近几年沙尘天气对中国北方环保重点城市可吸入颗粒物污染的影响

 利用2000—2008年中国北方17个环保重点城市API指数资料和同期气象资料,评估沙尘天气对中国北方城市大气环境的整体影响,对比分析不同城市空气质量受春季沙尘影响的程度,并以一次强沙尘暴过程为例,探讨其影响中国北方城市空气质量的范围、程度和过程。结果表明,2000—2008年北方环保重点城市大气的首要污染物是可吸入颗粒物,污染状况严重。春季颗粒物高污染状况主要与沙尘天气有关。不同城市受沙尘影响的程度也不同,影响程度自西向东降低,其中对银川、兰州和西宁影响最大。沙尘天气容易造成严重颗粒物污染事件,颗粒物浓度变化可以清楚地反映沙尘的输送、移动及强度变化。即使在并未出现沙尘天气的地区,在上游沙尘输送作用下,颗粒物浓度也会受较大影响。     

中国沙尘天气变化的时空特征及其气候原因

根据中国大陆1954-1998年338站沙尘天气频次（日数）资料、1948-1999年NCEP/NCAR850hPa位势高度资料、1950-1998年中国160站月降水和气温资料分析了中国沙尘天气与降水、气温及扰动涡旋的相关关系，分析发现，沙尘天气的出现与气温和扰动涡旋的关系密切，表现为沙尘天气频次与冬春气温存在显著的负相关，而与春季850hPa上的扰动涡旋有显著的正相关，基于上述关系建立了一个描述中国沙尘天气特征的指数：沙尘指数，通过分析发现沙尘指数能较好地反映中国北方除新疆以外地区沙尘天气的变化规律。     

中国西北地区沙尘天气的时空位移特征

沙尘暴是一种灾害性的天气,具有明显的时空分布特征。中国西北地区风大、沙多,是沙尘天气和沙尘暴的易发地区。通过GIS技术,利用中国西北5省区和内蒙古西北部158个气象站的沙尘资料,对中国西北地区近45 a总沙尘天气（包括浮尘、扬沙）和沙尘暴的时空变化特征进行分析,初步探讨了不同时间、不同区域的沙尘天气和沙尘暴影响范围。结果表明,无论是沙尘天气还是沙尘暴,都具有明显的时空分布特征;各季节沙尘天气和沙尘暴的影响范围和发生程度不同,总的来说,中国西北地区以春季最为多发,约占全年总数的1/2,依次为夏季、冬季和秋季;不同的季节,不同程度沙尘天气和沙尘暴的影响范围不同,春季是低度易发生区和中度易发生区面积较大时期;夏秋冬是低度易发生区和不发生区面积较大的时期。上述分析表明,沙尘天气和沙尘暴发生的时间和空间都存在差异性。     

石家庄地区沙尘天气分析

针对近年来石家庄地区所出现的沙尘天气,利用17个县市的历史资料,从时空分布、出现原因、天气形势等几方面进行了分析。结果发现：近年石家庄沙尘天气总体减少,春季最多。扬沙和沙尘暴的地理分布取决于沙尘源的地理分布,而浮尘的地理分布则是与上游效应、风向和地形密切相关。上游效应对石家庄沙尘天气的形成有重要作用。产生沙尘的天气形势大部分与大风相同。     

欧亚大气环流对中国北方春季沙尘天气的影响

根据1960-2010年全国701个地面站沙尘观测资料分析了中国春季沙尘天气的空间分布和年际变化,发现南疆和内蒙古两个沙尘源区的沙尘指数51年来都呈现出减小的趋势,其中内蒙古沙尘指数总体较小、年际变化较大,而南疆沙尘指数的波动较小。通过分析南疆和内蒙古沙尘指数典型高、低值年春季环流场发现,控制两个沙尘源区的环流场存在明显差异:南疆沙尘指数低值年时,西路入侵的冷空气减少,受此影响蒙古气旋和南疆热低压减弱,导致南疆地区近地面西风减弱,最终导致南疆沙尘天气减少;内蒙古沙尘指数低值年时,西北路和北路冷空气入侵次数减少,地面场上西伯利亚冷高压和蒙古高压减弱,并且蒙古气旋的发生发展受到限制,导致内蒙古西部近地面西北风和偏西风减小,最终导致内蒙古地区沙尘天气减少。     

2016—2020年沙尘天气对陕西省空气质量的影响特征

基于2016—2020年陕西省环境空气质量监测数据,分析沙尘天气对陕西省空气质量的影响特征。结果表明：（1）陕西省域沙尘天气过程每年发生9—19次,沙尘影响日每年20—46 d;春季为沙尘天气高发季,5月和3月为高发月;沙尘天气过程发生频数空间分布整体表现为自北向南、自东向西递减。（2）各城市沙尘天气过程持续时间2—120 h,关中城市持续时长总体高于陕北和陕南城市;不同沙尘天气过程PM₁₀峰值浓度变化范围大,最高值出现在榆林（3 219 μg·m^-3）。（3）2018年沙尘天气对陕西省PM₁₀年均浓度影响最大,2020年影响最小,年均浓度绝对贡献分别为9.3 μg·m^-3 和2.9 μg·m^-3;各城市沙尘影响日超标占比66.7%—89.7%,污染等级以轻度和中度污染为主,严重和重度污染较少;榆林、延安和商洛的严重污染100%来源于沙尘天气,关中5市的严重污染20.5%—66.7%来源于沙尘天气。     

1463～1913年华北地区沙尘天气序列复原及初步分析

作者系统查阅了华北地区明、清、民国时期地方志和有关正史、实录史料,搜集到1463～1913年的1401条有关沙尘天气记录,在对这些历史记录进行时间分布特征分析后发现,华北地区1463～1913年沙尘天气的年内和年际变化具有如下特点:1)70%左右的沙尘天气发生在春季,其中发生在4月份的沙尘天气大约占总数的30%;2)在过去的451年间,华北地区沙尘天气的发生数量没有明显的增加或减少的趋势,10年滑动平均曲线则表现出30年至50年的准周期振荡;3)历史时期沙尘天气序列与华北地区同期春季温度距平序列存在很显著的负相关,与华北中、北部地区的降水序列也存在显著的负相关。     

古尔班通古特沙漠积雪覆盖、沙尘天气特征及其相互关系

利用TERRA/MODIS MOD10A2雪盖产品数据和地面观测积雪日数、冻土深度和沙尘天气日数等数据,从不同时间尺度分析古尔班通古特沙漠地表积雪覆盖与沙尘天气的特征及其相互关系。结果表明:①沙尘天气主要发生在4—10月,春季（4—5月）沙尘天气最多,夏秋季逐渐减少。从年际变化看,20世纪80年代前,沙尘天气发生日数呈逐年增加趋势,而积雪日数增减波动较大,二者间关系不明显,80年代后,沙尘天气逐年减少,积雪日数呈波动增加趋势。②冬春季积雪覆盖率、≥1 cm积雪日数、≥5 cm积雪日数、≥10 cm积雪日数与翌年春季沙尘天气发生均呈显著负相关关系,冬春季≥1 cm积雪日数每超过常年平均积雪日数1 d,翌年春季沙尘天气日数则减少4.3 d,而平均冻土深度与沙尘天气呈显著正相关关系。③积雪覆盖使沙漠地表形成冷源性下垫面和近地层逆温层结,增加了大气稳定度,同时春季积雪消融增加了土壤湿度,为荒漠植被生长提供充足的水分,使表层土壤为强风提供沙尘的可能性降低,从而对沙尘天气的发生起到阻碍、消弱作用。     

西安沙尘天气特征及其对空气质量的影响

利用1971-2003年西安市常规气象观测资料、2001-2003年西安市区主要污染物日均浓度资料和2002年3月一次重度污染事件逐时的PM₁₀浓度资料,分析了西安市沙尘天气的时间分布特征及其对主要空气污染物浓度的影响。结果表明:西安市沙尘天气近30多年来总体呈波动式明显减少的趋势,但2001-2002年有所增多,2003年又减少。沙尘天气主要出现在春季,4月最多,占全年天数的22.6%。沙尘天气对西安空气质量影响显著,可使3~4月PM₁₀月浓度平均提高12.1%,在分析的一次强沙尘暴个例中,一小时内PM₁₀浓度最高增加了0.585mg·m^-3,达到0.970mg·m^-3,从而造成严重的空气污染事件。     

新疆春季沙尘天气与前期月环流特征量的关系

用新疆春季(3～5月)的沙尘日数和北半球500hPa月环流特征量等资料,使应用相关和逐步回归分析方法,研究了新疆春季沙尘天气与前一年的月环流特征量的关系,相关分析和统计结果表明：(1)新疆春季的沙尘天气不仅与同在中纬度地区的西风带上的经向环流、东亚槽等有关,还更多地与中低纬地区的副热带高压以及高纬地区的极涡等系统的月环流特征量有关。(2)新疆春季沙尘天气与前一年夏、秋季的大气环流之间存在明显的隔季相关现象。(3)利用前一年月环流特征量建立了新疆春季沙尘天气日数之间的9个回归模型,9个分析模型都通过了0．001信度检验。其中,南疆的3个模型沙尘暴、扬沙、浮尘和全疆的扬沙、浮尘模型试报效果最好。

Deserts and Aeolian Desertification in China: Book review and some thoughts

Desertification is a global phenomenon that affects about two billion people. It occurs in arid zones where the annual precipitation is below 400 mm, partic- ularly in the marginal areas of the world＇s largest deserts. It is a result of water and wind erosion, over- grazing, global warm-ing, improper soil cultivation, and increased pressure ot population growth, and it causes degradation of soil and natural and agricultural vegetation. The direct result is less food for people and livestock, which influences pop- ulation and animal husbandry fluctuations. Despite ef- forts to combat and reduce desertification, the affected areas are annually increasing.

Weinbaum's short story, “Parasite Planet,”introduces an unusual environment that may be wrong in the light of recent evidence on Venus but still stimulates the geographical imagination.
