针对水声信道的特点,提出了一种利用具有大的时宽带宽积的线性调频信号作为帧同步信号的方法。该方法首先在接收端进行滑动时频分析,从而实现线性调频信号的检测及粗同步,再进一步利用拷贝相关处理来实现细同步。计算机仿真和海上试验结果均表明,该方法能够在多途干扰下有效地实现同步。  相似文献

为了实现远程水下目标微弱信号检测,掌握远程传输后信号波形的特征,水声宽带信号波形预报技术是研究水下信号精细化特征研究的重要突破口之一.针对宽带信号,采用波束位移射线简正波(BDRM)频域合成波形预报算法和 BELLHOP 射线时域波形预报算法,获得宽带信号远程波形预报模型,并在浅海负跃层和深海声道两种典型海洋环境下,利用上述两种宽带波形预报算法,仿真计算了宽带信号远程波形,比较了两种波形预报算法精度.结果表明,在一定条件下,两种模型具有同等计算精度,可满足不同条件下的信号波形预报需求.  相似文献

Traditionally, matched-field processing (MFP) has been used to localize low-frequency sources (e.g., <300 Hz) from their acoustic signals received on long vertical arrays. However, some sources emit acoustic signals of much higher frequency. Applying MFP to signals in the mid-frequency range (e.g., 1-4 kHz) is a very challenging problem because MFP's sensitivity to environmental parameter mismatch becomes more severe with increasing frequency. Robust MFP techniques are required to process signals in the mid-frequency range. As a practical issue, short vertical arrays are more convenient to work with than are long vertical arrays; they are easier to deploy and are less prone to large amounts of deformation. However, short vertical arrays undersample the water column, which can result in severely degraded MFP performance. In this paper, we present experimental data results for this nonconventional paradigm. Using the environmentally robust broad-band L/sub /spl infin//-norm estimator, MFP results are given using shallow-water experimental data. This data consisted of broad-band signals in the 3-4-kHz band collected on an eight-element 2.13-m vertical array. These results serve to demonstrate that good localization performance can be attained for this difficult problem. Guidelines on the appropriate use of ray and normal-mode propagation models are also presented.  相似文献

Acoustic source localization using matched-field processing is presented for multitone signals from the Shallow Water Evaluation cell Experiment 3 (SWellEX-3). The experiment was carried out in July 1994 west of Point Loma, CA, in 200 m of water of complex bathymetry. The multitone signal (ten tones between 50 and 200 Hz) was transmitted from an acoustic source towed at various depths over tracks which produced complex propagation paths to a vertical line array receiver. Broad-band and narrow-hand processing, localization, and tracking results are compared with each other and with independent estimates of source position. With narrow-band processing, mismatch between the data and the predicted signal replica of ~1 dB reduced the mainlobe to levels equal to or below the sidelobes. Conventional bearing estimation procedures employ planewave steering vectors as replicas of the true field and seek to resolve in angle by maximizing a power function representing the agreement between actual and replica fields. For vertical arrays in oceanic waveguides the received field depends on range and depth, and it is natural to replace the "look-direction" (theta) by a "look-position" (r, z). Thus an environmental model is constructed by specifying ocean depth, sound speed profile, bottom properties, etc., and a propagation model is employed to construct a replica of the field that would be received on the array for a particular source position. The usual estimators (e.g., Bartlett or maximum likelihood) are then used to gauge the agreement between actual and replica fields and the true source position is identified as that position where the agreement is best. The performance of this kind of matched-field processing is strongly affected by the environment. In particular, we demonstrate through simulations that for a deep-water Pacific environment dominated by waterborne paths, ambiguities or sidelobes are associated with convergence zones. In the absence of mismatch between replica and actual fields we find that a 16-element array performs extremely well in low-frequency regimes. Mismatch caused by uncertainties in phone positions, bottom parameters, ocean sound speed, surface and bottom roughness, etc., causes degradation in localization performance. The impact of some of these effects on conventional and maximum likelihood estimators is examined through simulation.  相似文献

This paper deals with the basic modeling problem in underwater acoustics that is the characterization of the channel between a transmitter and a receiver. The problem is analyzed here using an array of sensors that receive PSK signals emitted by several sources. Data come from an experiment realized by a physical system situated in the Mediterranean Sea. In order to identify the multipath channel, we need to access the propagation time delay and the angle of arrival of each propagation ray. However, many of these acoustic ray paths are too close to be separated by classic processing methods (matched filter, beamforming, etc.); new methods with better resolution must be applied in order to analyze the experimental signals and to determine their arrival time on the array of sensors. After a presentation of this problem, we will first discuss high-resolution methods that are usually applied in the localization problem; we will then focus on wavelet packet analysis which provides good results by improving the temporal resolution of acoustic signals  相似文献

In matched field processing (MFP) the spatial characteristics of a dispersive wave field are exploited to estimate certain parameters of the acoustic field, such as source location or characteristics of the acoustic channel including environmental parameters. In airborne MTI (AMTI) radar, interfering echoes (clutter) are Doppler colored due to the platform motion. Optimum clutter suppression requires space-time or space-frequency processing. Some thoughts concerning cross-fertilization between these two areas are put forward. In particular, the idea of space-time MFP is stressed. Underwater acoustic communications (UAC) at the reverberation-limited range results in severely distorted information signals. Wide-band signals are subject to both intermodal and intramodal-type of dispersions. The underwater acoustic channel impulse response and the sidelobes strongly depend on the waveguide structure and the source and receiver positions. The motion and displacement from this position, as well as other environmental variabilities impose a real-time adaptivity for the receiver operation to keep track of the fluctuations. To increase the system's reliability and data rate, there is a need to employ adaptive equalizers and diversity techniques to improve the margins against noise, and intersymbol interference (ISI). Blind adaptive equalization (BAE) is the ideal adaptive compensation when operating point-to-multipoint networks, and centralized communication systems in general. Inherent optimum multiple resonant modes within the ocean acoustic waveguide can be exploited judiciously via a new proposed parallel data multicarrier modulation (MCM) scheme by sending data over the multiple subcarriers. MCM might eventually obviate equalization which introduces higher-order computational complexity to the receiver. The above modulation eliminates multipaths and allows operation at multiples of the single-carrier transmission rate. The system's immunity to distortions such as ISI, fast fades, and impulsive noises, is increased due to incorporation of symbol guard space. Direct comparisons with single carrier schemes (such as higher-order statistics (HOS)-based equalization) are of great interest, since the proposed new receiver configuration has low-complexity to provide a compact, portable and low-power practical acoustic modem. Finally, network topology issues are considered to determine optimum network architectures for underwater acoustic LANs. A method is described for the estimation of geoacoustic model parameters by the inversion of acoustic field data using a nonlinear optimization procedure based on simulated annealing. The cost function used by the algorithm is the Bartlett matched-field processor (MFP), which related the measured acoustic field with replica fields calculated by the SAFARI fast field program. Model parameters are perturbed randomly, and the algorithm searches the multidimensional parameter space of geoacoustic models to determine the parameter set that optimizes the output of the MFP. Convergence is driven by adaptively guiding the search to regions of the parameter space associated with above-average values of the MFP. The performance of the algorithm is demonstrated for a vertical line array in a shallow water enviornment where the bottom consists of homogeneous elastic solid layers. Simulated data are used to determine the limits on estimation performance due to error in experimental geometry and to noise contamination. The results indicate that reasonable estimates are obtained for moderate conditions of noise and uncertainty in experimental geometry  相似文献

江豚(Neophocaena phocaenoides G. Cuvier)俗称江猪,属鲸目(Cetacea),齿鯨亚目(Odontoceti),鼠海豚科,是海豚类中最小型的一种,也是我国沿海最常见的一种近岸小型无鰭鼠海豚。一般体长不超过2米,体重约30-80公斤,如图1照片所示。 江豚与其他海洋哺乳动物一祥,能发出多变的声信号,而且每一种声信号都受其生态行为的支配。发声系统是它们赖以生存的重要官能。海豚用其发射的声信号测定水下目标的距离、方位和大小,以至判断其形状,因而能有效的绕过障碍,避开或驱逐来犯之敌。依靠其声信号能更有效的捕获足够的食物,营养自身,抚育后代。声信号是海洋哺乳类动物在自然界进行生存斗争的有利武器。声信号又是海洋哺乳动物的语言,借以进行“社会”联络和通讯,甚至教育它们的后代。为此。人们把它们的这种功能称作“第六官能”(sixth sense)。 观察海兽类的声学行为,测试分析其声信号的结构和物理特性,是揭示它们的回声定位系统的机制,破译其“语言”奥密所必不可少的一步。从而将为驯养它们成为人类的水下得力“助手”提供可靠的实验方案,也将为仿生学等新的学科研究提供有效的理论依据。 本实验是为了把江豚驯养成“水下警犬”使其在海湾、河口进行人工放养鱼群的放牧,以及协助人类进行水下作业等目的而进行的基础工作,也是研究海洋哺乳动物回声定位的发射与接收机制的探索。实验工作是在一定的半自然条件下,对江豚某些生态行为下的声信号作了较详细的记录与分析。  相似文献

重物在落水和着底过程中都会产生瞬态声信号,这类信号可被运用于浅水区域水下目标定位。 针对浅水区域目标定位的问题,提出了一种基于小型立体五元基阵的瞬态声源快速被动定位算法。 在分析重物落水信号特征的基础上,选取合适的广义互相关加权函数求得传声器之间的声程差,运用快速最小二乘搜索算法进行声源定位。 结果表明:运用 5 传声器阵列可以同时兼顾定位精度和鲁棒性,且满足实时性要求,该方法可运用于浅水区域瞬态声源定位等领域。  相似文献

在高斯白噪声背景下,匹配滤波器作为线性调频信号的最优检测器,在水声信号处理中被广泛应用。 当发射信号为线性调频信号时,由水下目标径向速度引起的多普勒频移会造成回波和样本之间失配, 使匹配滤波器的检测性能下降,增加了目标速度估计的难度。 利用分数阶傅里叶变换对于线性调频信号的聚焦特性,提出了应用分数阶傅里叶变换的水下运动目标线性调频回波检测算法,完成对目标速度的估计, 推导目标运动速度与分数阶傅里叶变换阶数之间的关系,并对测量结果进行误差分析。 仿真测试表明,该算法可有效地估计混响背景下的目标径向速度,且具有良好的估计性能。  相似文献

Acoustic telemetry from underwater submersibles and sensors has been pursued ever since it was recognized that the ocean could support signal transmission. While it has been evident that some form of communication is possible, the ocean has proved to be a distressingly difficult medium in which to achieve high data rates. High data rate transmission requires a wide bandwidth which is severely constrained in the ocean because of the absorption of high-frequency energy. Moreover, the ocean is a very reverberant environment with both time and frequency spreading of signals; this further limits data transmission rates. The net effect of the bandwidth and reverberation constraints has led to either acoustic telemetry systems with low data rates or to the use of tethered systems. Over the years, various forms of acoustic communication systems have been developed. These have included direct AM and SSB for underwater telephones, FM for sensor data, FSK and DPSK for digital data, and parametric sonars for narrow-beam systems. As offshore operations have increased, several other systems have been proposed and/or built to respond to particular needs. In this paper, we review the underwater channel and the limitations that it imposes upon acoustic telemetry systems. We then survey some of the systems that have been built (excluding military systems) and indicate how they use various communication system principles to overcome these limitations.  相似文献

A conceptual framework in which the model-based, space-time acoustic signal processing procedure known as matched field processing (MFP) can be handled in a consistent manner is established. A framework for strong-signal MFP based on standard statistical estimation theory, in which MFP is regarded as essentially an estimation problem in the strong-signal regime, is developed. In the weak-signal case, the necessary requirement of detection dictates that MFP then be considered a joint detection-estimation task. It is demonstrated that, generally, MFP is essentially a space-time processing problem rather than simply an array processing (spatial processing only) procedure. An overview of the processing schemes used to date in MFP is given, showing how these methods relate to the optimal space-time structure. Weak-signal detection and estimation scenarios relevant to MFP are then noted. Present methods for dealing with the inherent instability of MFP algorithms (mismatch) are discussed. The current status of MFP is summarized, and recommendations for future research are made  相似文献

随着对水下目标特性研究的深入和声学探测技术的发展,基于单模态的阵列式信息融合或基于空间信息的分布式信息融合的水下目标识别方法研究已有一定成果,但针对复杂海况导致单一物理场或单一融合层次的系统识别性能提高有限等方面影响的水下目标识别方法研究还有所不足,因此,开展基于多模态深度融合模型的水下目标识别方法研究可利用模态互补,共享信息而提升识别率。文中在国内外研究基础上,深入研究了基于到达时差法和多模态方法组合的检测方法,初步形成了基于水声环境空间中多模态深度融合模型的识别框架,开展了海洋中典型自然与人为事件的信号分析与特征提取,并在此基础上,设计新型基于海底基站的被动识别系统。该系统同步记录和由位置等组成的时间序列标记声、磁和压数据,可实现高精度、高分辨率的识别。本研究可满足未来海洋观测对高性能水下目标探测、定位和跟踪系统的迫切需要,为海洋安全监管、海洋突发事件应急响应等领域提供新的技术手段和科学参考。  相似文献

水下GPS定位是近几年发展起来的高新技术.承载GPS接收机的海上浮标由于受海浪的影响,使得GPS接收信号附加了海浪信息,最终影响到水下目标的精确定位.针对海浪影响水下GPS定位精度现状,提出基于样条函数的数据分频处理方法,从而有效地分离海浪引起的长周期性漂移误差和短周期性随机误差,提高水下GPS定位精度.通过对实测数据的处理,证明了该方法的有效性.  相似文献

Predicting sonar detection performance is important for the development of sonar systems. The classical sonar equation cannot accurately predict sonar detection performance because it does not incorporate the effect of ocean environmental and source position uncertainty. We propose an analytical receiver operating characteristic (ROC) expression that characterizes the performance of the optimal Bayesian detector in the presence of ocean environmental and source position uncertainty. The approach is based on a statistical model of the environment and a physical model of acoustic propagation, which translates ocean environmental and source position uncertainty to signal wavefront uncertainty. The analytical ROC expression developed in this paper is verified for source position uncertainty due to source motion using both simulated data and real data collected during the Shallow Water Evaluation Cell Experiment (SWellEx-96). The results showed that the primary effect of source position uncertainty on optimal sonar detection performance is captured by the rank that corresponds to the significant eigenvalues of the signal matrix, an ensemble of replica signal wavefronts (normalized acoustic pressure vector) at the receiving array. The results also showed that the proposed ROC expression provides a realistic detection performance prediction for the Bayesian detector for source position uncertainty using real data. The proposed approach to sonar detection performance prediction is much simpler and faster than those using conventional Monte Carlo approaches.  相似文献
