对20世纪90年代以来我国经济发展影响下的海洋环境污染变化趋势进行了分析,指出近年来我国海洋环境污染防治工作取得了一定成效,但近岸海域污染的总体形势依然严峻,并可能随着经济总量的增长而再次恶化,氮磷营养盐超标导致的海水富营养化是近岸海域的主要污染问题。讨论了我国现行的污染物减排策略对海洋污染防治的局限性,并以国家"十二五"发展规划、沿海区域社会经济发展规划为依据,综合分析"十二五"期间我国海洋环境污染防治面临的压力和主要入海污染源的排污特征,建议应对农业非点源开展源头污染控制、对沿海地区点源加强末端治理,实施流域-河口-海域联动的入海污染物减排策略。  相似文献

Volos city and its port are situated in the northern part of Pagassitikos Gulf, a shallow, semi-enclosed marine area in central Greece. A wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and pipeline operate in the same area. Muddy sediments with low carbonate contents cover most of the seabed, except for the Volos embayment and the western part of the gulf where sandy carbonates prevail. Bulk organic carbon contents and the organic carbon contents of the clay fractions are high in the vicinity of Volos embayment. High element (Pb, Cu, and Zn) contents and Igeo (geoaccumulation index) values were found for the clay fractions in the northern part of Pagassitikos Gulf. This enrichment is attributed to the discharge of raw domestic and industrial effluents of Volos city and port before the WWTP was installed. The dispersal of pollutants is essentially controlled by diffusion from point sources (city, port and WWTP) and is limited to Volos Bay. Relatively high Mn levels are ascribed to diagenetic formation of manganese carbonates (authigenic phase), whereas Cr and Ni are elevated due to weathering of ultrabasic formations on land.  相似文献

Masan and Haengam Bays in Korea are highly polluted and semi-enclosed. Domestic and industrial effluents are directly or indirectly discharged into the bays through sewage treatment plants (STP) and creeks. In this study, 15 dissolved sterol compounds were determined in order to understand their sources and relative contribution. Freshwater samples were taken from 13 creeks and at two STP sites on a monthly basis. Total dissolved sterol concentrations ranged from 993 to 4158 ng/L. The concentrations of sterols in winter were higher than in summer. Among the sterols analyzed, cholesterol, β-sitosterol, coprostanol and cholestanone were major compounds in creek water. Seawater samples were concurrently collected at 21 stations in Masan Bay. Total sterol concentrations ranged 118–6,956 ng/L. Inner bay showed high concentrations of sterols in summer, while outer bay showed high sterol concentrations in winter. Among the sterols, cholesterol, β-sitosterol and brassicasterol were major compounds in seawater. In order to examine the contribution of urban sewage, the concentration of coprostanol and fecal sterol ratios were calculated. Most of the creek water, inner bay and near STP outlet samples were affected by sewage. Terrestrial organic matters accounted for a high proportion of dissolved organic matter origin. Fecal origins were relatively high in the inner bay areas and in the STP outlet, while sterols of marine origin were high in the outer bay areas.  相似文献

New data have extended our understanding of the distribution and behavior of methylgermanium in the environment. Laboratory attempts to induce aerobic methylation with known biological and abiotic methylating agents were unsuccessful; this confirmed previous field observations of methylgermanium's unreactive behavior. However, biomethylation of inorganic germanium was observed in the anaerobic digestor of a sewage treatment plant, which suggested a terrestrial methanogenic source. Attempts to locate such a source in methanogenic swamps and their drainages reveal very low methylgermanium concentrations typical of other remote, pristine rivers. Polluted rivers have monomethylgermanium (MMGe) and dimethylgermanium (DMGe) concentrations 3–100 times higher than those of pristine rivers, which suggests an anthropogenic source of methylgermanium as a result of the synergistic effects of sewage treatment and coal-ash derived inorganic germanium contamination. A new high-precision profile of MMGe and DMGe in the Sargasso Sea shows conservative behavior with no vertical gradients. However, marine anoxic basins have both inorganic germanium enrichment and methylgermanium depletion, which suggests that of marine anaerobic processes are responsible for demethylating marine organogermanium. These results all suggest that methylgermanium is produced on the continents, is unreactive in the open ocean, and is destroyed in marine anoxic environments. The residence time of organogermanium in the sea, based on a continental source (pristine rivers), is at least 1 Ma, consistent with its unreactive nature, its observed distribution in the ocean, and rates of destruction in anoxic basins.  相似文献

To understand the role that physical processes play on the biogeochemical cycles of estuaries, we conducted intense field studies of the turbidity maximum region within a partially mixed estuary (Winyah Bay, SC, USA) under contrasting conditions of river discharge, tides and wind. Water samples and hydrographic data were collected at different depths and locations along the main channel over several tidal cycles during several cruises to Winyah Bay. Tidal variations in current speed, salinity, total suspended solid concentrations were measured within each cruise and were consistent with estuarine circulation processes. Salinity and total suspended solid concentrations ranged from 0 to 32 and from 20 to over 500 mg L−1, respectively, with the highest salinity and total suspended solid values measured during periods of low river discharge. In fact, comparison of tidally averaged salinity and total suspended solid concentrations revealed marked differences among cruises that were negatively correlated to river discharge and SW wind speed. Moreover, significant contrasts in the chemical compositions of suspended particles were evident among periods of contrasting river discharge and wind regime. For example, the weight percent organic carbon content of suspended particles ranged from 1 to over 6% and displayed a positive correlation with river discharge. Similarly, both the molar carbon to nitrogen ratios (10 to 20 mol:mol) and stable carbon isotopic compositions (−25 to −29%) of the suspended organic matter varied significantly as a function of discharge and wind. Such trends indicate that in Winyah Bay low river discharge and steady SW winds promote resuspension of bed sediments from shallow regions of the estuary. These materials contain highly altered organic matter and their incorporation into the water column leads to the observed trends in suspended particle concentrations and compositions. Furthermore, these conditions result in net landward fluxes of salt, sediment and particulate organic matter throughout most of the water column, promoting efficient trapping of materials within the estuary. Our results illustrate the fundamental connection between physical forcings, such as discharge and wind, sediment transport processes and the cycling of biogeochemical materials in estuarine environments.  相似文献

The dissolved inorganic carbon and total alkalinity in the surface brackish waters of Lake Hamana were investigated monthly from October 2017 to September 2019 at 14 stations. The partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the surface water ranged from 29 to 1476 μatm and was undersaturated for atmospheric CO2 during the observation periods, although most coastal waters were net source areas because of the large amount of terrestrial organic and inorganic carbon input. Since there was a strong negative correlation between pCO2 and the dissolved oxygen, seasonal and temporal variations in pCO2 were mainly derived from phytoplankton activity. The high phytoplankton activity induced by the effluents from sewage treatment plants, which was low in carbon and high in nitrogen. Therefore, in urbanized coastal waters with sewage treatment plants, such as the coastal waters of Japan, there is a possibility of shifting from weaker carbon dioxide source areas to sink areas. However, pCO2 was oversaturated at the polluted river mouth, especially after high precipitation events due to the large carbon supply.

Sewage disposal is a major environmental issue in both developed and developing countries and removal of pollutants such as organic matter, nutrients, heavy metals and persistent organic compounds is required to protect the environment. Novel biological systems using constructed mangrove wetland and immobilized microalgal beads have been developed as alternative systems for treating different types of sewage and pollution at source. The feasibility and efficiency of constructed mangrove wetland to remove organic matter and nutrients from primary settled municipal sewage were demonstrated through a series of greenhouse experiments and a pilot-scale field trial. The treatment efficiency of constructed mangrove wetland was comparable to, or higher than, the conventional constructed wetland. An immobilized microalgal system was developed to remove toxic persistent pollutants from industrial wastewater. Pollutant-resistant microalgal species were selected for culture in domestic wastewater. The harvested biomass was immobilized in alginate beads. Bench-scale experiments showed the algal beads were effective in removing industrial pollutants such as heavy metals (e.g. Cu, Zn, Ni, Cr, etc.), organometallic compounds (e.g. tributyltin, TBT), and persistent organic compounds (e.g. polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, PAHs) through biosorption and biodegradation. The adsorbed metals could be recovered by desorption process, and the beads could be used repeatedly for many adsorption–desorption cycles.  相似文献

挥发性有机物排放是目前大气环境污染的一个焦点问题,以苯、甲苯、乙苯和邻/间/对二甲苯(BTEX)为主要代表的单环芳烃是其中一类重要的化合物。受人类生产活动的影响,BTEX在大气、土壤、地表及地下径流、海洋中普遍存在,其环境效应与生态毒害受到广泛关注。本文从大气 海水 沉积物 生物体入手,综述了海洋环境中BTEX的分布、来源及其迁移过程等研究进展。研究显示海洋环境中BTEX浓度变化范围较大,在分布上呈现出近海高、远洋低的趋势。海洋中BTEX的主要来源是人为来源,即海洋是陆源BTEX重要的汇,而海 气交换和生物降解则被认为是BTEX的主要去除途径。此外,本文阐释了海洋中BTEX的生态与大气环境效应。BTEX具有生物毒性,威胁海洋生物的生存与繁衍,破坏海洋生态系统平衡;而进入大气的BTEX能够影响大气的氧化能力,对于臭氧和二次有机气溶胶的形成具有重要贡献。尽管海洋BTEX研究取得了一定的认识,但目前海洋环境不同介质中BTEX来源解析、迁移转化过程及生物毒性机理亟需深入系统研究,为深入认识BTEX的生物地球化学过程与环境效应奠定基础。  相似文献

为了解胶州湾水体和表层沉积物营养环境状况及其主要影响因素,于2019年8月在胶州湾30个站位点采集了海水和表层沉积物样品,并于2021年5月在胶州湾沿岸采集了18个站位点的水样,对水体溶解无机态营养盐浓度和组成以及表层沉积物中总有机碳、总氮、总磷及生物硅含量和碳、氮稳定同位素(δ13C、δ15N)进行了分析。结果表明,胶州湾内水体和沿岸水体中溶解无机氮、溶解无机磷和溶解硅酸盐浓度空间分布相近,高值均位于湾东北部,主要受到河流输入和沿岸污水排放的影响,低值主要出现在湾中部和湾口处。结合近30年来的历史数据分析发现,胶州湾夏季营养盐浓度在1990?2008年期间呈持续上升的趋势,政府实施的污染物总量控制措施以及河流径流量下降使得2006年以来营养盐浓度呈现下降的趋势,该变化在空间上主要体现为大沽河氮、磷输入量的减少及其对应的湾西部营养盐高值的消失。胶州湾氮、磷营养盐输入的不平衡使得“磷限制”在2000年后逐渐加剧。胶州湾表层沉积物中总有机碳、总氮、总磷含量高值均集中于东北部和东部沿岸,结合生物硅和水体营养盐含量分析显示,这主要是河流与排污输入及其带来的高初级生产力造成的,沉积物生源要素与水体营养盐在空间分布上存在较好的耦合关系。沉积物粒度较粗对有机质保存的不利影响以及湾口较强的水动力作用共同导致了湾西部、中部以及湾口的生源要素含量较低。δ13C以及二端元混合模型显示,胶州湾表层沉积物有机质来源总体以海源为主,平均占比为64%,东部沿岸受陆源输入影响较明显。δ15N的空间分布显示,胶州湾表层沉积物中氮元素受到了海水养殖与污水排放的共同影响。水体和沉积物营养环境现状共同表明,对东北部河流和沿岸污水排放的控制是后期胶州湾污染治理的关键。  相似文献

Microplastics are persistent environmental contaminants found in marine environments worldwide. Microplastic particles isolated from coastlines in the Canterbury region of New Zealand were quantified and characterised. Sediment samples were collected from 10 locations representing exposed-beach, estuarine and harbour environments in both urban and non-urban settings. Particles were isolated from sediments using an NaCl density-separation procedure and quantified and characterised with a combination of optical/fluorescence imaging and micro-Raman spectroscopy. Microplastics were detected at eight out of 10 locations, at concentrations ranging from 0–45.4 particles kg?1 of dry sediment. The majority of microplastics were identified as polystyrene (55%), polyethylene (21%) and polypropylene (11%). Microplastic concentrations in exposed-beach environments were significantly greater than in harbour and estuarine environments.  相似文献

The effect of varying concentrations of soluble sewage material in river water on the sorption of Ag, Cd, Co and Zn by suspended freshwater sediments has been studied. Temporary enhancement of the nutrient concentrations in the coastal area was observed after heavy rain in the central Seto Inland Sea in July 2012. After passage of a stationary front accompanied by heavy rain, the river outflow was enhanced, and low salinity and high nutrient concentrations were detected near the mouths of rivers. The offshore salinity and nutrients increased and decreased, respectively, which suggested that a snapshot event, such as heavy rain, could influence the short-term variation of the coastal marine environmental conditions, such as the salinity and nutrient distributions.  相似文献

One of the main effects of urbanization on coastal areas is through the discharge of sewage, which increases nutrient concentrations in the receiving environment. Salt marshes, like other coastal marine environments, are limited by nutrients, mainly nitrogen, and thus increasing nutrient loadings to a marsh may have consequences on marsh characteristics. We evaluated how the effects of nutrient enrichment in the form of sewage input, affected the vegetation structure and bird assemblages in a Spartina alterniflora salt marsh system near Bahía Blanca, Argentina (39° 01' S - 56° 25' W). Surveys of nutrient concentration, vegetation and birds were made at three different distances from the sewage discharge source. The concentration of ammonium, phosphate, and nitrate and the percent organic matter was higher in marshes nearest to the sewage discharge source. Bird composition and abundance, and vegetation physiognomy changed along a gradient of nutrient concentration. The increased habitat complexity found near the areas of higher nutrient concentration was exploited by birds that use neighboring interior and coastal habitats, including Spartina densiflora marshes, freshwater marshes and upland shrubby habitats. Our results show that local increases of nutrient inputs directly changed the vegetation physiognomy, and indirectly the composition and abundance of bird assemblages.  相似文献

Deeply buried reservoirs containing chlorite-coated quartz sand grains commonly have higher than expected porosity and permeability, although prediction of such positive anomalies still remains elusive. A total of 54 published examples based on information and data from 62 scientific papers was collated. Quantification of some of the most common parameters including depositional environment, age and latitude of sand deposition, effect on reservoir quality and chemical composition of chlorite is presented.The dataset indicates that chlorite-coats are found in sandstones deposited in a range of depositional environments, but most commonly occur in delta-related environments (44%), with fluvial environments the second most common (19%). Age relationships indicate that there is an overall exploration bias in published examples, with chlorite-coats becoming increasingly common through time. The latitude at the time of deposition of sands with chlorite-coats is wide (60°N–60°S), and indicates that temperate and tropical climates are important for the generation of this clay mineral. Chlorite can have a variable effect on reservoir quality, but is typically positive. Iron-rich chlorites occur overwhelmingly in coastal environments, while mixed iron- and magnesium-rich chlorites are principally found in marine and terrestrial sandstones.Analysis of these factors suggests that hinterland geology, basinal soil development and geochemical weathering, and proximity to river systems are essential to the formation of chlorite precursor phases. These characteristics have been combined to define situations where chlorite-coats were more likely or more unlikely to form. These parameters will provide insights into the formation of chlorite and to further refine predictive models for the presence or absence of chlorite-coated sandstones.  相似文献

Alkylphenolic compounds are present in estuarine and marine environments. They are moderately bioaccumulative, and oestrogenic to fish following three week, in vivo, exposures. The effects of prolonged exposure are, as yet, unclear. Sand goby (Pomatoschistus minutus) were exposed to measured concentrations of 4-tert-octylphenol (OP) in a 28-day, dose-ranging study, and a six month temporal response study. Following 28-days exposure to measured 31+/-6 or 101+/-47 microg l(-1) OP (mean+/-SD), immature male sand goby showed elevated vitellogenin (VTG) mRNA expression. Plasma alkali-labile phosphate concentrations were elevated in both sexes and were higher in females than males. Although measured OP concentrations were variable, they were significantly different for each treatment and a range of concentration-dependent effects were observed. The LC(50) for chronic OP exposure (8 weeks) was 29+/-6 microg l(-1), and both sexes demonstrated concentration and duration dependent increases in VTG mRNA expression. Exposure to 28+/-20 microg l(-1) OP (median+/-95% CI) for 6 months inhibited development of male nuptial colouration and sperm duct glands. These findings are discussed in relation to environmental concentrations of alkylphenols and ecological concerns.  相似文献

Arsenic compounds in the marine polychaete Arenicola marina collected from Odense Fjord, Denmark were determined by HPLC-ICPMS. In contrast to most other marine animals, A. marina contained most of its water soluble arsenic as inorganic forms, arsenite (58%) and arsenate (16%), and arsenobetaine was present as a minor constituent (6%) only. Other arsenic compounds detected in A. marina were dimethylarsinate (4%), two arsenosugars (1 and 3%), tetramethylarsonium ion (1.5%), and arsenocholine (<1%). A new arsenobetaine -trimethylarsoniopropionate-previously only reported in fish, was also present at trace levels (<1%), and an unknown anionic arsenical (approximately 10%) remains unidentified. When A. marina was exposed in laboratory experiments to different concentrations of arsenate in seawater (10, 50. 100, 500 and 1000 microg As 1(-1)) the polychaetes accumulated arsenic in a dose dependent. non-linear manner. Most of the accumulated arsenic was biotransformed to arsenite and dimethylarsinate. with the remainder being accumulated as unchanged arsenate. None of the other arsenic compounds naturally present in A. marina increased in concentration following arsenate exposure.  相似文献

A wide variety of substances, including known or potential pollutants, become associated with particles in coastal marine environments. This association may result from: (1) ion exchange, precipitation, or hydrophobic interactions with the particle surface, (2) co-precipitation with iron and manganese hydrous oxide coatings, (3) complexation with organic substances bound or aggregated with particles, (4) incorporation into mineral lattices, organisms or fecal material, or (5) flocculation of colloidal organic and inorganic matter during river and sea water mixing. The transport, accumulation and fate of such chemically-reactive pollutants in coastal marine environments are governed to a great extent by particle dynamics. Understanding of the mechanisms and processes affecting pollutant-particle associations and dynamics allows the prediction of the fate of a wide variety of pollutants in estuarine, coastal and marine environments.  相似文献

近年来微塑料 (Microplastics,MPs) 污染受到全球关注。MPs 在海洋环境中广泛存在,在海水、沉积物和生物体中都有检出 MPs。陆源污染被认为是海洋 MPs 的主要来源,然而针对入海排污口中 MPs 分布的研究却很少。本文在天津海岸线的排污口采集微塑料样品,消解处理后用光学显微镜和显微红外光谱仪进行了检测。结果表明微塑料主要有纤维、碎片、薄膜三种形状,占比最多的是纤维状,占比为 75.6 %;粒径大小为 1 ~ 5 mm 占比较多,为 39.5 %;主要有黄色、白色、黑色、红色、蓝色、绿色 6 种颜色,其中黑色占比最多,占比为 33.0 %。MPs 主要成分有聚氯乙烯 (PVC)、聚酰胺 (PA)、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇脂(PET)、纤维素塑料(CE)、丙烯腈-丁二烯-苯乙烯共聚合物(ABS)、环氧树脂(EP)、聚丙烯聚乙烯共混物(PP-PE)、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯 (PMMA) 等 8 种组分。根据数据分析,天津入海排污口的 MPs 主要来源于居民污水、塑料包装业、服装纺织业、旅游业和渔业。研究结果对渤海 MPs 治理具有重要意义。  相似文献

Two physicochemical parameters: specific surface area (SSA) and heat-of-wetting (ΔwH) were measured in order to characterize the surface of sediments from river and marine environments. The data for the sediment samples of the Krka River Estuary were compared with polluted river and shelf marine sediment samples. It was found that organic free samples from the polluted river sediments show two to three times larger SSA compared to native samples. At the same time, ΔwH was two to three times higher for native samples. The inverse of this trend was found for marine sediment samples. In the Krka River Estuary a narrow transition zone is evident, where such an inversion occurs. This inversion is attributed to significant compositional changes of organic matter within the estuary.  相似文献
