本文对四个高红移类星体PKS1442 101(OQ172)、PKS0805 046(4C05.34)、PKS0528-250和PKS1448-232的光谱进行了氢分子吸收线的证认。得到的结果是:OQ172的吸收光谱中存在红移为Z=2.27292的氢分子吸收线系统;4C05.34中存在红移为Z=2.37030和2.44478的氢分子吸收线系统。  相似文献

继文[1]之后,本文利用15个中—高红移类星体的Lα森林构成统计样本,再度考察了Lα森林吸收线密度N(Z_(abs))与发射红移Z_(em)的相关性。本文的统计样本包含的红移范围比文[1]更大:类星体的发射红移值从1.715到3.750,Lα森林吸收线红移范围从1.501到3.780;统计方法亦与文[1]略有差异。统计结果再度表明,Lα森林吸收线密度N(Z_(abs))明显依赖于类星体自身的发射红移Z_(em),这不仅在于Z_(em)越大的类星体其全部吸收线的平均数密度N(Z_(abs))也越大,更重要的是,对于相同的吸收红移值Z_(abs)而言,N(Z_(abs))在统计意义上明显地随Z_(em)的增大而增大。文末对所得的结果作了讨论。  相似文献

本文对崔振兴和陈建生等人所提出的类星体吸收线红移系统证认方法作了进一步探讨。指出了方法的局限性及改进的办法;也指出了有待于今后继续研究的问题;并将改进后的方法应用于类星体PKS 0528-250的光谱分析中,得到了它的吸收线红移系统有:Z_a=2.8110,2.8130,2.5375,2.1410。这和Morton等(1980)所得的A_1,A_2,B,C红移系统一致。另外,我们又得到的新系统是Z_a=0.0345,0.0065。Chen和Morton(1984)所得到的D_1,D_2,E,F,G系统,我们未发现。讨论了产生这种差别的原因。  相似文献

分析类星体吸收线红移和发射线红移的特征。我们从Hewitt和Burbidge(1993)的星表中选择了吸收线红称和发射线红移都同时提供的类星体,得到了包含401个对象的样本。这是至今对类星体红移研究的最大样本。我们从吸收线红移和发射线红移之间的关系图发现绝大多数(93.6%)对象的吸收线红移都小于相应的发射线红移。这个结论人们在20世纪70年代已经从很小的类星体样本(样本大小50左右)中得到。本文进一步支持了这个结论。它表明类星体红移确实是距离的指示器。这跟宇宙学对类星体红移的解释是一致的。  相似文献

根据对类星体OQ172吸收线光谱的证认,可靠地确定了一个由氢线(L_a~L_b)支持的红移系统z=3.35248,分析表明它是一个大爆炸后形成的原始氢云。假定不存在阻尼加宽,用生长曲线求得其柱密度 lgN_H=14.66,多普勒宽度 b=55km/s。  相似文献

本文从统计检验理论和Bahcall的信噪比概念出发,提出了一种类星体吸收线红移系统的证认方法。其要点是:在一定的判据下计算谱线证认的理论随机概率;由此理论概率,按照统计检验的方法和信噪比的适当要求给出可供选择的红移系统;对这些可供选择的红移系统进行天体物理分析以最后确定出吸收线的红移系统。  相似文献

光谱观测显示类星体SDSS J091613.60+292106.1 (简称J0916+2921,系统红移zem=1.1418±0.0018)中有特殊的2175?尘埃消光特征,其强度显著大于银河系平均强度.光谱同时探测到与尘埃成协的丰富气体吸收线,确定吸收线系统红移为zabs=1.1413±0.0002,和类星体红移一致.气态金属离子柱密度相对太阳丰度的比例为[Al/Zn]=-1.68±0.10,[Cr/Zn]=-0.49±0.10,[Fe/Zn]=-0.81±0.18.尘埃耗散作用显著,说明该系统中尘埃十分丰富,与观测的强尘埃消光特征吻合.类银河系的2175?尘埃消光特征在类星体光谱中多见于中间插入吸收线系统,至今未明确认证内禀吸收线系统出现该特征,类星体SDSS J0916+2921是目前仅有的数个候选者之一.该类星体X射线辐射相较一般类星体更强,后续可用作研究2175?尘埃在强高能射线照射条件下的形成与离解平衡,以揭示2175?尘埃的化学成分、物理性质和起源.  相似文献

The method of identifying absorption line systems in QSO spectra (Cui et al. 1983; Chen et al. 1983) is further developed here. Certain limitations of the method and their improvements are discussed. Certain other problems requiring further study are pointed out. The improved method is applied to PKS 0528-250, and gives two new absorption line systems Za = 0.065 and 0.0345 in addition to the four systems Za = 2.8110, 2.8130, 2.5275, 2.1410, consistent with the systems A1A2, B, C of Norton et al. (1980). However, the systems D1, D2, E, F and G of Chen and Norton (1984) are not recovered. The reason for this discrepancy is discussed.  相似文献

We have made observations of the as sociated HI absorption of a high redshift radio galaxy 0902+34 atz = 3.395 with the Giant Meterwave Radio Telescope in the 323 ± 1 MHz band. We find a narrow absorption line with a flux density of 11.5 mJy at a redshift of 3.397 consistent with that observed by Usonet al. (1991), Briggset al. (1993) and de Bruyn (1996). A weak broad absorption feature reported by de Bruyn (1996) has not been detected in our observations. We also place an upper limit of 4mJy(2σ) on emission line strength at the position where Usonet al. (1991) claimed to have found a narrow emission line.  相似文献

Delaney et al. (1983) propose to redefine howardites as basaltic achondrites containing more than 10% of magnesian orthopyroxenite (diogenite) component. Since the 10% requirement is arbitrary and of no genetic significance this redefinition should be rejected and the earlier definition of Score et al. (1982) “Howardites are polymict pyroxene-plagioclase achondrites containing magnesian orthopyroxene” — in any amount — should be retained.  相似文献

In a previous paper, Hayliet al. (1983), two families of periodic orbits in the three-dimensional potential $$U = \frac{1}{2}(Ax^2 + By^2 + Cz^2 ) - \varepsilon xz^2 - nyz^2 $$ with \(\sqrt A :\sqrt B :\sqrt C = 6:4:3\) and ?=0.5 were described. It was found empirically that the characteristic curves of the two families intersect in the space (x0, y0, η) for |η|?0.2. This property is demonstrated in the present paper by writing explicitely the Poincaré mapping and by giving an approximation directly comparable with the numerical results obtained in Hayliet al. (1983). It is thus shown that one family bifurcates off the other.  相似文献

We examine the recent report by Prochter et al. that gamma-ray burst (GRB) sight lines have a much higher incidence of strong Mg II absorption than quasar sight lines. We propose that the discrepancy is due to the different beam sizes of GRBs and quasars, and that the intervening Mg II systems are clumpy with the dense part of each cloudlet of a similar size as the quasars, i.e. ≲1016 cm, but bigger than GRBs. We also discuss observational predictions of our proposed model. Most notably, in some cases the intervening Mg II absorbers in GRB spectra should be seen varying, and quasars with smaller sizes should show an increased rate of strong Mg II absorbers. In fact, our prediction of variable Mg II lines in the GRB spectra has been now confirmed by Hao et al., who observed intervening Fe II and Mg II lines at z=1.48 to be strongly variable in the multi-epoch spectra of z=4.05 GRB 060206.  相似文献

Modeling of the dayglow spectrum in the wavelength region between 3300 and 3500 Å indicates that the N2 second positive (0,0) band at 3371 Å is blended with the Vegard-Kaplan (0,9) band. A recent analysis of rocket observations of the dayglow shows that 20–30% of a 3371 Å narrow band filter-photometer signal is due to the VK emission (Conway and Christensen, 1983). Kopp et al. (1977) and Hernandez et al. (1983) reported analyses of 3371 Å photometer observations from the Visible Airglow Experiment on the Atmospheric Explorer-C (AE-C) satellite which did not consider the Vegard-Kaplan (VK) emission. The observations were compared to theoretical estimates of the second positive volume emission rate based on a photoelectron model and on absolute fluxes measured by the Photoelectron Spectrometer experiments on AE-C and AE-E. Inclusion of the VK band in the AE analysis would bring the reported photoelectron theory into agreement with the airglow observations. However, the overestimate of the N2 second positive airglow predicted by the AE-E photoelectron flux measurements increases to a factor of nearly two rather than the 20–30% reported by Hernandez et al. It is shown that the number of redshift systems based on Civ doublets, proposed by Borosonet al. (1978) in the absorption spectrum of the quasar PKS 0237-23, is insignificantly different from that that would be expected from chance coincidences. Several weak points in a recent paper by Guseinovet al. (1983) are discussed that cast doubt on their conclusions regarding mean masses and the mass distribution of DA white dwarfs.
