本文利用日本气象厅研究所在筑波市213m气象塔1983年观测的湍流资料验证了大气边界层的局地相似性,求出了相似性函数的经验常数.进一步建立了局地湍流统计量同近地面层和边界层顶湍流通量之间的关系.  相似文献

Summary Filtered secular series of temperature at Zagreb (Croatia) are negatively correlated with simultaneous series of solar radiation and positively correlated with cloudiness.The local balance of radiative fluxes, with cloudiness interference included, provides a basis for the evaluation of a local deterministic model, which can describe both the positive and negative impacts of cloud radiative forcing upon surface temperature. A theoretical temperature series, generated by the model simulation, proves a prevailing greenhouse effect of clouds upon recent climatic variations of temperature at Zagreb.With 5 Figures  相似文献

Recent controversy over the introduction of genetically modified crops and their subsequent incorporation into foods has led to major popular debate and discussion. Despite this, there has been relatively little academic discussion of the background to these developments. In this paper it is argued that such developments need to be seen in the context of restructuring activity within the new ‘biosciences industry’ and closely linked to the globalization of such corporate activity and the drive for the liberalization of trade. By contrast, the reaction to genetically modified foods and seeds has typically been national or local in scope, and limited in its effectiveness.  相似文献

The natural evaporation in the Dead-Sea is a very important meteorological parameter to the local industries at Sdom. It was found that the pan evaporation in Sdom has recently increased by 20?C25%. In this paper we explore the reasons for this increase. It is found that both large-scale and local climatic changes have contributed to the evaporation increase in the Dead Sea Valley. The large-scale (global) change potentially associated with the global warming, resulted in changes of the frequencies of some synoptic systems in the region. The local change is a result of the recent Dead-Sea drying, which reduced the local Dead-Sea breeze while intensifying the Mediterranean-Sea breeze penetrating the Dead Sea Valley. It is suggested that while the local effect was the dominant climatic change factor in the Dead-Sea Valley in the 1970?C1990, the global effect becomes the dominant one in the more recent evaporation increase in the Dead-Sea.  相似文献

Summary In this paper, a retrieval method is put forword to establish climatic model an empirical. Time series of monthly mean temperature (T), pressure (P) and rainfall (R) in Tianjin are used to retrieve a set of dynamical equations to describe approximately the local climate. The results show that the methodology appears to hold promise for a wide variety of applications. Many dimensions of the global temperature pattern have been explored intensely over the past few decades. In this investigation, we explore the underlying spatial autoregressiveness of annual tropospheric temperature anomalies measured by polar-orbiting satellites. We found that the percent of the Earth covered by areas of significantly high local autocorrelation ranged from 11.92% to 25.90% over the 1979 to 2008 study period. We gathered 13 different teleconnection indices that have been linked to regional to global temperatures and found two (Polar/Eurasia pattern and North Atlantic Oscillation) that were positively correlated to the percent area with high local spatial autocorrelation. The magnitude but not the sign of the El Ni?o Southern Oscillation is also an important factor in the variation of spatial autocorrelation. The physical mechanism driving high local spatial autocorrelation is thought to be zonal and hemispheric flow governed by the subtropical and polar jet streams.  相似文献

Local governments in the United States have been hotbeds of climate change activity. Recently, states have sought to incorporate these primarily voluntary actions into broader climate change mitigation programs. Using the example of California, a national leader in U.S. climate policy, this article examines the scope for effectiveness of local climate action and assesses factors related to adoption of local climate policies. The analysis draws on two original surveys of city and county governments, designed to learn about adoption of comprehensive policy tools (emission inventories and climate action plans) and programs in specific areas (energy, water, land use, transportation). Adoption rates are fairly high and growing; by mid 2010 roughly 70% of all jurisdictions were already engaged or planning to engage in comprehensive climate actions, up from roughly 50% in 2008. The adoption of specific programs varies with the degree of local government authority in different sectors, and is generally higher for programs targeting municipal facilities and operations than those targeting residents and businesses. Population size, household income, and strong support from local leaders and the public are all associated with higher rates of adoption, particularly for comprehensive actions. Partisan attitudes are more important for comprehensive actions than for programs in specific areas such as energy efficiency and renewable energy, mirroring the findings of state and national public opinion surveys, which find broader support for actions like clean energy than for explicit climate change-oriented actions. Qualitative analysis reveals additional keys to success, including partnering with other local governments and private organizations and leveraging cost savings and other potential co-benefits of action. As states move to incorporate local actions into broader plans, mandates will also play an increasing role in setting a floor for local efforts.  相似文献

To understand the local atmosphere and heat transfer and to facilitate the boundary-layer parameterization of numerical simulation and prediction,an observational campaign was conducted in the Eastern Himalayas in June 2010.The local atmospheric properties and near-surface turbulent heat transfers were analyzed.The local atmosphere in this region is warmer,more humid and less windy,with weaker solar radiation and surface radiate heating than in the Middle Himalayas.The near-surface turbulent heat transfer in the Eastern Himalayas is weaker than that in the Middle Himalayas.The total heat transfer is mainly contributed by the latent heat transfer with a Bowen ratio of 0.36,which is essentially different from that in the Middle Himalayas and the other Tibetan regions.  相似文献

Clouds are believed to reflect temporal climate changes through variations in their amounts, characteristics, and occurrence. In addition, they reflect both weather and climate in a region. In this work, a methodology to determine the local cloud cover (LCC) is proposed using sky images obtained from a ground-based instrument. Three years of sky images from an urban, tropical site were obtained and analyzed through that methodology. Monthly average LCC varied from 3 to 96 %, while seasonal average values were 68 % for summer, 54 % for spring, 46 % for fall, and 23 % for winter. LCC results show a clear seasonal dependence and a fair agreement (r 2 = 0.72) with satellite data, which typically underestimate the cloud cover in relation to LCC. Our analysis also suggests the possibility of a measurable link between LCC and natural events like the El Niño Southern Oscillation.  相似文献

The structure of the lower troposphere has been studied during the sea-breeze and post sea-breeze events in an industrialized coastal area of the North Sea. Atmospheric dynamics and dispersion of pollutants in the lower troposphere have been analyzed by the experimental results of the 3D nonhydrostatic Meso-NH model in Dunkerque area (51°N, 2.20°E), in the north of France. The simulations were verified and extended by data of the measurement campaign. Ground-based remote sensing systems (lidar and sodar), surface meteorology and air quality network stations data have been employed. We illustrate the different pollution scenarios and breeze structure by the analysis of Lagrangian tracers and back trajectories.  相似文献

Summary The aim of this study was to investigate possible effects of two hypothetical scenarios of the urbanization of Zagreb’s surroundings on the local winds, which are established under summertime anticyclonic conditions. For this purpose, the nonhydrostatic mesoscale meteorological model MEMO was applied to the greater Zagreb area. Three simulations were performed. One employed the current land-use distribution, while the other two corresponded to an increase of the densely urbanized area by 12.5% (test 1) and 37.5% (test 2), respectively. Apart from the hypothetically urbanized areas, where average surface wind speed reductions of 8% and 18% were obtained for test 1 and test 2, respectively, the rest of the domain was not significantly affected by hypothetical urbanization. The differences between the wind vectors for the predicted current state and the hypothetical state were more pronounced and found at higher altitudes during the night compared to daytime values. For all three simulations the same diurnal variation of the depth of anabatic/katabatic wind flow generated on south-facing slopes of 1 km high mountain Medvednica was obtained. During the night the depth of well-developed katabatic flow was about 370 m, while during the day the depth of anabatic flow grew from about 550 m in the late morning up to about 1140 m in the late afternoon. Using Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models it has been shown that they, combined with models (either physical or statistical) taking local effects into account, can be used to predict the wind locally better than the models commonly used today (as eg persistence). By local is meant at one distinct spot, as eg the location of a meteorological mast. The physical model of local effects takes the following into account: shelter from near-by obstacles, the effect of roughness changes and the effect of the local orography. The large-scale flow is linked to the surface flow by the geostrophic drag law, and the logarithmic wind profile. The predictions are made up to 36 hours ahead. The model is tested on data from 50 meteorological stations scattered all over Europe.  相似文献

在局地扰动位能理论工作基础上,进一步研究了与实际地形有关的表面扰动位能部分,理论推导了数学表达式,表明地形和表面热状况是其决定因素。利用再分析资料考察了其气候学和气候变率特征。研究表明,表面扰动位能具有独特的热动力学意义,它的量值与地球表面高大地形密切联系,而其季节变动特点则与表面热状况的季节变化息息相关。高纬度极地地形区域为明显的全年基本不变的负扰动位能分布区,低纬度热带区域则呈现季节变动非常小的正扰动位能分布。表面扰动位能的季节变动和年际变率的极值区都位于北半球中纬度的高大地形区域,夏季达到正的极大值,而冬季则转变成负值区。这一特征在青藏高原区最为典型,其表面扰动位能在时域和频域上均表现出明显的年代际特征,年际变率以2—4a周期为主。  相似文献

Summary This study deals with one aspect of statistical downscaling, viz. links between the continental-scale upper-air circulation and surface weather variables on a daily scale. The circulation-to-weather links are expressed in terms of multiple regression between either grid point values or intensities of circulation variability modes and weather elements, including temperature variables, relative humidity, cloudiness, sunshine duration, zonal and meridional wind components, precipitation, and atmospheric pressure. The upper-air circulation influences the surface pressure, temperature and zonal wind most strongly. The relative humidity, cloudiness and sunshine duration appear not to be connected with circulation in winter at all. The low-frequency part of circulation (i.e. processes with periods longer than 10 days) is most efficient in specifying surface weather variables. The circulation-to-weather links manifest considerable intra- and interdecadal variations, posing doubts on the applicability of the downscaling-from-circulation method of constructing climate change scenarios.With 11 Figures  相似文献

The Pirin Mountains in southwest Bulgaria spatially mark a transition between the Mediterranean and temperate climate zones. Therefore they are also particularly relevant for research on high mountain climate and the effect of landscape transformation. Historical climate records gathered in the area have been researched, checked and statistically examined. The mountainous climate has been characterised and trends in the evolution of temperature and precipitation since 1931 have been outlined. There are objective evidences for an increasing annual mean temperature, longer vegetative periods and local droughts in spring and autumn. Significant changes also appear in climatic threshold values such as the number of frost change days. This last parameter is very important for the sustainability of mountainous ecosystems.  相似文献

运用气柱内辐射,相变,对流间的平衡及地表能量平衡条件研究了由于地表状况改变,即植被退化所造成的局地气候变化,结果表明地表反射率的加大及地面热通量的变化造成中国北方降水量的减少和温度的增加。粗糙度的减少也能造成降水量减少和温度增加,这些结果与数值模拟一致。考虑平流作用以后,上述特征不变,但降水及温度改变量发生变化。在全球增暖背景下,降水减少和温度增加要更剧烈些。  相似文献
