Results from real‐time dynamic substructuring (RTDS) tests are compared with results from shake table tests performed on a two‐storey steel building structure model. At each storey, the structural system consists of a cantilevered steel column resisting lateral loads in bending. In two tests, a slender diagonal tension‐only steel bracing member was added at the first floor to obtain an unsymmetrical system with highly variable stiffness. Only the first‐storey structural components were included in the RTDS test program and a Rosenbrock‐W linearly implicit integration scheme was adopted for the numerical solution. The tests were performed under seismic ground motions exhibiting various amplitude levels and frequency contents to develop first and second mode‐dominated responses as well as elastic and inelastic responses. A chirp signal was also used. Coherent results were obtained between the shake table and the RTDS testing techniques, indicating that RTDS testing methods can be used to successfully reproduce both the linear and nonlinear seismic responses of ductile structural steel seismic force resisting systems. The time delay introduced by actuator‐control systems was also studied and a novel adaptive compensation scheme is proposed. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Structural damage in buildings designed according to the dissipative design philosophy can be significant, even under moderate earthquakes. Repair of damaged members is an expensive operation and may affect building use, which in turn increases the overall economic loss. If damage can be isolated to certain dissipative members realized to be removable following an earthquake, the repair costs and time of interruption of building use can be reduced. Dual structural configurations, composed of a rigid subsystem with removable ductile elements and a flexible subsystem, are shown to be appropriate for the application of removable dissipative element concept. Eccentrically braced frames with removable links connected to the beams using flush end‐plate bolted connections are investigated as a practical way of implementing this design concept. High‐strength steel is used for members outside links in order to enhance global seismic performance of the structure by constraining plastic deformations to removable links and reducing permanent drifts of the structure. 为得到可靠的试验数据,对黄土场地典型断面地铁车站大型振动台试验方案进行设计与研究。根据试验目的和特点,提出黄土场地与地铁车站动力相互作用模型体系相似设计原则,并基于Bockingham的π定理对模型结构进行相似设计;通过室内试验研究模型材料配合比、力学特性及模型制作技术;采用有限元-无限元耦合数值建模方法,分析黄土场地地铁车站地震响应,基于数值模拟结果对振动台试验中的传感器布设方案进行研究;根据西安及周边地区地震环境特点,确定振动台试验输入地震动与加载方案。研究结果表明,试验模型结构宏观震害与数值模拟结果较吻合。本研究可为黄土场地地铁车站、地铁隧道及地下商业街等地下结构振动台试验方案设计与深入研究提供参考。  相似文献

A novel methodology for the solution of the 2D shallow water equations is proposed. The algorithm is based on a fractional step decomposition of the original system in (1) a convective prediction, (2) a convective correction, and (3) a diffusive correction step. The convective components are solved using a Marching in Space and Time (MAST) procedure, that solves a sequence of small ODEs systems, one for each computational cell, ordered according to the cell value of a scalar approximated potential. The scalar potential is sought after computing first the minimum of a functional via the solution of a large linear system and then refining locally the optimum search. Model results are compared with the experimental data of two laboratory tests and with the results of other simulations carried out for the same tests by different authors. A comparison with the analytical solution of the oblique jump test has been also considered. Numerical results of the proposed scheme are in good agreement with measured data, as well as with analytical and higher order approximation methods results. The growth of the CPU time versus the cell number is investigated successively refining the elements of an initially coarse mesh. The CPU specific time, per element and per time step, is found out to be almost constant and no evidence of Courant–Friedrichs–Levi (CFL) number limitation has been detected in all the numerical experiments.  相似文献

An effective solution method for studying the pounding response of two or more adjacent buildings during earthquakes is presented. The method is based on the Lagrange multiplier approach by which the geometric compatibility conditions due to contact are enforced. The energy and momentum balance criteria for the contacting bodies are satisfied according to the laws of impact with proper post-impact conditions, which can also take into account local energy absorption phenomena during impact. A solution scheme is proposed which can be incorporated easily into existing computer programs for static and dynamic analysis of structures. The applicability of the algorithm is illustrated in a number of selected sample problems and the correlation of numerical results to analytical solutions, whenever possible, is very satisfactory.  相似文献

近年来,民用航空制造业的快速发展给大柱距空间网架结构带来新的契机。本文针对某大柱距厂房设计了无柱间支撑、柱间钢支撑和柱间消能支撑3种抗侧力结构体系。在此基础上,分别建立了3种结构体系的三维整体有限元模型,通过优化设计确立了钢支撑和消能支撑的具体设计参数,并进行了多遇地震作用下的弹性时程对比分析。最后,建立了结构弹塑性分析的纤维模型,对3种结构体系进行了罕遇地震作用下的弹塑性时程分析,对比研究了3种结构体系在大震作用下的倒塌机制。结果表明:采用纤维模型能够较为精确地进行结构的弹塑性时程分析;相较于不加柱间支撑结构体系,柱间钢支撑和柱间消能支撑结构体系在多遇地震作用下的结构层间位移分别衰减约32%和64%,在罕遇地震作用下的结构层间位移分别衰减约12%和46%,且均具有更好的倒塌机制。本文可供大柱距空间结构的设计与分析参考和借鉴。  相似文献

A numerical solution based on the Steffensen stable point iterative method is proposed to resolve the transcendental frequency equation of a stay cable-damper system. The frequency equation, which considers clamped supports and fl exural rigidity of the cable, is intended to investigate the infl uence of the parameters of the cable damper system on its dynamic characteristics. Two factors involved in the design and construction phases, the damping coeffi cient induced by external dampers and the cable tension, are the focus of this study. Their impact on modal frequencies and damping ratios in these two phases of cable-damper systems are investigated by resolving the equation with the proposed solution. It is shown that the damping coeffi cient and cable tension exert more noticeable effects on the modal damping ratios than on the modal frequencies of stay cable-damper systems, and the two factors can serve as design variables in the design phase and as adjustment factors in the construction phase. On the basis of the results, a roadmap for system-level optimal design of stay cable-damper systems that can achieve global optimal vibration suppression for the entire bridge is proposed and discussed.  相似文献

Novel self-lubricating materials are currently being proposed to be used in sliding isolation systems such as the curved surface sliding isolator system, or pendulum bearing system, for the protection of buildings and structures. The current codes for anti-seismic devices are focused on the evaluation of the performance of the whole isolation system; as a consequence, a reliable procedure for the pre-assessment of the material combinations of sliding interfaces is currently missing. Therefore in this paper, an experimental methodology is proposed for the characterization of self-lubricating materials through tests on small-scale specimens performed using customized equipment able to reproduce the operational conditions of real isolation systems as per contact pressure, sliding velocity, temperature and slide path. The testing sequence has been designed in order to evaluate the sliding properties of the material in terms of static and dynamic coefficient of friction and wear resistance. Examples are reported for the assessment of two self-lubricating materials with different sliding characteristics. In order to validate the method and to confirm the reliability of extrapolating the results to real working conditions, prototypes of pendulum isolation systems incorporating the assessed materials have been tested according to the AASHTO (Guide specifications for seismic isolation design, 2nd edn. American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, Washington, DC, 1999) specifications and the relevant dynamic properties assessed from the Horizontal Load—Displacement loops. The experimental outcomes confirmed that the frictional characteristics provided by the proposed procedure can be reliably used in the design of seismically isolated structures.  相似文献

考虑到多维地震输入对网架结构的不利影响,基于形状记忆合金超弹性,研制出一种兼具自复位、高耗能及放大功能于一体的形状记忆合金复合黏滞阻尼器(Hybrid Shape Memory Alloy Viscous Dampers,简称HSMAVD),并通过试验研究该阻尼器在循环荷载作用下的力学性能;然后以平面四角锥网架模型为基础,将该阻尼器替换部分网架结构杆件,并分析该阻尼器减震控制效果。结果表明形状记忆合金与黏滞阻尼器复合后具有良好的协同工作能力,可有效发挥形状记忆合金的超弹性和黏滞阻尼器的速度相关特性,使其具有稳定的滞回性能和良好的耗能能力;采用阻尼杆件替换原杆件的方法既能对结构进行有效的减震控制,又不改变原有的结构形式,是一种优越的减震控制方法,并为HSMAVD被动控制系统在结构抗震中的实际应用提供新思路。  相似文献

<正>This paper describes shaking table tests of a 1:12 scale model of a special concentrically braced steel frame with pinned connections,which was fabricated according to a one-bay braced frame selected from a typical main factory building of a large thermal power plant.In order to investigate the seismic performance of this type of structure,several ground motion accelerations with different levels for seismic intensityⅧ,based on the Chinese Code for Seismic Design of Buildings,were selected to excite the model.The results show that the design methods of the members and the connections are adequate and that the structural system will perform well in regions of high seismicity.In addition to the tests,numerical simulations were also conducted and the results showed good agreement with the test results.Thus,the numerical model is shown to be accurate and the beam element can be used to model this structural system.  相似文献

An explicit unconditionally stable algorithm for hybrid tests,which is developed from the traditional HHT-α algorithm,is proposed.The unconditional stability is first proven by the spectral radius method for a linear system.If the value of α is selected within [-0.5,0],then the algorithm is shown to be unconditionally stable.Next,the root locus method for a discrete dynamic system is applied to analyze the stability of a nonlinear system.The results show that the proposed method is conditionally stable for dynamic systems with stiffness hardening.To improve the stability of the proposed method,the structure stiffness is then identified and updated.Both numerical and pseudo-dynamic tests on a structure with the collision effect prove that the stiffness updating method can effectively improve stability.  相似文献

斜拉桥在横桥向采用塔-梁、墩-梁固结的约束体系,导致其整体刚度增加,地震惯性力增大,给边墩及其基础的抗震设计造成困难。分别采用位移相关型(方案1)和速度相关型(方案2)两类减震装置对一座斜拉桥的横桥向进行了减震研究。方案1在边墩-主梁间设置位移相关型减震装置,并对其屈服荷载进行了参数分析;方案2对速度相关型减震装置的安装位置和数量进行了优化分析,并对其参数取值进行了参数分析;对横桥向固结体系和减震体系的地震反应进行了对比。结果表明:地震作用下两类减震装置发生滞回变形,延长了结构在横桥向的周期,有效降低了边墩的地震剪力和弯矩反应;横桥向墩-梁间的相对位移会增大,可通过减震装置参数的选取将其控制在合理的范围内;塔底的地震剪力和弯矩反应变化不明显。2种方案均可用于斜拉桥横向减震。  相似文献

A new approach is presented for the numerical solution of the complete 1D Saint-Venant equations. At each time step, the governing system of partial differential equations (PDEs) is split, using a fractional time step methodology, into a convective prediction system and a diffusive correction system. Convective prediction system is further split into a convective prediction and a convective correction system, according to a specified approximated potential. If a scalar exact potential of the flow field exists, correction vanishes and the solution of the convective correction system is the same solution of the prediction system. Both convective prediction and correction systems are shown to have at each x − t point a single characteristic line, and a corresponding eigenvalue equal to the local velocity. A marching in space and time (MAST) technique is used for the solution of the two systems. MAST solves a system of two ordinary differential equations (ODEs) in each computational cell, using for the time discretization a self-adjusting fraction of the original time step. The computational cells are ordered and solved according to the decreasing value of the potential in the convective prediction step and to the increasing value of the same potential in the convective correction step. The diffusive correction system is solved using an implicit scheme, that leads to the solution of a large linear system, with the same order of the cell number, but sparse, symmetric and well conditioned. The numerical model shows unconditional stability with regard of the Courant–Friedrichs–Levi (CFL) number, requires no special treatment of the source terms and a computational effort almost proportional to the cell number. Several tests have been carried out and results of the proposed scheme are in good agreement with analytical solutions, as well as with experimental data.  相似文献

While seasonal time-varying models should generally be used to predict the daily concentration of ground-level ozone given its strong seasonal cycles, the sudden switching of models according to their designated period in an annual operational forecasting system may affect their performance, especially during the season’s transitional period in which the starting date and duration time can vary from year to year. This paper studies the effectiveness of an adaptive Bayesian Model Averaging scheme with the support of a transitional prediction model in solving the problem. The scheme continuously evaluates the probabilities of all the ozone prediction models (ozone season, nonozone season, and the transitional period) in a forecasting system, which are then used to provide a weighted average forecast. The scheme has been adopted in predicting the daily maximum of 8-h averaged ozone concentration in Macau for a period of 2 years (2008 and 2009), with results proved to be satisfactory.  相似文献

针对电磁勘探中的混场源输入条件,提出了一种时空阵列混场源电磁勘探方法.假设输入端同时包含天然电磁场源和可控人工场源,输出端进行多站同步观测;基于多输入-多输出系统的分析方法,推导了混场源条件下的时空阵列方程组.提出了系统响应的求解策略,一次性获得所有同步测道对各个场源独立激励时的响应,并分别求取了大地电磁法及可控源电磁法的各种解释参数.在此理论基础上,设计了针对性的施工方案;可控人工场源的选择形式多样,其类型、数量、激励方式及布设位置等不受限制,所有场源的激励可同时进行,无需分步;测区内各测站的布设方式灵活,可根据需要布设单分量测道或多分量测道;同时在测区外布设张量远参考站.利用数值模拟方法,论证了方法的有效性,并与常规方法进行了对比.结果表明,本方法不仅可提高人工场响应的处理精度,还具有一次野外数据采集,可同时获得天然场及人工场电磁响应结果的突出特点,进而提高采集效率,压制噪声影响;本方法集合了天然场源电磁法和人工场源电磁法的优点,为实现不同类型频率域电磁测深方法数据的统一处理提供了思路.  相似文献

An analytical method, based on matrix perturbation theory, is developed whereby a simple estimate can be obtained of the maximum dynamic response of lightly damped, light equipment (modelled as a n(2)-degree-of-freedom system) attached to a structure (modelled as a n(1)-degree-of-freedom system) subjected to ground motion or impact. A natural frequency of the equipment is considered close or equal to a natural frequency of the structure. It is assumed that the information available to the designer is a time history of the ground motion or impact, or an associated design spectrum; the fixed base modal properties of the structure; and the fixed base modal properties of the equipment. The method employed avoids the direct conventional analysis of a n(2) + n(1)-degree-of-freedom system either by modal or by matrix time-marching methods; as well as errors in estimates of peak response due to the possible unreliability of numerical schemes because of the lightness of the equipment, or due to uncertainty as to the appropriate procedure for summing the contributions of the two closely spaced modes which occur in the system. The proposed procedure is demonstrated for an example equipment-structure system. Computed results based on the method are in close agreement with results obtained through a Newmark time-integration scheme.  相似文献

Residential areas in Kuwait City have witnessed a dramatic rise in subsurface water tables over the last three decades. This water rise phenomenon is attributed mainly to over irrigation practices of private gardens along with leakage from domestic and sewage networks. This paper presents a comprehensive study for urban drainage in two selected areas representing the two hydrogeological settings encountered in Kuwait City. In the first area, a vertical drainage scheme was applied successfully over an area of 1 km2. The system has been under continuous operation and monitoring for more than 4 years without problems, providing a permanent solution for the water rise problem in this area. The hydrogeological system has approached steady state conditions and the water levels have dropped to about 3·5 m below the ground surface. In the second area a dual drainage scheme, composing of horizontal and vertical elements, is proposed. Horizontal elements are suggested in the areas where the deep groundwater contains hazardous gases that may pose environmental problems. The proposed drainage scheme in the second area has not yet been implemented. Field tests were conducted to assess the aquifer parameters in both areas and a numerical model has been developed to predict the long‐term response of the hydrogeological system in the two areas under consideration. 提出了一种地震预警信息可靠度检验方法. 针对地震预警系统对信息的高度时效性及准确性要求, 并结合其应用特点, 从地震动记录信噪比、 特征参数相容性、 特征参数协调性及地震预警定位结果可靠性等4个方面对地震预警信息的综合可靠度进行探讨, 并分别提出了相应的可靠度定量计算方法. 利用日本KiK-net台网记录的444个地震事件共4737条三分向加速度记录对上述4个指标参数及综合可靠度指标参数的验证结果表明, 采用本方法有助于提高地震预警信息发布的准确性和可靠性, 减少“漏报”及“误报”事件的发生.   相似文献

如何有效压制数值频散是有限差分正演模拟研究中的关键问题之一.近年来,许多学者对二阶声波方程的差分算子开展了大量的优化工作,在压制频散方面取得不错的效果.一阶压强-速度方程广泛用于研究地震波在地下变密度模型中传播规律,目前针对一阶方程的优化工作大多只是在空间差分算子上展开.本文在前人研究的基础上,推导出一阶声波方程中压强场与偏振速度场之间的解析关系,据此在传统交错网格基础上给出一种高精度的显式时间递推格式,该递推格式将时间差分与空间差分算子结合在一起,并采用共轭梯度法得到精确时间递推匹配系数,实现时空差分算子的同时优化.在编程实现算法的基础上,通过频散分析与三个典型模型测试表明:本文方法能够较为有效地压制时间频散与空间频散,提高数值计算精度;同时对复杂模型也有很好适用性.  相似文献
