The combined tidal and wind driven flow and resulting sediment transport in the ocean over a flat bottom at intermediate water depth has been investigated, using a simple one dimensional two-equation turbulence closure model. This model has been verified against field measurements of a tidal flow in the Celtic Sea. The tidal velocity ellipses and the time series of the horizontal velocity components at given elevations above the bottom are well predicted through the water column although there are some deviations between the predicted and measured velocities near the bottom due to the uncertainty of the bottom roughness. For the combined tidal and wind driven flows the velocity profiles, turbulent kinetic energy profiles and surface particle trajectories are predicted for weak and strong winds. Furthermore, the bottom shear stress and the resulting bedload transport have been predicted; the parts of the particle trajectories in the close vicinity of the bottom where the bedload transport exists are displayed. Finally, the direction and magnitude of the surface drift, the depth-averaged mean velocity and the mean bedload transport are given, and the effect of the bottom roughness on the sea surface drift is investigated.  相似文献

利用旋转谱分析、调和分析和低通滤波的方法,对1987年8月至1988年1月南海北部东沙附近陆架坡折带处定点海流观测资料进行分析,研究了该区域定常余流、潮流和低频流的特征。各观测层次定常余流基本为西向流,垂向呈现较强的正压性。潮流以日分潮和半日分潮为主,呈顺时针方向旋转,全日潮流椭圆长轴普遍大于半日潮流,冬季K1分潮振幅在近底层明显增大,海流在中间层存在明显的惯性振荡。从能量角度分析,剩余流占海流总能量比例较大,定常余流能量主要存在于沿岸线方向,而垂直于岸线方向的能量主要由潮流和剩余流构成。低频流存在显著的季节变化,1988年1月呈现明显的顺时针旋转形态。冬季海表面风应力与次表层低频流有较强的相关性。结合OFES(Ocean General Circulation Model for the Earth Simulator)模拟结果,利用动量平衡分析的方法探究了动量方程中各项对低频流的贡献以及1988年1月次表层出现北向流的动力机制。冬季低频流具有较强的地转流特征,垂向分布受海水层化影响;东北风松弛和反气旋涡的联合作用是次表层出现偏北向流动的主要原因。  相似文献

通过理想模型的解析解对河口悬移质泥沙输沙中恢复饱和过程与潮流不对称耦合作用下的长期净输运机制进行了研究,并给出了二者耦合作用下的悬沙长期净输运的定量表达及悬沙净输运方向与分潮相对位相的关系。研究认为,悬沙的长期净输运与泥沙的恢复饱和过程及潮流不对称存在密切关系。对于仅单频潮波作用的情况,恢复饱和过程不会导致悬沙净输运的产生;分潮与余流的相互作用将产生与余流方向一致的净输运;悬沙的净输运方向与潮流不对称的方向并不完全一致;对于频率满足一定条件的分潮的组合,不论该分潮组合是否导致潮流不对称,均会产生悬沙的净输运;净输运量是分潮组合中各分潮流速的振幅、相对位相及相对恢复饱和时间的函数。对于某一分潮组合,悬沙净输运与潮流不对称方向改变时,二者的相对位相阈值之间的偏差随恢复饱和时间的增大而增大。  相似文献

为了研究人工鱼礁区基本水动力特征,本文利用人工鱼礁投放区的座底海床基获取半年以上的水动力观测资料,通过谱分析、调和分析、滤波等方法分析了该海区潮汐、潮流特征,并讨论了余流特征。结果表明,该海域属于不规则半日潮,具有显著的全日潮周期和半日潮周期,潮汐性质指数为0.98,平均潮差为0.95m,最大可能潮差为2.25m。潮流为典型的往复潮,潮流主向为NNE-SSW,优势分潮为M2分潮。垂向上,流速大小随深度增加显著降低,海底1m的流速较表层降低约30%,流向向沿鱼礁布设方向偏转。该海域余流较小,欧拉余流与斯托克斯余流大小相当,分别为1.35cm/s,1.41cm/s,均为向岸输运,欧拉余流表层受风影响较大,拉格朗日余流为2.76cm/s,方向SEE。该海域流场垂向结构与人工鱼礁投放后底摩擦增加、鱼礁对近底层水流的阻滞作用有关。底层温度具有显著的季节变化与日变化特征,短期高频变化存在显著的全日周期与半日周期,冬春季由于垂向混合加强,全日信号更为显著。底层浊度的升高主要由大风过程加强垂向混合的引起。  相似文献

Current meter data collected over the last 20 years are presented and used to describe the residual currents on the Celtic and Armorican slope and shelf regions. On the slopes, a poleward current of about 6cm s−1 exists at the 500m depth contour. At mid depths, these currents are directed onslope, whereas near the bottom the flow in markedly downslope, reaching mean speeds of about 15cm s−1 near 6°40′W. The downslope currents are thought to be largely tidally induced and balanced by Stokes transports. The total slope transport near 48°N is about 4Sv. On the upper slopes (<1000m depth) the transport increases poleward. On the outer Celtic shelf, a weak (2 cm s−1) counter-current flowing southeastwards was observed. On the Armorican shelf, the residual flow is again nothwestwards and this coastal flow appears to continue northwards across the mouth of the English Chanel and past the Isles of Scilly with typical mean upper layer speeds of about 2cm s−1. Southwest of Ireland the flow is again northwesterly. Numerical model simulations show that the eastern slope boundary current of the NE Atlantic can be driven by realistic distributions of seawater density. The simulations also show only a small wind driven barotropic response on the Celtic and Armorican shelf region and that a component of the residual shelf flows, like the slope current, may be driven by pressure distributions arising from regional differences in the distribution of seawater density, or from non local wind stress.  相似文献

In this contribution, the morphodynamics of open-sea tidal channels eroded into sandy seabed in regions of flow constriction is simulated by a one-dimensional model using the Bagnold formula for bedload transport rate, and accounting for the effect of bed slope. The results show that equilibrium conditions for such channels can be reached over a period of 102–103 years. Sediment eroded from the channel floor is transported in the direction of the dominant current, and deposited beyond the regions of flow constriction where the current looses competence due to spreading. In this way, the material remobilized from older strata in the channels is deposited in younger sand banks near the channel heads. Where several successive channels are incised along the current axis, they interact in their morphological evolution. The morphodynamic equilibrium of a tidal channel is reached once the combined interacting sedimentological and hydrodynamic factors, such as sediment particle diameter, tidal current velocity and flood/ebb dominance, are balanced. The model output shows that the equilibrium shape of the tidal channels appears to be related mainly to flow field characteristics and, to a lesser extent, to particle size. A positive correlation exists between the depth of the channels and their response times. The equilibrium water depths of the channels are more sensitive to current speed than to either particle size or the time–velocity asymmetry of the flow field. The response times for overall morphological equilibrium are sensitive to all of the above-mentioned parameters. In particular, sediment characteristics associated with critical current velocities have far-reaching effects on the morphodynamic behaviour of tidal channels.  相似文献

基于2017年春季和冬季的海流资料分析了红海湾海区海流特征、潮流状况、涨落潮流特性、余流特征及表层漂流特征。研究海域共布设3个临时潮位观测站和11个全潮水文观测站。根据流速、流向过程曲线和潮位过程曲线的关系,得出涨(落)潮流速最大的时刻和最小流速发生时刻与潮位关系并非固定在高(低)潮时或半潮面左右,由此看出,研究海域的潮波介于驻波与前进波之间,属于不规则半日潮流主导的海域。研究海域中大部分站位潮流属于往复流,少数站位潮流运动具有一定的旋转性,平均涨潮流速最大为7 cm/s,平均退潮流速最大为14 cm/s。春季大潮期和中潮期各站余流流向整体为偏东向,小潮期,除少数测站余流流向偏向南东向,其余测站余流流向偏西向;冬季大潮期和中潮期各站余流流向整体为偏西向,小潮期,湾西侧余流流向偏西向,湾东侧余流流向偏南东向。垂向上各层余流流速由表至底逐渐减小,流向基本一致。  相似文献

The homogeneous residual circulation in Hauraki Gulf arising from the tides, steady winds, and oceanic inflows is considered by use of a depth‐averaged 2‐dimensional numerical model. Vertical current structure of the wind‐driven circulation is derived by using the computed wind‐induced sea surface slopes, the wind stress, and a prescribed vertical eddy viscosity. Tidal residual circulation is weak, less than 0.01 ms‐1 over most of the Gulf. The response of the Gulf to wind‐forcing indicates a preference for north‐west/south‐east directed winds, the flow through the Gulf being more than 3 times as strong as for winds from other directions. Surface currents are mainly in the wind direction, but subsurface currents reveal closed circulation cells in near‐coastal areas. Simple oceanic inflows give rise to water movements which penetrate to the inner part of the Gulf.  相似文献

The 25-h measurements of current speed, flow direction, water depth, suspended sediment concentration and salinity were carried out at six anchored stations in the study area during spring and neap tides in winter of 1987 and summer of 1989. Caculations and analyses of the data obtained show that large amounts of suspended sediments are moved back and forth under the action of tidal current, and the net transport of sediment is small, with its predominance upstream in winter and downstream in summer. These calculations and analyses also suggest that the advective transport of sediment is dominant, while the vertical gravitational circulation of the suspended sediment comes next. Meantime, it is indicated that tidal currents play a major role in the suspended sediment transport, and residual flows have effect on the net transport of the suspended sediment, which is more remarkable during neap tide than during spring tide.  相似文献

利用2008年夏季和冬季的海流资料分析了红海湾西北海区潮流性质、运动形式、涨落潮流特性、余流特征。结果表明: 红海湾西北海区属不规则半日潮海域, 潮流性质属往复流, 大致呈东—西向往返运动, 具有一定的旋转流性质; 平均涨潮流最大可达17.8cm·s-1, 平均退潮流最大可达19.3cm·s-1; 实测流受风和地形影响明显。余流受风和地形的影响也比较明显, 在偏北风作用下, 余流流向西偏南; 在偏南风作用下, 余流流向东偏北, 余流最大可达18.9cm·s-1。潮能主要由东部向西传播至红海湾西北海区, 潮能进入量值可达4.8×103W·m -1。  相似文献

根据黄河水下三角洲的特点,建立了一个垂直平均二维沉积物输运数学模型,结合潮流和沉积物资料,模拟研究了沉积物输运机制和海底冲淤演变过程。模拟结果表明,垂直河口射流的潮流决定了本区沉积物净输运的总体格局,风应力对悬浮泥沙和推移质泥沙运动也起到重要作用。潮流底应力和活动层厚度分布表明,黄河口门和埕岛油田附近海域是潮流底应力和活动层厚度高值区,为沉积物活跃区,海底稳定性弱,易于侵蚀再搬运。冲淤计算表明,埕岛油田附近海域为冲刷中心区;现在河口水下三角洲在断流时为冲刷区,正常行河时则转为淤积区。  相似文献

台湾海峡地理位置独特,西侧海域海湾 岛屿系统普遍发育,显著影响了海域流场分布。同时,海峡西岸经济区的快速发展对区域海洋动力环境背景场及其变化的精细认识提出了更高的要求。福建莆田南日岛西侧南日水道是连通兴化湾与平海湾的主要水道,是区域海洋动力环境的“咽喉”所在,在区域海洋环境保护与科学开发利用中居于至关重要的位置。为了全面认识台湾海峡西侧海湾 岛屿系统影响下区域海洋动力环境背景场的年季变化,本研究利用布放在南日水道的座底观测系统获得的周年海流资料,结合同期气象风场资料,通过数据统计分析、调和分析、滤波处理和小波变化等手段,研究了南日水道内海流的季节变化规律和驱动余流的动力要素,初步探讨了热带气旋等对海洋动力演化过程的影响。研究结果表明,研究海域潮流为不正规半日浅海潮流,并具有明显的半月周期,涨潮流大于落潮流,涨潮流主方向为 WNW 向,落潮流主方向为 SE—ESE向。旋转谱结果表明,研究海域以半日潮为主,逆时针能量强于顺时针,惯性周期无明显的谱峰。潮流强度的季节变化特征为冬季最强,秋季、春季次之,夏季最弱。夏、秋季的余流流速较其他季节明显偏大,表层余流有明显的季节特征,底层余流全年为北向流。观测点余流主要由风引起,二者有很好的相关性,但频率统计结果显示二者方向不一致,表明余流在地形的作用下发生了转向,其中潮致余流对表层余流贡献较小。小波能量图表明,双台风(热带气旋)期间风和余流均存在1 d及6 d左右的周期信号,二者密切相关。本研究成果对于区域海洋环保以及海域科学开发与应用具有重要的现实意义。  相似文献

Bedload sediment transport was estimated by the SEDTRANS96 model based on three-day hydrodynamics data obtained off the Dongfang coast in the Beibu Gulf during Typhoon Ketsana in September 2009. Bedforms on the sea floor off the Dongfang coast and internal structures of a typical dune were interpreted to evaluate storm influences on individual dunes and the dune field. Results indicated that flow forcings and related bedload transport were both strengthened significantly due to Typhoon Ketsana. The measurements and modeling results, which mainly included three different stages, presented noticeable phasic variation. The three stages were dominated by tidal current (Period Ⅰ), tidal current combined with wind-induced waves (Period Ⅱ), and swells combined with tidal current and seaward flows (Period Ⅲ). This phasic variation could be a common trait of hydrodynamics due to typhoons moving westwardly to the south of Hainan Island and Beibu Gulf in South China Sea. Results indicated that the maximum bedload transport rate for every burst in Period Ⅲ was almost 100 times larger than that in Period I and was ten times larger than that in Period II. However, the short-term increase in bedload transport induced by storms like Ketsana did not change the long-term evolution of dune morphology. Evidence was given by the internal structures of a typical dune, which revealed renewed modification under subsequent moderate conditions after storm erosion. Instead, storms may influence at different scales and regional allocation of sand dunes in some large areas because changes of the sea floor in large scales can hardly be recovered. More surveys during and after storm passage are also needed to document the level of positive contribution to forward migration.  相似文献

基于天津港主航道连续观测点31 d的实测海流资料,利用调和分析对主航道潮流和余流特征进行研究,同时结合同步风速资料研究风对表层余流的影响。结果表明:(1)航道附近属于弱流海区,表层平均流速为31.4 cm/s,流速总体上由表至底逐渐减小,流速方向大致集中在NW—SE向。(2)观测海域潮流以正规半日往复潮占主导,优势分潮为M2,浅水分潮较为显著,涨潮流流速大于落潮流流速。(3)观测期间表层平均余流流速为2.8~13.8 cm/s,随着深度增加余流流速逐渐减小,方向大多为NW向。该站表层余流受风的影响显著,东南风将使余流方向偏向西北。  相似文献

Observations of the velocity and salinity structure of the Tees estuary were made at eight stations along the estuary axis between Victoria Bridge and the sea during the summer of 1975. The measurements were made on ten separate tidal periods covering neap and spring tides.The data were collected over a period of relatively low freshwater flows and the residual current was found to have a strong dependence on the Stokes drift. At the upstream stations, the residuals were more than an order of magnitude greater than the currents anticipated from the freshwater discharge. Although the mean stratification decreased as the tidal range increased, the vertical circulation was stronger on spring tides than on neaps. Vertical variations in the amplitude and phase of the tidal current results in a current which strengthens the vertical circulation. However, this effect only made a relatively small contribution to the observed vertical circulation.The relative contribution of the individual salt flux terms to the net upstream transport of salt varies along the estuary. As the estuary narrows, the contribution by the oscillatory terms dominates that from the shear in the steady state flow. Of these oscillatory terms, the correlation of velocity and salinity fluctuations plays a key rôle in the salt transport. The depth mean values make a greater contribution than deviations from the depth mean and the flux due to phase variations over depth is smaller than either of these. Since the Stokes drift is compensated by a down-stream steady state flow, it does not contribute to the tidal mean transport of salt.At the seaward end of the estuary, the salt fluxes due to the steady state vertical shear and the convariance of the tidal fluctuations act in a complementary way to counter the seaward transport of salt by the freshwater flow. With the possible exceptions of the wide or narrow reaches of the Tees, the longitudinal fluxes of salt due to transverse variations in velocity, salinity and depth and turbulent fluctuations are of secondary importance as contributors to the estuary salt budget.On both neap and spring tides, the computed total salt transports at the Newport and Victoria bridges did not match the values required for a salt balance with the corresponding freshwater flows. These fluxes were probably the cause of the observed downstream displacement of the tidal mean salinity distribution between neap and spring tides.  相似文献

河口作为陆海相互作用的关键带,是河流入海泥沙及污染物的主要归宿地。钦江作为广西第二大河流,在茅尾海资源开发利用和生态环境保护与修复中发挥着重要作用。为进一步认识钦江河口地区的沉积动力过程,2021年10月27日至12月8日在此展开水动力和水体环境要素的连续观测。现场观测与分析结果表明,观测期间钦江河口潮汐类型为正规全日潮,浅水分潮显著,平均潮差为3.07 m,具有落潮优势;潮流以全日分潮流为主导,平均流速为0.12 m/s,运动形式主要为往复流;余流流向主要为西南方向。钦江河口潮汐和潮流性质较外湾和茅尾海中部海域全日潮特征更显著。枯季期间河口表层沉积物随潮汐运动表现为侵蚀-沉降交替的变化规律,垂向上侵蚀通量大于沉降通量,水平方向上悬沙净向海输运。冷空气过境带来的降雨使得钦江河口水体盐度降低、浊度增大,悬沙浓度及输沙量增加,同时冷空气南下时北风增强引起钦江河口减水效应并使潮差略有增加,水动力强度增大,增加表层沉积物的活动性,从而引起底部沉积物再悬浮强度和频率增加。  相似文献

基于座底ADCP实测回波强度信号,结合短期实测悬浮体质量浓度,反演长时间序列悬浮体质量浓度,定量分析了渤海湾近一年悬浮体质量浓度变化特征及其影响因素。结果表明:受风浪影响,该区悬浮体质量浓度具有明显季节性变化特征,风浪作用强烈的季节其悬浮体浓度表现为相对高值。悬浮体净输运同样具明显季节性变化,秋冬强风浪作用下,悬浮体的净输运量明显增加;而在不同季节,月净输运方向具有不同的主输运方向。悬浮体质量浓度日变化受潮流控制明显,长周期变化则主要与风场的变化有关。潮流涨急过程与风致大浪过程均可引起沉积物再悬浮,导致悬浮体浓度明显增高。  相似文献
