Aerosol optical properties are simulated using the Spectral Radiation Transport Model for Aerosol Species(SPRINTARS)coupled with the Non-hydrostatic ICosahedral Atmospheric Model(NICAM). The 3-year global mean all-sky aerosol optical thickness(AOT) at 550 nm, the ngstr m Exponent(AE) based on AOTs at 440 and 870 nm, and the single scattering albedo(SSA) at 550 nm are estimated at 0.123, 0.657 and 0.944, respectively. For each aerosol species, the mean AOT is within the range of the Aero Com models. Both the modeled all-sky and clear-sky results are compared with observations from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS) and the Aerosol Robotic Network(AERONET). The simulated spatiotemporal distributions of all-sky AOTs can generally reproduce the MODIS retrievals, and the correlation and model skill can be slightly improved using the clear-sky results over most land regions. The differences between clear-sky and all-sky AOTs are larger over polluted regions. Compared with observations from AERONET, the modeled and observed all-sky AOTs and AEs are generally in reasonable agreement, whereas the SSA variation is not well captured. Although the spatiotemporal distributions of all-sky and clear-sky results are similar, the clear-sky results are generally better correlated with the observations. The clear-sky AOT and SSA are generally lower than the all-sky results, especially in those regions where the aerosol chemical composition is contributed to mostly by sulfate aerosol. The modeled clear-sky AE is larger than the all-sky AE over those regions dominated by hydrophilic aerosol, while the opposite is found over regions dominated by hydrophobic aerosol.  相似文献

中国海域MODIS气溶胶光学厚度检验分析   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
利用MODIS的Collection 005版本(MODIS—C005)数据的气溶胶光学厚度(AOT)产品,与我国海域多个AERONET观测站点太阳光度计测量得到的AOT结果进行了对比分析,对MODIS_C005数据的气溶胶产品在我国海域进行了验证,并对验证方法进行了探讨。结果表明,MODIS—C005的AOT在我国海域与AERONET站陆基观测到的AOT具有非常好的一致性,相关系数达到0.9以上。通过尝试不同的验证方法,发现验证数据的空间采样窗口大小的选择对于验证效果具有较大的影响,在中国海域可以使用30km×30km的空间采样窗口。通过MODIS—C005的AOT与AERONET站观测值在中国各个海区的比较,证明MODIS—C005的AOT在550nm满足美国NASA的设计要求,误差控制在±0.05±0.057τ,适用于我国海域,可以用于中国海域的气象和海洋等科学研究。  相似文献

结合2006年最新的气溶胶排放源资料,以NCEP/NCAR再分析资料为气象场,驱动大气化学传输模式MATCH(Model of Atmospheric Transport and Chemistry),模拟了2006年中国地区硫酸盐、黑碳和沙尘气溶胶的质量浓度分布及其季节变化。模拟的气溶胶光学厚度(AOD)结果与CSHNET观测网数据比较分析后发现,基于21个观测站的61组月平均数据与相应模拟结果的相关系数为0.63。模拟结果表明:2006年中国地区硫酸盐气溶胶高值区主要分布在中国的四川盆地、华北及长江流域等工业较发达地区,而且具有明显的季节变化,四川盆地及长江以南地区,硫酸盐气溶胶1月份浓度高于7月份,长江以北的大部分地区,7月份浓度高于1月份;黑碳气溶胶主要分布在黄河、长江中下游地区及华南等地区,1月份浓度高于7月份;沙尘气溶胶主要分布在内蒙古中部沙漠地区,4月份浓度最高,7月份次之,其他月份较少。  相似文献

Episode Simulation of Asian Dust Storms with an Air Quality Modeling System   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A dust deflation module was developed and coupled with the air quality modeling system RAMS-CMAQ to simultaneously treat all the major tropospheric aerosols(i.e.,organic and black carbons,sulfate,nitrate, ammonia,soil dust,and sea salt).Then the coupled system was applied to East Asia to simulate Asian dust aerosol generation,transport and dry/wet removal processes during 14-25 March 2002 when two strong dust storms occurred consecutively.To evaluate model performance and to analyze the observed features of dust aerosols over the East Asian region,model results were compared to concentrations of suspended particulate matter of 10μm or less(PM10;1-h intervals) at four remote Japanese stations and daily air pollution index (API) values for PM10 at four large Chinese cities.The modeled values were generally in good agreement with observed data,and the model reasonably reproduced two dust storm outbreaks and generally predicted the dust onset and cessation times at each observation site.In addition,hourly averaged values of aerosol optical thickness(AOT) were calculated and compared with observations at four Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) stations to assess the model’s capability of estimating dust aerosol column burden.Analysis shows that modeled and observed AOT values were generally comparable and that the contribution of dust aerosols to AOT was significant only with regard to their source regions and their transport paths.  相似文献

用MODIS反演北京城市地区地表反照率精度以及算法改进   总被引:3,自引:2,他引:1  
MODIS(MODerate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer)地表反照率的精度在乡村地区已经得到了检验,但是至今没有在城市地区的有关研究。地表反照率的精度在很大程度上取决于大气订正的精度,作者利用2002年以来的北京AERONET(国际气溶胶检测网络)站点Cimel气溶胶观测资料对反射率进行大气订正,通过对比来评价MODIS地表反照率算法中大气订正的精度。结果发现,MODIS大气订正在蓝光波段具有明显的过度订正现象,MODIS大气订正后地表反射率平均偏低0.03。MODIS地表反照率在冬季有约75%的缺测,这是因为冬季严重的空气污染使得MODIS云检测得到晴空观测较少。MODIS使用三参数双向反射率函数(BRDF)要求16天以内至少有3次以上的晴空观测(MODIS算法中要求7次)。通过分析MODIS反演得到的三参数,发现虽然它们的绝对值具有明显的季节变化,但是它们的比值是十分稳定的,这样使BRDF函数降低到只需要一个参数,有效降低了对晴空观测次数的要求,这一思想可以应用到热带等晴空日数较少的地区。  相似文献

Aerosol optical properties over Beijing and Xianghe under several typical weather conditions (clear sky, light haze, heavy pollution and dust storm) are derived from POLDER (POLarization and Directionality of the Earths Reflectances)/PARASOL (Polarization and Anisotropy of Reflectances for Atmospheric Sciences coupled with Observations from a Lidar) multi-directional, multi-spectral polarized signals using a more reliable retrieval algorithm as proposed in this paper. The results are compared with those of the operational retrieval algorithm of POLDER/PARASOL group and the ground-based AERONET (AErosol RObotic NETwork)/PHOTONS (PHOtometrie pour le Traitement Operational de Normalisation Satellitaire) measurements. It is shown that the aerosol optical parameters derived from the improved algorithm agree well with AERONET/PHOTONS measurement. The retrieval accuracies of aerosol optical thickness (AOT) and effective radius are 0.06 and 0.05 mu m respectively, which are close to or better than the required accuracies (0.04 for AOT and 0.1 mu m for effective radius) for estimating aerosol direct forcing.  相似文献

Terra/MODIS前一版本C4和最新版本C5的气溶胶光学厚度(AOT Aerosol OpticalThickness)数据,以及搭载于同一卫星上的Terra/MISR气溶胶光学厚度数据,在中国中东部地区存在差异。本文利用AERONET气溶胶光学厚度数据对以上三种资料验证的结果表明:MODIS气溶胶算法改进之后得到的C5 AOT数据较C4精度确有很大提高,且优于MISR的AOT数据。  相似文献

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS) sensor onboard NASA's Aqua satellite has been collecting valuable data about the Earth system for more than 14 years, and one of the benefits of this is that it has made it possible to detect the long-term variation in aerosol loading across the globe. However, the long-term aerosol optical depth(AOD)trends derived from MODIS need careful validation and assessment, especially over land. Using AOD products with at least 70 months' worth of measurements collected during 2002–15 at 53 Aerosol Robotic Network(AERONET) sites over land,Mann–Kendall(MK) trends in AOD were derived and taken as the ground truth data for evaluating the corresponding results from MODIS onboard Aqua. The results showed that the AERONET AOD trends over all sites in Europe and North America, as well as most sites in Africa and Asia, can be reproduced by MODIS/Aqua. However, disagreement in AOD trends between MODIS and AERONET was found at a few sites in Australia and South America. The AOD trends calculated from AERONET instantaneous data at the MODIS overpass times were consistent with those from AERONET daily data, which suggests that the AOD trends derived from satellite measurements of 1–2 overpasses may be representative of those from daily measurements.  相似文献

以我国MODIS共享网站积累的MODIS L1B数据和美国威斯康辛大学提供的IMAPP软件包气溶胶产品软件为基础, 经过产品运行本地化改进处理, 在国家卫星气象中心建立了气溶胶产品业务化生成和发布机制。为支持气溶胶遥感产品算法改进以及潜在用户对产品的合理应用, 给出对国家卫星气象中心运行的MODIS气溶胶遥感产品质量检验分析结果。利用2005年1月— 2007年5月AERONET地基气溶胶监测网的L2.0级气溶胶光学厚度产品作为真值, 用它匹配MODIS陆上气溶胶光学厚度产品开展检验。检验结果表明:以卫星过境前后30min地基观测时间平均值匹配地基站点位置10 km半径范围内的卫星反演结果空间平均值开展检验, 总体样本的气溶胶光学厚度均方根误差约为0.25;满足产品误差要求 (±0.05±0.20τ) 的样本占总样本数的44%; 气溶胶光学厚度反演结果精度具有季节和地域差异, 干季(秋、冬、春)的气溶胶光学厚度误差较小, 而雨季气溶胶光学厚度误差较大, 云是雨季气溶胶光学厚度反演结果误差较大的主要影响因素。  相似文献

利用中国太阳分光观测网的观测资料结合MODIS(中分辨率成像光谱仪)的气溶胶产品分析了北京、兰州、上海3个典型区域城市的气溶胶光学特性。结果表明:北京AOD(气溶胶光学厚度)年平均为0.41±0.35,春夏高,秋冬低,Angstrm波长指数α年平均为1.40±0.85表现为细模态粒子,MODIS的光学厚度为0.52±0.39与地面观测相关系数为0.91,存在系统性高估;兰州AOD年平均为0.55±0.21,夏季最低,秋冬较高,α年平均为0.95±0.20表现为粗模态粒子,MODIS光学厚度为0.43±0.21与地面观测相关系数仅为0.07,存在系统性低估;上海AOD年平均为0.55±0.21,无明显季节变化,α平均为1.03±0.25,MODIS光学厚度为0.74±0.30与地面观测相关系数为0.75,存在系统性高估。城市地理位置和复杂地表等原因造成反照率的不确定,MODIS气溶胶产品在这3个城市的反演效果仍有很大提升空间。  相似文献

SUNFLUX is a fast parameterization scheme for determination of the solar radiation at the Earth's surface.In this paper,SUNFLUX is further modified in the treatment of aerosols.A new aerosol parameterization scheme is developed for five aerosol species.Observational data from Baseline Surface Radiation Network(BSRN),Surface Radiation Budget Network(SURFRAD) and Aerosol Robotic Network(AERONET) stations are used to evaluate the accuracy of the original and modified SUNFLUX schemes.General meteorological data are available at SURFRAD stations,but not at BSRN stations.Therefore,the total precipitable water content and aerosol data are obtained from AERONET stations.Fourteen stations are selected from both BSRN and AERONET.Cloud fraction data from MODIS are further used to screen the cloud.Ten-year average aerosol mixing ratios simulated by the CAM-chem system are used to calculate the fractions of aerosol optical depth for each aerosol species,and these fractions are further used to convert the observed total aerosol optical depth into the components of individual species for use in the evaluations.The proper treatment of multiple aerosol types in the model is discussed.The evaluation results using SUNFLUX with the new aerosol scheme,in terms of the BSRN dataset,are better than those using the original aerosol scheme under clear-sky conditions.However,the results using the SURFRAD dataset are slightly worse,attributable to the differences in the input water vapor and aerosol optical depth.Sensitivity tests are conducted to investigate the error response of the SUNFLUX scheme to the errors in the input variables.  相似文献

Aerosol observational data at 8 ground-based observation sites in the Chinese Sun Hazemeter Network(CSHNET)were analyzed to characterize the optical properties of aerosol particles during the strong dust storm of 16-21 April 2005.The observational aerosol optical depth(AOD)increased significantly during this dust storm at sites in Beijing city(86%),Beijing forest(84%),Xianghe(13%),Shapotou(27%),Shenyang(47%),Shanghai(23%),and Jiaozhou Bay(24%).The API(air pollution index)in Beijing and Tianjin also had a similar rise during the dust storm,while the Angstrm exponent(α)declined evidently at sites in Beijing city(21%),Beijing forest(39%),Xianghe(19%),Ordos(77%),Shapotou(50%),Shanghai(12%),and Jiaozhou Bay(21%),respectively.Furthermore,The observational AOD andαdemonstrated contrary trends during all storm stages(pre-dust storm,dust storm,and post-dust storm),with the AOD indicating an obvious"Valley-Peak-Valley"pattern of variation,whileαdemonstrated a"Peak-Valley-Peak"pattern. In addition,the dust module in a regional climate model(RegCM3)simulated the dust storm occurrence and track accurately and RegCM3 was able to basically simulate the trends in AOD.The simulation results for the North China stations were the best,and the simulation for dust-source stations was on the high side,while the simulation was on the low side for coastal sites.  相似文献

利用AERONET(AErosol RObotic NETwork)数据对2008~2012年Terra MODIS(MOderate-resolutionImaging Spectroradiometer)C006 3 km卫星遥感气溶胶产品在京津冀地区的适用性进行了验证,分析京津冀地区3km分辨率气溶胶光学厚度(AOD)的时空分布和变化特征。利用DMSP(Defense Meteorological Satellite System)/OLS(Operational Linescan System)夜间灯光数据作为城市化评价手段,对京津冀地区城市化与AOD时空分布之间的关系进行了研究。结果表明:(1)MODIS 3 km气溶胶产品遥感反演数据和同期AERONET监测数据在研究区具有很好的一致性,相关系数达0.91,满足期望要求;(2)时间上,2008~2012年研究区年平均AOD值在0.361~0.453之间变化,年际间变化浮动大,总体呈下降趋势;AOD春季呈明显下降趋势,夏季总体呈微弱上升趋势,秋季和冬季呈明显上升趋势;(3)空间上,2008~2012年北京、天津和河北中南部的AOD值较高,河北北边AOD值较低;四季AOD空间分布呈现较强烈季节变化,夏季最高,冬季最低;(4)夜间灯光数据和AOD时空分布不仅在空间分布上呈现较好的一致性,且2008~2012年二者的地理权重回归(GWR)模型拟合度R2达0.8左右。研究区内AOD与夜间灯光数据二者相关性显著,城市化发展水平和人类活动对气溶胶的分布有着明显的影响。  相似文献

利用2000年2月—2008年12月的AERONET(AErosol RObotic NETwork)地基观测数据对MODIS/TERRA Collection 005气溶胶光学厚度(aerosol optical thickness;AOT)在华东区域的适用性进行了验证,并利用验证后的MODIS气溶胶产品对华东区域气溶胶光学厚度和尺度分布特征进行了分析。结果表明,(1)通过验证比较,MODIS的AOT在华东区域与AERONET站陆基观测到的AOT具有非常好的一致性,满足美国NASA的设计要求。(2)华东区域的气溶胶光学厚度存在明显的时空分布特征。时间上,在春季和夏季达到最大,而在秋季和冬季最小,表现出明显的季节变化规律。空间上,气溶胶光学厚度受地形影响明显。其高值区主要分布在平原地区,而低值区主要在海拔较高的山区。(3)该区域的气溶胶尺度分布也存在显著的变化特征。在冬、春由于沙尘输送的影响,整个华东区域气溶胶粒子的尺度都比较大,主要以自然生成的沙尘粒子为主。而在夏、秋季由于夏季风和降水的影响,气溶胶粒子的尺度都比较小,以工业排放的人为气溶胶粒子为主。  相似文献

PARASOL (Polarization & Anisotropy of Reflectances for Atmospheric Sciences coupled with Ob- servations from a Lidar) multi-channel and mul- ti-directional polarized data for different aerosol types were compared. The PARASOL polarized radiance data at 490 nm, 670 nm, and 865 nm increased with aerosol optical thickness (AOT) for fine-mode aerosols; however, the polarized radiances at 490 nm and 670 nm decreased as AOT increased for coarse dust aerosols. Thus, the vari- ation of the polarized radiance with AOT can be used to identify fine or coarse particle-dominated aerosols. Polar- ized radiances at three wavelengths for fine- and coarse-mode aerosols were analyzed and fitted by linear regression. The slope of the line for 670 nm and 490 nm wavelength pairs is less than 0.35 for dust aerosols. However, the value for fine-mode aerosols is greater than 0.60. The Support Vector Machine method (SVM) based on 12 vector features was used to discriminate clear sky, coarse dust aerosols, fine-mode aerosols, and cloud. Two cases were given and validated by AErosol RObotic NETwork (AERONET) measurements, MODIS (Mod- erate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) FMF (Fine Mode Fraction at 550 nm) images, PARASOL RGB (Red Green Blue) images, and CALIOP (Cloud-Aerosol Lidar with Orthogonal Polarization) VFM (Vertical Feature Mask) data.  相似文献

利用MODIS_L1B数据,结合AERONET(AErosol RObotic NETwork)地面观测与反演的AOD(Aerosol Optical Depth)数据、北京市自动气象站网的能见度观测数据和北京市道面交通气象监测网的能见度观测数据,选取2012年3月6—11日期间发生在北京市的一次重大霾天气过程作为典型个例,反演了全过程的AOD和能见度变化,分析了两者之间的关系。结果表明:1)由MODIS遥感数据反演的AOD值与地面实测AOD值变化趋势均呈“单峰型”,但由于存在观测时间的偏差,总体上反演值高于实测值;2)利用AOD反演值得到的能见度值与实际能见度观测值基本吻合,两者的时空变化趋势基本一致,两者之间的相关系数大于0.6(P<0.01),符合此次霾过程的实际发生特征。  相似文献

The spatial–temporal properties of aerosol types over China are studied using the radiance measurements and inversions data at four Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) stations in China. Based on a cluster analysis, five aerosol classes were identified including a coarse-sized dominated aerosol type (presumably dust) and four fine-sized dominated aerosol types ranging from non-absorbing to highly absorbing fine aerosols. The optical properties and seasonal variations of these aerosol types are investigated. The results of analysis show that: (1) the highly absorbing aerosols usually occur in winter, (2) non-absorbing aerosols are frequently observed in summer; (3) coarse-sized dominated aerosols are frequently occurred in spring.  相似文献

通过分析中国近海MODIS数据中气溶胶参数与云参数的相互关系,讨论了该区域气溶胶的间接效应及其对于云的可能影响.结果表明,在中国近海,气溶胶具有明显的间接效应,而且由于气溶胶种类和水汽的季节变化,使得气溶胶的间接作用具有很强的时间变化特征.在夏季,由于人为气溶胶占主导,它作为有效的云凝结核,使得气溶胶光学厚度(AOT)分别与云凝结核数(CCN)有正相关、与云滴有效半径(CER)有负相关性、与云光学厚度(COT)也存在着正相关,气溶胶的间接效应明显;在春季,由于沙尘气溶胶盛行,同时沙尘并不是很好的云凝结核,使得气溶胶光学厚度(AOT)分别与云凝结核数(CCN)的正相关减弱、与云滴有效半径(CER)则由夏季的负相关变为正相关、与云光学厚度(COT)存在弱的负相关,气溶胶的间接效应不明显.  相似文献

利用气溶胶自动监测网(AERONET)的太阳光度计(CE-318)资料,对2003-2010年西北干旱半干旱区MODIS暗像元算法和深蓝算法2种气溶胶光学厚度(AOD)产品进行对比验证,在此基础上进一步研究了该区域AOD的空间分布特征及变化趋势。结果表明,MODIS暗像元算法AOD产品在半干旱区原生植被覆盖地表精度优于深蓝算法,而西北干旱区荒漠地表深蓝算法产品精度较高。Aqua—MODIS深蓝算法AOD产品能够较好地给出我国西北荒漠亮地表地区AOD的分布及季节变化情况,AOD高值区多分布在沙尘源区,且春季AOD最大。2003~2010年,塔里木盆地、准噶尔盆地和柴达木盆地年均AOD分别在0.5、0.4和0.3附近波动;沙尘区各区域年均AOD大多呈现增加趋势。其中,塔里木盆地AOD增加趋势较大,而内蒙古西部和准噶尔盆地呈现微弱减少趋势。  相似文献

The aerosol optical properties and direct radiative forcing over the Mu Us desert of northern China, acquired through a CE318 sunphotometer of the ground-based Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET), are analyzed. The seasonal variations in the aerosol optical properties are examined. The effect of meteorological elements (pressure, temperature, water vapor pressure, relative humidity and wind speed) on the aerosol optical properties is also studied. Then, the sources and optical properties under two different cases, a dust event and a pollution event, are compared. The results show that the high aerosol optical depth (AOD) found in Yulin was mostly attributed to the occurrence of dust events in spring from the Mu Us desert and deserts of West China and Mongolia, as well as the impacts of anthropogenic pollutant particles from the middle part of China in the other seasons. The seasonal variation and the probability distribution of the radiative forcing and the radiative forcing efficiency at the surface and the top of the atmosphere are analyzed and regressed using the linear and Gaussian regression methods.  相似文献
