the variational iteration theory. Using the variational iteration method, the approximate expansions of the solution of corresponding problem are constructed. That is, firstly, introducing a set of functional and accounting their variationals, the Lagrange multiplicators are counted, and then the variational iteration is defined, finally, the approximate solution is obtained. From approximate expansions of the solution, the zonal sea surface temperature anomaly in the equatorial eastern Pacific and the thermocline depth anomaly of the seaair oscillation for El Nino atmospheric physics model can be analyzed. El Nino is a very complicated natural phenomenon. Hence basic models need to be reduced for the sea-air oscillator and are solved. The variational iteration is a simple and valid approximate method.  相似文献

The existing methods of downward continuation of potential field cannot be used to continue the aeromagnetic data to the marine surface because of the limited continuation distance. An iteration method for the downward continuation of potential field with a much larger continuation distance has been developed, which can continue the aeromagnetic data to the marine surface and get the marine - magnetic chart with the same scale as the aeromagnetic data. This downward continuation method will greatly raise the ef- ficiency of marine - magnetic investigation. The principle of the iteration method is presented. The method is demonstrated on synthetic models and real aeromagnetic data. Also, the error brought by continuation is discussed. The efficiency of the iteration method for the downward continuation of potential field is compared with the fast fourier transform (FFT) method, the former is much better than the latter.  相似文献

An introduced turbot population was used to establish families and to estimate genetic parameters of the offspring. However, there is a lack of pedigree information, and common environmental effects can be introduced when each full-sib family is raised in a single tank. Therefore, in the genetic evaluation, SSRs(simple sequence repeats) were used to reconstruct the pedigree and to calculate molecular relatedness between individuals, and the early mixed-family culture model was used to remove the impact of the common environmental effects. After100 d of early mixed culture, twenty SSRs were used to cluster 20 families and to calculate paired molecular relationships(n=880). Additive genetic matrices were constructed using molecular relatedness(MR) and pedigree reconstruction(PR) and were then applied to the same animal model to estimate genetic parameters. Based on PR, the heritabilities for body weight and body length were 0.214±0.124 and 0.117±0.141, and based on MR they were 0.101±0.031 and 0.102±0.034, respectively. Cross validation showed that the accuracies of the estimated breeding values based on MR(body weight and body length of 0.717±0.045 and 0.629±0.141, respectively) were higher than those of PR(body weight and body length of 0.692±0.052 and 0.615±0.060, respectively). The MR method ensure availability of all genotyped selection candidates, thereby improving the accuracy of the breeding value estimation.  相似文献

Visual observations of wave height are still the main source of statistical information available for the prediction of extreme wave conditions to be used in the design of ship structures. However, the observations need to be calibrated with measurements. Zonal recovery is a prompt escape towards the sea performed by sandhoppers under stressful environmental conditions. Differences in habitat features, meteorological conditions during the tests and morphological characteristics of the individuals are all factors affecting orientation. This paper deals with the temporal variation of the orientation of a sandhopper sample, taking into account the effect of some environmental and morphological variables on these changes. The directions chosen by single animals in repeated trials under natural conditions were analysed, using longitudinal circular data. The longitudinal analysis highlights several details about three different kinds of intrapopulation variation due to: sun, wind and eye left/right asymmetry. A clear link between the successive directional responses is demonstrated as well as modulation of behaviour with time: the animals stabilise orientation towards a certain direction in successive trials. The use of longitudinal sets of data in orientation studies produces a good synthesis of directional behaviour, due to several advantages of this kind of analysis. These include the fact that the association between successive behaviours and variability through repeated trials is taken into account; a progressive improvement, due to the integration of information from previous experiences, can be detected; the role of the main cues and factors affecting orientation is more accurately defined; and more parsimonious statistical models can be used to fit the data.  相似文献

水声信道的多径时延扩展和时变特性对信道估计和均衡技术的研究带来了很大的挑战,同时也决定了水声信道是一种时频双扩展信道,提出一种水声OFDM通信系统中基于软信息的迭代信道估计技术,利用基于复指数基扩展模型(CE-BEM)进行信道估计。OFDM系统本身可以消除由于多径引起的符号间干扰(ISI)。基于导频的BEM信道估计,可以实现对时变信道的估计,结合基于软信息迭代的迭代均衡模块,将每次迭代生成的符号软判决信息作为辅助导频用于信道估计。同时,为了防止由于信道时变引起的信道子载波间干扰(ICI)对导频符号的影响,采用基于保护间隔的导频插入法插入导频。仿真结果显示基于BEM的软信息迭代信道估计性能较非迭代信道估计时明显提升。  相似文献

目前,根据装备试验要求,利用北斗卫星导航系统全面替换靶场测量装备中所使用的GPS已成为必须开展的工作。如果直接替换,则现有测量系统需重新进行测试,代价较高。为此,结合靶场测量装备实际情况,设计一种基于北斗卫星导航系统,集定位、测姿、授时为一体的便携式信息采集分发系统,系统具备多种对外数据传输接口,无需对现有装备进行较大改造,即可全面实现北斗取代GPS的目的。  相似文献

The material of marine sediments is commonly derived from multiple sources or processes. Consequently, individual sediment samples can be viewed as mixtures of two or more distinct geochemical subpopulations. Certain quantitative procedures such as threshold value analysis are capable of isolating and identifying the subpopulations that are present within a suite of sediment samples through an analysis of bulk sediment compositional data. Thus, these methods are useful in mineral exploration programs because they facilitate the task of discriminating between samples containing background versus anomalous chemical signals. This study reports the development and testing of computer software (ProbabilityGrapher) for threshold value analysis using a probability graphing technique. This program is designed for microcomputers so that it can be readily applied in field situations where the rapid in situ reduction and interpretation of geochemical data is important to the planning and continuation of an exploration survey. The software can also be used in concert with the QLM software package previously developed for Q‐mode factor analysis and linear modeling, thus providing a powerful combination of data reduction and interpretation tools for investigating sediment composition information.  相似文献

作者指出异常事件在数据中形成局部的高频信号 ,运用经验模态分解 (EMD)方法分析这种存在异常事件干扰的数据 ,就会产生本征模函数 (IMF)的频率混叠现象 ,而造成物理过程的重叠 ,使得难以用时间过程曲线表现特定的物理过程。这一问题是 EMD方法中尚未妥善解决的问题。为解决这一问题 ,作者利用干扰信号极值及其两边的极大与极小值位置与原始数据有明显对应关系的特征 ,将相关 IMF中的异常信息直接滤除 ,再用 Spline插值方法弥补滤除时段的数据 ,得到重新拟合的该 IMF数据。采用这种方法可以提取出异常信号 ,提取的精度与异常信号的时段长度有关。而且 ,拟合结果消除了异常干扰 ,可以将该 IMF与其余 IMF一起叠加成没有异常干扰的数据。将滤除了异常干扰的数据再次进行 EMD分解 ,可以得到新的 IMF系列 ,而它与不加校正的分解结果有相当大的差别 ,可靠地反映了真实物理过程。结果表明 ,只有在有效滤除异常干扰的情况下才能获得可靠的 IMF系列 ,并准确地描述各种尺度的现象 ;消除了异常干扰的 IMF可以任意单独或组合使用 ,表现各种时间尺度的变化与过程 ;所讨论的方法只适合异常时段较小的情形。对于异常时段接近或大于正常变化周期的干扰还需要探讨其他方法  相似文献

To analyze the stress wave propagation associated with the vortex-induced vibration (VIV) of a marine riser, this paper employed a multi-signal complex exponential method. This method is an extension of the classical Prony''s method which decomposes a complicated signal into a number of complex exponential components. Because the proposed method processes multiple signals simultaneously, it can estimate the "global" dominating frequencies (poles) shared by those signals. The complex amplitude (residues) corresponding to the estimated frequencies for those signals is also obtained in the process. As the signals were collected at different locations along the axial direction of a marine riser, the phenomena of the stress wave propagation could be analyzed through the obtained residues of those signals. The Norwegian Deepwater Program (NDP) high mode test data were utilized in the numerical studies, including data sets in both the in-line (IL) and cross-flow (CF) directions. It was found that the most dominant component in the IL direction has its stress wave propagation along the riser being dominated by a standing wave, while that in the CF direction dominated by a traveling wave.  相似文献

The temporal variation of the total dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) content in the western North Pacific is investigated by comparing the DIC distribution obtained from the data sets of three different periods, the GEOSECS data observed in 1973, the CO2 dynamics Cruise data observed in 1982, and recent Japanese data sets observed during the early 1990s. The overall feature of the signal of temporal DIC change during 1973 and early 1990s agreed with that of former studies, and did not significantly change with the calculation scheme (the grid-selection method vs. the multiple regression method). The observed increase in DIC among the different time scales showed a good inner consistency, which also indicates the stability of the method used in the DIC change calculation. The apparent rate of increase of the DIC inventory in the upper 1000 m water column, however, differed significantly by the data set used for the calculation: It was 5.6±2.4 g C/m2/year, based on the data comparison between 1982 and the early 1990s, while it became 7.6±2.4 g C/m2/year when based on the data between 1973 and the early 1990s. This result provides us an information about the data-dependency on the former estimation of temporal DIC change.  相似文献

介绍了国家气候中心(NCC)“全球海洋资料四维同化系统”(简称NCC-GODAS).该系统包含观测资料预处理系统、插值分析系统和所应用的动力模式.插值分析系统采用四维同化技术方案,在时间上设置一个4周的窗口,将此窗口之内的观测资料以一定的权重插入插值分析系统,在空间上采用三维变分方案.海洋动力模式为“九五”期间LASG研制的L30T63OGCM 1 0版本.文中考察了该系统从1982年到2003年3月在热带太平洋的部分同化分析结果,并与NCEP的再分析资料和EMC/NCEP的太平洋区域海洋资料同化系统的结果进行了对比分析.结果显示,该系统的同化结果(如SST,SSTA,Nino指数,次表层海温变化等)与NCEP的同期同化结果具有很好的一致性.同时,该系统得出的海洋同化资料气候场与海洋模式气候场相比,有显著的改进.表明该系统具有较好的同化能力,其同化结果可为海-气耦合模式进行季节和跨季节的气候预测业务提供可信的海洋初始场资料,同时还可以为相关研究提供海洋分析场.  相似文献

A multiple attribute risk assessment approach using a fuzzy inference system is developed in this work. The approach is based on the use of fuzzy sets, a rule base and a fuzzy inference engine. Traditional input probabilities and consequences used in risk assessment are represented by fuzzy sets to take into account uncertainties associated with the assignment of their values. The output risk values can be presented as crisp values or fuzzy sets with associated degree of membership. The fuzzy inference system FIS is used as an alternative approach to qualitative risk matrix techniques currently used in many industries and by ship classification societies. Two approaches for fuzzy inference are adopted. These include the Mamdani approach in which output risk values are fuzzy sets and the Sugeno method of fuzzy inference, in which output risk values are constant or linear.The use of a fuzzy set approach is particularly suited for handling multiple attribute risk problems with imprecise data. It improves upon existing qualitative methods and allows the ranking of risk alternatives based on a unified fuzzy risk index measure. Results show that while the Mamdani method is intuitive and well suited to human input, the Sugeno method is computationally more efficient and guarantees continuity of the final risk output surface. Results also show that computed risk values using a fuzzy risk index measure are consistent with those obtained using a qualitative risk matrix approach. The proposed methodology is also applicable to other ship operating modes such as transit in open sea and/or entering/leaving port. A case study for a liquefied natural gas LNG ship loading/offloading at the terminal is presented to demonstrate the developed approach capability.  相似文献

为了提高海洋观测研究浮标在位运行的安全性,自主设计了一种北斗/GPS双模定位信标。该信标采用传统的GPS技术进行定位结合“北斗”卫星特有的报文通信和定位功能,通过解决传统GPS信号盲区问题,为中国近海海洋观测研究浮标安全运行提供了更加有力的保障,同时提高了数据保密能力。该系统采用外部供电和内部自主供电相结合的模式,即使外部供电中断,也可保证正常运行不低于1 a,而且基本上不需要对信标进行专门维护,大大降低了运行和维护成本。与该信标配套的岸站管理系统具备发送和短信和邮件报警的功能,可实现浮标运行状态实时监控。  相似文献

Wavelet Analysis provides a new orthogonal basis set which is localized in both physical space and Fourier transform space. Empirical Orthogonal Functions (EOFs), on the other hand, provide a global representation of data sets. Here we investigate the various ways in which one can combine these basis sets for optimal representation of data. EOFs represent the global large scale information and wavelet analysis are used to supplement this large scale information with local fine scale information. Here we begin to explore the application of these two basis sets for outputs from an Ocean General Circulation Model and we explore various applications, including data assimilation. 在测量海底声学参数的实际海洋环境中,声源和接收位置的距离这两个参数常常无法准确测量,在这种情况下,需要采用匹配场反演方法来估计海底的声学参数。一般情况下,匹配场反演方法可以归纳为2个组成部分,即海洋声场的声学预报模型和搜索控制策略。文中采用受控制的穷举方法作为搜索控制策略,对1996年中美远黄海试验的实验数据进行了匹配场反演试验,用以测定海底参数,由此得到的海底声学参数与实验中测量的声场衰减进行对比,一致性很好。  相似文献
